Stack Trellis™ Starter Kit
Description
The Stack Trellis ™ is a free-standing expandable trellis that is easily assembled by the gardener to
create more usable vertical growing space, while keeping vines and vegetable plants off of the ground. It
can be used directly in the garden or in 15” or larger containers. It is shipped in a compact package to be
assembled in tiers, giving the gardener unlimited height options!
This trellis is sold in two different kits, as the "Starter Kit" and the "Add A Stack™ Kit".
Here’s how the trellis expands:
The Starter Kit trellis provides the trellis foundation. A garden stake (not included) provides the vertical
"backbone of the trellis" (shown in green, above)
1. The Starter Kit trellis is assembled.
2. A standard 3/4" garden stake is inserted through the center of the assembled Starter Kit trellis and
pushed into the ground or container.
3. Each trellis "stack" is interconnected to attach it to the preceding trellis as shown
4. Another “stack” is simply attached onto the existing Starter Kit trellis, using the Add A Stack™ Kit,
when additional height is needed.
The height of the trellis is only limited to the height of the garden stake used with the Starter Kit (ie 4 ft
or 5 ft stake or greater).
This product is mainly used as a sturdy plant support for vegetable gardening or as an attractive trellis for
flowering vines but it can also be used for supporting seasonal decor. Its unique wrought iron appearance
is viewed as a topiary in the daytime; after adding some LED light strings, the trellis creates the perfect
ambience in outdoor living spaces after dark.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS for the

identical parts that are pre-
assembled. An example of 1
part is shown above.
Hold one of the pre-assembled parts and rotate the 1st Leg
that is adjacent to the Leg with Pins

Align the small holes with the Pins and pinch together

Continue to rotate the Legs and pinch together to form the
Star.

To finish, pull the Cable tie loop to the outer
edge and not through the large center hole see
Top image, connect and trim the ends of the
Cable Ties as needed.
Insert two

through the Small
Holes that are
opposite each

way to connect the

How to connect the Cable Tie Loop
Insert on the flat side
Peel back both ends of the Stand-Off Tube to
create the “Stand-Off Tube Ends” (like peeling
a banana)

Insert one Star’s short
tube into the Stand-Off
Tube and align the
four Star’s Legs with
each of the four Stand-
Off Tube Ends.
Attach all 4 Legs to the
Stand-Off Tube Ends with
Cable Ties (trim excess
Cable Tie after tightening),
remove the Small Tube

Repeat Steps 6 and 7 to attach the second Star
Assembly on opposite end of the Stand-Off
Tube..

Repeat Steps 1-4 to assemble the second Star
Note: Keep the Short Tube in both the Stars

Twist the end of one of the Star’s Legs
and insert into the Key Hole on the
Bottom Star, repeat with the remaining 3
Legs.
Place your assembled Trellis either on
top of your container, or in the garden.
9 Trim the Legs of Bottom Star (as shown
below) so that they fit inside wall of container
or if using in the garden, trim the legs to
about 10 inches (keeping the Key Hole).

Minimum 12” Deep Pot
Set the Trellis aside and proceed to planting
as shown in Step 11

your container or in the
soil, allowing room for

single plant, place the
plant closer to the

Trim
all 4 of
these
Legs

If your plant does not climb and you are using the trellis
for a plant cage, simply add some twine! Wrap the twine
around each Leg as shown and additional cross strings if
more support is desired.

Replace the assembled trellis in
the container or in the garden and
cover the bottom Star Legs with at
least 2 inches of soil.

Add a ¾” diameter
x 5’ stake down the
Stand-Off Tube.
Push
Stake
all the
way to
the bottom
of the Pot.

Build another trellis
tier by repeating
Steps 1 through 7.
Slide Stand-Off Tube over
stake and secure the 4
Stand-Off Tube legs with
Cable Ties and the Star legs
into the Key Holes on top of
lower trellis per Step 7 & 9.
Note: A climbing plant will stop
growing when they reach the top of
the trellis or start to wrap around
itself... Not to worry, Scroll Trellis has
the Add A Stack™ trellis product
which is made to simply “Stack As It
Grows™” to quickly add height to this
trellis!
The Add A Stack™ Trellis is sold
separately. Patent Pending
