The ultimate safety of your child depends on the proper and secure
installation of the Booster Car Seat in your vehicle. Proper installation
requires that you read and understand this entire manual and your
vehicle’s owner’s manual before placing your child in the Booster Car
Seat.
DONOT allow others to install or use this Booster Car Seat unless they
completely understand its proper use and installation.
- When using Booster Car Seat with a Vehicle Lap/Shoulder belt to
secure your child the vehicle belt must be properly routed and
positioned on your child and adjusted snugly.
- This Booster Car Seat IS FOR USE in passenger cars,
multi-purpose vehicles (vans and SUVs), trucks, and school buses
that have Vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belts.
- This Booster Car Seat IS NOT FOR USE on aircraft as a
Lap/Shoulder Belt is NOT available on aircrafts.

Yourchild’ssafetydependson:
1. Choosing the best location within your vehicle for using the Booster
Car Seat. Seating positions with frontal Air Bags must be avoided if
possible.
2. Proper installation.
a. Backless Booster Use Mode
- RequiresproperroutingandadjustingtofVehicle
Lap/Shoulder Belt.
b. Always properly position the vehicle belts on your child and
snugly adjust the vehicle belts around child.
NOTE: Not all vehicle seat belts or vehicle seats can be used with
this Booster Car Seat.
NEVER use with a Vehicle Lap Belt ONLY.
3. Proper belt adjustment.
- Properly position Vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belt on child.
- Snugly adjust belts around child.

Not every seating location within a vehicle may be safe for use of
this Booster Car Seat. In fact, some vehicles have no seating
location that is safe for the use of a Booster Car Seat. Improper
placement of this Booster Car Seat within a vehicle will increase
the risk of death or serious injury in a sudden stop or crash.
See “Vehicle Seat Belts” section for more information on vehicle
seat belts.
Please follow the instructions in this manual and in your vehicle
owner’s manual carefully to ensure proper location and installation
of this Car Seat. If you are uncertain about the proper location of

7.1OverallConsiderationsforSelectingaSeatingLocation:
• Pleasereviewyourvehicle’sowner’smanualtodeterminethe
bestlocationforBoosterCarSeatuse,anyspecicinstructions
for Booster Car Seat installation, or to determine if any locations
are unsafe for Booster Car Seat use. If you do not have the
vehicle’s owner’s manual or the owner’s manual does not
address child Booster Car Seat use, please contact the vehicle
manufacturer to obtain this information before using the Booster
Car Seat.
• Usearearseatlocationwheneverpossible.Rearseating
locations have been shown to be statistically safer for children
than a front seating location.
• Onlyuseavehiclefrontseatinglocationifspecicallyallowed
in vehicle’s owner’s manual and following all instructions in the
vehicle’s owner’s manual.
• Itisrecommendedthatyouuse
the vehicle center rear seat location
when possible as this is the safest
location for the Booster Car Seat.

DONOTusethisBoosterCarSeatinthefollowingseating
locations.
•Neveruse this Booster Car Seat in a vehicle seating location
that has an Active Air Bag unless recommended in the vehicle’s
owner’s manual. If your vehicle is equipped with a front
passenger Air Bag, please refer to the vehicle’s owner’s manual
for additional information about Air Bags and child safety
seat installation.
•DONOT use this Booster Car Seat in any
vehicle seat that faces to the rear
of the vehicle.
•DONOT use this Booster Car Seat in any
vehicle seat that faces to the side
of the vehicle.
•DONOT use the Booster Car Seat in a vehicle seating location
that has a vehicle seat back that does not lock in position. A
vehicle seat back that folds forward must lock to prevent it from
moving forward in a sudden stop or crash.
