INSTRUCTIONS FOR
RECHARGEABLE PORTABLE FLOODLIGHT
10W, 20W SMD LED
MODEL NO: LED084 & LED085
1. SAFETY
1.1. Electrical Safety
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to check the following:
Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using. Inspect power supply leads, plugs and
all electrical connections for wear and damage. Sealey recommend that an RCD (Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical
products. You may obtain an RCD by contacting your local Sealey dealer.
If the lamp is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable Appliance
Test) tested.
9It is important that the following information is read and understood.
9Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
9Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage and check all connections to ensure that they are secure.
9Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the power supply to be used.
8DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable.
8DO NOT pull the plug from the socket by the cable.
8DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors.
Sealey recommend that repairs are carried out by a qualied electrician.
1.2. General Safety
WARNING! Turn off the mains power supply before servicing or performing any maintenance.
▲DANGER! DO NOT direct the light into a person’s eyes. All models have a very intense light output which,if used incorrectly, could
cause eye damage.
8DO NOT use the light without the front glass shield.
8DO NOT use the light near ammable, combustible or explosive liquids, solids, gases or equipment.
9 Maintain the light in good condition. Repairs must only be undertaken by a qualied electrician (use an authorised service agent).
9Locate the light in an adequate area for its function, keep area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials.
9When not in use, switch off the light and disconnect from the power supply. Ensure that the unit is cool and dry and then store in a
safe, dry, childproof area.
8DO NOT place the light where it is likely to be knocked or hit.

2. INTRODUCTION
Portable, rechargeable, constant current oodlight, with replaceable battery pack. Die cast aluminium housing with integral stand. SMD LED
technology allows ultra-bright illumination, providing an even spread of light across a 110° angle. Features battery level indicator.
Model No. LED085 also features a 5V/1A USB output for charging electronic devices. Supplied with mains charger.

4. OPERATION
4.1 This LED floodlight develops minimal heat and is not subject to the same restrictions that apply to halogen lamps that become too
hot to touch. We do however recommend that the floodlight should not be placed in cramped or restrictive situations and recommend
the following minimum distances between the light and any surface/object.
● 500mm minimum between the top of the light and any overhead surface, or objects.
● 200mm between sides of light any surface
● 1 metre minimum between the front of the light and any object to be illuminated.
4.2. Press the on / off button (fig.1.3) to switch light on to 50% of illumination press button again for full illumination, press again to switch
off (LEDE085 only). LED084 has simple on/off switch (fig.1.2).
4.3. The number of green charge indicator lights (g.1.6) showing denote the level of charge.
4.4. The battery can be recharged at any time. To recharge: insert the charger jack into the charger socket (g.1.4). Connect the charger to
the electrical supply and switch on. Ensure that the light is switched off during charging.
4.5. The battery may be charged separately from the oodlight if required.
4.6. When all the charge indicator lights are lit, charging is complete. Switch off the charger and remove from charging socket.
4.5. To remove the battery press the two release clips (g.1.1) and slide the battery from the oodlight housing.
4.6. LED085 includes a 5v 1A USB socket (g1.5), which may be used to charge or power small electronic devices
4.7. Extra batteries can be bought as a spare part (LED084B, LED085B)
WARNING! Ensure the light is disconnected from the mains power supply when not in use. Ensure that the unit is cool and dry and
is stored in a cool, dry, childproof area.

5. MAINTENANCE
5.1. Clean the casing externally with a moist cloth. DO NOT use solvents or abrasives.
5.2. If necessary clean the glass with alcohol and a soft cloth.

Environmental Protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted,
taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable) into
approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.
WEEE Regulations
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally
protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
