1.1. HAZARDS:

9 Failureoftheworkpiece,ofaccessoriesorevenoftheinsertedtoolitselfcangeneratehigh-velocityprojectiles.
9 Alwayswearimpact-resistanteyeprotectionduringtheoperationoftheassemblypowertoolforthreadedfasteners.Thegradeof
protectionrequiredshouldbeassessedforeachuse.
9 Ensurethattheworkpieceissecurelyxed.
1.1.2. ENTANGLEMENT
9 Entanglementhazardscanresultinchoking,scalpingand/orlacerationsiflooseclothing,personaljewellery,neckwear,hairorgloves
arenotkeptawayfromthetoolandaccessories.
9 Glovescanbecomeentangledwiththerotatingdrive,causingseveredorbrokenngers.Rotatingdrivesocketsanddriveextensions
caneasilyentanglerubber-coatedormetal-reinforcedgloves.
8DO NOTwearloose-ttingglovesorgloveswithcutorfrayedngers.
8 Neverholdthedrive,socketordriveextension.
9 Keephandsawayfromrotatingdrives.
1.1.3. OPERATING
9 Theuseofthetoolcanexposetheoperator’shandstohazardsincludingcrushing,impacts,cutsandabrasionsandheat.Wear
suitableglovestoprotecthands.
9 Operatorsandmaintenancepersonnelshallbephysicallyabletohandlethebulk,weightandpowerofthetool.
9 Holdthetoolcorrectly;bereadytocounteractnormalorsuddenmovementsandhavebothhandsavailable.
9 Maintainabalancedbodypositionandsecurefooting.
9 Incaseswherethemeanstoabsorbthereactiontorquearerequested,itisrecommendedtouseasuspensionarmwhenever
possible.Ifthatisnotpossible,sidehandlesarerecommendedforstraightcaseandpistol-griptools.
9 Releasethestart-and-stopdeviceinthecaseofaninterruptionoftheenergysupply.
9 Useonlylubricantsrecommendedbythemanufacturer.
9 Fingerscanbecrushedinopen-endedcrow-footnutrunners.

1.1.4. REPETITIVE MOTIONS
9 Whenusingapowertoolfor,theoperatorcanexperiencediscomfortinthehands,arms,shoulders,neck,orotherpartsofthebody.
Whileusinganassemblypowertoolforthreadedfasteners,theoperatorshouldadoptacomfortableposturewhilemaintainingsecure
footingandavoidingawkwardoro-balancedpostures.Theoperatorshouldchangepostureduringextendedtasks,whichcanhelp
avoiddiscomfortandfatigue.
9 Iftheoperatorexperiencessymptomssuchaspersistentorrecurringdiscomfort,pain,throbbing,aching,tingling,numbness,burning
sensationsorstiness,thesewarningsignsshouldnotbeignored.Theoperatorshouldtelltheemployerandconsultaqualiedhealth
professional.
1.1.5. ACCESSORIES
9 Disconnecttheassemblypowertoolforthreadedfastenersfromtheenergysupplybeforechangingtheinsertedtooloraccessory.

9 Useonlysizesandtypesofaccessoriesandconsumablesthatarerecommendedbytheassemblypowertoolforthreadedfasteners

9 Useonlyimpact-wrench-ratedsocketsingoodcondition,aspoorconditionorhandsocketsandaccessoriesusedwithimpact

suretherearenoelectricalcables,gaspipes,etc.,thatcancauseahazardifdamagedbyuseofthetool.
1.1.7. DUST AND FUMES
9 Dustandfumesgeneratedwhenusingassemblypowertoolsforthreadedfastenerscancauseillhealth(forexamplecancer,birth
defects,asthmaand/ordermatitis);riskassessmentandimplementationofappropriatecontrolsforthesehazardsareessential.
9 Riskassessmentshouldincludedustcreatedbytheuseofthetoolandthepotentialfordisturbingexistingdust.
9 Directtheexhaustsoastominimizedisturbanceofdustinadust-lledenvironment.
9 Wheredustorfumesarecreated,thepriorityshallbetocontrolthematthepointofemission.
9 Allintegralfeaturesoraccessoriesforthecollection,extractionorsuppressionofairbornedustorfumesshouldbecorrectlyused
andmaintainedinaccordancewiththemanufacturer’sinstructions.
9 Userespiratoryprotectioninaccordancewithemployer’sinstructionsandasrequiredbyoccupationalhealthandsafetyregulations.
1.1.8. NOISE
9 Exposuretohighnoiselevelscancausepermanent,disablinghearinglossandotherproblems,suchastinnitus(ringing,buzzing,
whistlingorhummingintheears).Thereforeariskassessmentandimplementationofappropriatecontrolsforthesehazards
are essential.
9 Appropriatecontrolstoreducetheriskmayincludeactionssuchasdampingmaterialstopreventworkpiecesfrom“ringing”.
9 Usehearingprotectioninaccordancewithemployer’sinstructionsandasrequiredbyoccupationalhealthandsafetyregulations.
9 Operateandmaintaintheassemblypowertoolforthreadedfastenersasrecommendedintheinstructionshandbook,toprevent
anunnecessaryincreaseinnoiselevels.
9 Iftheassemblypowertoolforthreadedfastenershasasilencer,alwaysensureitisinplaceandingoodworkingorderwhenthe
assemblypowertoolforthreadedfastenersisoperating.
9 Select,maintainandreplacetheconsumable/insertedtoolasrecommendedintheinstructionshandbook,topreventanunnecessary
increase in noise.
1.1.9. VIBRATION
9 Exposuretovibrationcancausedisablingdamagetothenervesandbloodsupplyofthehandsandarms.
9 Keepthehandsawayfromthesockets.
9 Wearwarmclothingwhenworkingincoldconditionsandkeepyourhandswarmanddry.
9 Ifyouexperiencenumbness,tingling,painorwhiteningoftheskininyourngersorhands,stopusingtheassemblypowertool
forthreadedfasteners,tellyouremployerandconsultaphysician.
9 Operateandmaintainthetoolforthreadedfastenersasrecommendedintheinstructionshandbook,topreventanunnecessary
increaseinvibrationlevels.
8DO NOTusewornorill-ttingsocketsorextensions,asthisislikelytocauseasubstantialincreaseinvibration.
9 Select,maintainandreplacetheconsumable/insertedtoolasrecommendedintheinstructionshandbook,topreventanunnecessary
increaseinvibrationlevels.
9 Sleevettingsshouldbeusedwherepracticable.
9 Supporttheweightofthetoolinastand,tensionerorbalancer,ifpossible.
9 Holdthetoolwithalightbutsafegrip,takingaccountoftherequiredhandreactionforces,becausetheriskfromvibrationisgenerally
greater when the grip force is higher.
1.2. PNEUMATIC POWER TOOLS

9 Wheneveruniversaltwistcouplings(clawcouplings)areused,lockpinsshallbeinstalledandwhipchecksafetycablesshallbeused
tosafeguardagainstpossiblehose-to-toolandhose-and-hoseconnectionfailure.

9 Fortorque-controlandcontinuous-rotationtools,theairpressurehasasafetycriticaleectonperformance.Therefore,requirements
forlengthanddiameterofthehoseshallbespecied.

4. PREPARATION
4.1. Forrecommendedhook-up,procedureisshowninfigs1&2.
4.2. AIR SUPPLY
4.2.1. Ensurewrenchairvalve(ortrigger)isinthe“o”positionbeforeconnectingtotheairsupply.
4.2.2. Youwillrequireanairpressureof90psiandanairflowaccordingtospecification.
WARNING! Ensuretheairsupplyiscleananddoesnotexceed90psiwhileoperatingthe wrench. Too high an air pressure and unclean
airwillshortentheproductlifeduetoexcessivewearandmaybedangerouscausingdamageand/orpersonalinjury.
4.2.3. Drainthecompressorairtankdaily.Waterintheairlinewilldamagethewrench.
4.2.4. Cleancompressorairinletfilterweekly.
4.2.5. Linepressureshouldbeincreasedtocompensateforunusuallylongairhoses(over8metres).Theminimumhosediametershouldbe
1/4”I.D.andfittingsmusthavethesameinsidedimensions.
4.2.6. Keephoseawayfromheat,oilandsharpedges.Checkhoseforwearandmakecertainthatallconnectionsaresecure.
4.3. COUPLINGS
4.3.1. Vibrationmaycausefailureifaquickchangecouplingisconnecteddirectlytothewrench.Toovercomethis,connectaleaderhoseto
thewrench.Aquickchangecouplingmaythenbeusedtoconnecttheleaderhosetotheairlinerecoilhose.Seegs1&2.

5.1. Fithandletothebodyinthedesiredorientation,g.3.
6. OPERATION
WARNING! Ensure you read, understand and apply safety instructions before use.
6.1.1. Onlyuseimpactsocketswhicharespecicallydesignedforusewithanimpactwrench.
6.1.2. Connect the wrench to the air hose as in Section 4.
6.1.3. Placethesocketoverthesubjectnutanddepressthetriggertooperatethewrench.
6.1.4. Tochangedrivedirectionturnthecontrolontherearofthebodytothedesireddirection,g.3.
6.1.5. Thetorquemaybeadjustedintheforwardgearbyadjustingthetorquecontrolontherearofthebody,between1lowpower
and3fullpower,g.3.
6.1.6. The wrench incorporatestwoexhausts,oneatthebottomofthehandleandoneatthefrontabovethetrigger.Thehandle
exhaustisadjustableallowingyoutoadjusttheowthrougheitherthehandleorfrontexhaust.Whenthehandleexhaustisfullyopen
thespeedofthewrenchisincreased,whenthehandleexhaustisclosedthewrenchspeedwilldecreaseandtheairwillbevented
throughthefrontexhaust.
8DO NOTuseanyadditionalforceuponthewrenchinordertoremoveanut.
8DO NOTallowwrenchtofreerunforanextendedperiodoftimeasthiswillshortenitslife.
7. MAINTENANCE
WARNING!Disconnectwrenchfromairsupplybeforechangingaccessories,servicingorperformingmaintenance.
Replaceorrepairdamagedparts.Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
7.1. IftheairsystemdoesnothaveanoilerlubricatetheairwrenchdailywithafewdropsofSealeyairtooloildrippedintotheairinlet.
7.2. Clean the wrench after use. DO NOT use worn or damaged sockets.
7.3. Lossofpowerorerraticactionmaybeduetothefollowing:
a) Excessivedrainontheairline.Moistureorrestrictionintheairpipe.Incorrectsizeortypeofhoseconnectors.Toremedy,checkthe
air supply and follow instructions in Section 4.
b)Gritorgumdepositsinthewrenchmayalsoreduceperformance.Removethestrainer,cleanitandflushthewrenchoutwithgum
solventoiloranequalmixtureofSAENo10oilandparaffin.Allowtodrybeforeuse.

5.5. Whennotinuse,disconnectfromairsupply,cleanwrenchandstoreinasafe,dry,childprooflocation.

uncontrolleduseofthistool.Werecommendasufficientsupplyofclothing(includinggloves)toenabletheoperatortoremainwarmanddryand
