
Re-insert the battery and clip the
back cover on.
Gently open the antenna covers on
the top and the bottom of the router
and leave these open. Do not
remove them, they will remain
loosely connected to the router.
Mount the router bracket using
screws or self-adhesive pads within
reach of the antenna cables.
When choosing a location, note that
cables will connect to the router
from above and below as shown
below.
3. Connect the Power Adapter
Connect the power adapter with
USB cable to the vehicle with the
cigarette lighter style connector.
Slide the router into the mounting
bracket, and then insert USB-C
power connector. Lastly insert the
external antenna cables to the top
and bottom antenna connectors.
These will need a firm push to
connect them.
4. Configure the Router
Press and hold the power button on
the top left of the router for a few
seconds to switch it on. You should
see ‘Welcome’, and then
‘Connecting’, and then the network
name of the SIM card you have used.
You will see the following icons.
The router will automatically
connect to the internet for most
mobile networks. You should see the
connection icon showing.
If the connection icon does not
show, or ‘No Service’ or ‘Limited
Service’ is displayed, go to the
troubleshooting section at the end
of this guide.
5. Connecting devices to the Wi-Fi
On the front of the router is a label
with the default network name, in
the format ZTE_xxxxxx and the
default 8-digit numeric password.
To connect a device, enter these
details into Wi-Fi settings, or scan
the QR code with your device
camera and click on the message to
‘Join’.
