MOTORHOME WI-FI
CAT4 (ZTE MF920U)
QUICK START GUIDE
1. Install the Antennas
The kit comes with two
external 4G antennas to
improve signal strength
and consistency.
They can be mounted
using a self-adhesive
double-sided pad or
magnet mounted.
Choose a location on the
motorhome as high as
possible. Keep in mind the
length of the antenna
cable, how you intend to
route the cable inside and
the planned location of
the router.
2. Install the Router
Gently open the SIM card
cover (as shown below).
Do not remove it. Insert
the Micro-SIM card until it
clicks and close the cover.
Gently open the antenna covers on
the top of the router and leave these
open. Do not remove them, they will
remain loosely connected to the
router.
Mount the router bracket using
screws or self-adhesive pads within
reach of the antenna cables.
Slide the router into the mounting
bracket as above. Insert the external
antenna cables to the antenna
connectors. These will need a firm
push.
3. Connect the Power Adapter
Connect the power adapter to the
vehicle and the micro-USB power
connector to the router.

4. Configure the Router
Press and hold the power button
right of the router for a few
seconds. All four LED indicators will
light, and then flash in sequence as
it starts up.
You will see the following icons.
Battery
Wi-Fi
SMS Messages
Mobile Network
The router will automatically
connect to the internet for most
mobile networks. You should see the
connection icon flashing blue.
This means it is connected to the 4G
network and data is being
transferred.
If the connection icon is red, go to
the troubleshooting section at the
end of this guide.
If it is showing green, then it has
made a 3G connection.
5. Connecting devices to the Wi-Fi
On the front of the router is a label
with the default network name, in
the format ZTE_xxxxxx and the
default 8-digit numeric password.
To connect a device, enter these
details into Wi-Fi settings, or scan
the QR code with your device
camera and click on the message to
‘Join’.
6. Changing Router Settings
(OPTIONAL)
Download the ZTE Link App.

Connect to the Wi-Fi, start the app
and log-in with the password
written on the bottom line of the
label on the back of the router.
Accept privacy policy, choose
whether to share location and/or
allow notifications.

To change the Wi-Fi name or
password, tap ‘Toolkit’ at the
bottom, and ‘Wi-Fi settings’. Here
you can enter a new network name
(SSID) and/or a new password.
Note. The SECURE CAMPER sticker
and QR code will no longer work if
you change the name or password
for the Wi-Fi.
To change the admin password, tap
‘MORE’ and then ‘Password
Management’.
Troubleshooting
If the connection icon shows red,
check the following.
a. Check the SIM is correctly
installed and has data allowance.
b. Move the antennas or the
motorhome to a different
location to see if there are mobile
network signal issues.
c. In the app, tap ‘Toolkit’, then
‘Network Diagnosis’. This will
check the SIM, signal, other
settings and the APN. Follow any
instructions given.
