I. Introduction
These instructions are to be used to install a SecureALL SA-ROU router.
Customer Supplied Materials:
1. Phillips head screwdriver
2. 1/2" 8-32 screws (2)
3. Carlon B618R 4O Box
4. CAT-5 cable, one end of which is connected to a POE switch
II. Installation Instructions
1. Based on the router installation drawings supplied by SecureALL, locate the position at
which a router is to be installed. Drill a 4 1/8" hole in the ceiling tile.
2. Procure a Carlon B618R 4O box (available at Home Depot). Pictures are shown below.

3. Screw the 8-32 screws into the 4O box, leaving approximately 1/16". Remove one of the
breakout sections (Fig. 1b). This is where the CAT-5 cable will be threaded through the
box.
4. Pull the CAT-5 cable through the hole in the ceiling tile and then thread it through the 4O
box opening (Fig 2).

5. The 4O box comes with wings (Fig. 3a). Fold the wings back and insert the box into the
hole in the ceiling tile (Fig. 3b).

6. Screw the three screws connected to the wings until the box is securely in the ceiling tile.
7. The router dome is shown in Fig 4a (bottom view) and Fig 4b (side view). Note in Fig 4a
the CAT-5 cable socket and the holes that are used to attach the router to the 4O box.

8. Take the CAT-5 cable that has been threaded through the 4O box and plug it into the
router socket (Fig 5.)

9. There is a small switch (Fig. 6) just to the left and below the CAT-5 socket in the router.
Check to make sure the switch is to the right, in the "normal" position.

10. Holding the router by its dome, align the connecting holes with the 8-32 screws in the 4O
box. Slide the router onto the screws and rotate the dome until the router is securely in
place. If the router has difficulty going onto the screws, loosen the screws slightly and
re-attach. If the router is too loose after attachment, tighten the screws slightly and re-
attach. (See Fig. 7 for final assembly)
