INSTALLATION
MOUNTING:
1. The OEM-6400.FT is design to be mounted on the License Plate bezel of a Ford Transit Van
vehicle. The particular mounting style of this camera will allow it to only be used on the
license plate lamp of this particular vehicle.
2. Unclip and remove the factory license plate illumination lamp using a screw driver or panel
removing tool (STEP 1). To do this, you may need to remove the interior panel of rear cargo
door. Be cautious not to scratch the paint on the body surface.
3. The bulb housing can be separated from the fixture once the assembly is removed. (STEP 1)
4. Route the wire harness through the fixture (STEP 2)and into the door through the license
plate limp mounting location. The wire harness can then be routed into the van through the
factory door boot.
5. Snap the OEM-6400.FT camera in place on the light fixture. Make sure it is secured tightly
once it is snapped into place. The factory license plate bulb should now be housed inside the
OEM-6400 camera. Snap the camera and fixture into place on the door (STEP 2).
NOTE: The interior panels of the rear cargo door will need to be removed in order to route the
camera cable into the car. This will also make it easier to remove the license plate lamp.

CAMERA:
1. The color CMOS camera is maintenance-free, waterproof (IP-68) and vibration resistant.
2. This camera is designed to work well in day time or night time conditions.
3. The camera is completely electronic. There are NO manual adjustments for focus, etc.

WIRING:
1. Carefully route the wiring harness of the camera into the van using the pre-existing factory door
boot. Be careful not to accidentally break any wires or damage the rubber door boot when routing
the camera wiring harness.
2. Choose a convenient place to run the camera cable up the left or right side of the vehicle. As a
rule of thumb, try to avoid main factory harness looms that may contain high levels or RF noise or
interference.
3. You can connect the camera power at the rear of the vehicle behind the reverse lights. You may
also connect power inside the vehicle under the dash or in the trunk. The Red power wire goes to
Reverse Light +12V, and the Black wire to Ground.
4. Run the Yellow RCA video cable to the monitor’s video input or reverse camera input.
•The pair of Green wires coming out of the wire harness is for the Parking Guidelines feature.
If you leave the two wires disconnected, the parking lines are activated. If you connect the two
wires together, the parking lines will be turned off.
