2.0 SAFETY
2.1 Securityverication
• Use the product within the scope described in the chapter “Permitted Use of the Product.”
• Whenusingtheinstrument,followcurrentsafetyregulations.
• Do not use the instrument if damaged on the case.
• Keep the instrument away from solvents.
• Strictly follow what is described in this manual under “Maintenance” when maintaining the instrument.
• All work not specied in this manual may only be performed by Seitron service centers. On the contrary, Seitron disclaims any
responsibility for the normal operation of the instrument and the validity of the relevant approvals.
• Wear safety glasses and suitable gloves when using the product.
• Read the maintenance instructions for the refrigeration system carefully before using this tool.
2.2 Permitted Use of the Product
This chapter describes the application areas for which the BE COOL B100 scale is intended to be used.
All the devices off the BE COOL series are portable measurement instruments intended for use in the installation and/or maintenance of
refrigeration systems and heat pumps. THIS INSTRUMENT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USE BY INEXPERIENCED CONSUMERS, SO IT
IS FOR QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS ONLY.
2.3 Unauthorized use of the product
Use of the scale in application areas other than those mentioned in Section 2.2 “Permitted use of the product” is at the operator’s own
risk,andthemanufacturerassumesnoresponsibilityforanyloss,damage,orcoststhatmayresult.
It is your obligation to read and pay attention to the instructions in this operation and maintenance manual.
This instrument should not be used as:
• As safety device in safety compelling areas.
• Atexclassiedareas.
• Refrigeration systems that contains ammonia.
• Do not use the product if damaged. Do not try to repair it in order not to cause other damages. If the instrument is damaged inform
directly the customer care service of Seitron S.p.A. (customer.c[email protected]).
• Strictly follow the instruction provided with refrigeration system where you are operating.
• Onlyusethetypeofbatteriesspeciedonthechapter“technicalfeatures”.
• Do not disassemble the scale structure to avoid measurement errors.
• Do not use chemical solvents to clean the scale to avoid damage to the rubber base.
• Iftheinstrumentisnotusedforalongtime,removethebatteriesfromboththescaleandtheremotecontrol.
• The batteries provided are NOT rechargeable; do not try to recharge them.

3.2 Typical Use
Refrigerant gas storage cylinder weight measurement.
Servicing:
The instrument must undergo an annual calibration procedure to be performed at a Seitron service center.

Theinstrumentisaccompaniedwiththetestingcerticate.
4.0 BATTERY INSERTION / REPLACEMENT
4.1 Remote control
Power supply with 5 1.5V size AAA batteries.
Access the battery compartment by unscrewing the screw indicated by the arrow and insert the batteries respecting the polarities.
4.2 Scale
Power supply with 5 1.5V size AA batteries.
Access the battery compartment by unscrewing the screw indicated by the arrow and insert the batteries respecting the polarities.

5.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
5.1 Typical use example diagram
The following diagram shows the typical use of the scale for weighing exhaust refrigerant gas from the cooling system under consideration:
* : The use of the smartphone app or remote control are mutually exclusive (they can be used alternatively to each other, but
never simultaneously).

The scale has two physical buttons located on the front of the scale:

The remote control keyboard has the following physical keys:

6.0 OPERATION
6.1 INSTRUMENT - REMOTE PAIRING
1. Take the scale out of the bag and pull out the remote control.
2. Place the scale on a solid and stable surface. Press the key “ “; the LED located on the front of the scale under the “ “ button
flashes red.
3. The scale emits a “beep”; the LED located on the front of the scale under the “ “buttonturnsoff,makingtheLEDlocatedonthe
front of the scale under the “ “ button flash red.
4. Pull out the remote control and press the “ ” button.
5. When “ ”appearsonthedisplayoftheremotecontrol,theLEDontheremotecontrolandtheLEDonthefrontofthescaleunder
the “ “ button will flash green.
6. Now the scale is paired with the remote.
7. Ifnecessary,pressthebutton“ ” on the remote in order to change the measurement unit as needed.
8. Press the button “ ” on the remote to perform the zero measure on the scale.
If communication between the scale and remote control is interrupted, the “ x” symbol will appear on
the remote control and the LED on the front of the scale under the “ “ button will flash red.
6.2 PAIRING INSTRUMENT - APP SEITRON BE COOL
1. Takethescaleoutofthebagandplaceitonasolid,stablesurface.Pressthe“ “ button; the LED on the front of the scale under the
““ button flashes red.
2. The scale emits a “beep”; the LED located on the front of the scale under the “ “buttonturnsoff,andtheLEDplacedunderthe
button “ “ blinks red.
3. Download the App mobile Seitron be cool from the Google Play Store or the App Store.
4. Start the App Seitron Be Cool.
5. OncetheAppisstarted,activatethefunction“Lookfornearbydevices”;whentheBECOOLB100scaleisdetected,selectit.
6. WhenaccessingthemainscreenoftheApp,theLEDlocatedonthefrontofthescaleunderthe“ “ button flashes green.
7. Now the scale is paired with the App
