EN Electric kettle
User'smanual
■ Prior to using this appliance, please read the user'smanual thoroughly, even in cases,
when one has already familiarised themselves with previous use of similar types of
appliances. Only use the appliance in the manner described in this user’smanual.
Keep this user'smanual in asafe place where it can be easily retrieved for future use.
In the event that you hand this appliance over to somebody else, make sure to also
include this user'smanual.
■ Carefully unpack the appliance and take care not to throw away any part of
the packaging before you find all its parts. We recommend saving the original
cardboard box, packaging material, purchase receipt and responsibility statement
of the vendor or warranty card for at least the duration of the legal liability
for unsatisfactory performance or quality. In the event of transportation, we
recommend that you pack the appliance in the original box from the manufacturer.

BEFORE FIRST USE
■ Remove all wrapping material from the electric kettle and its base stand.
■ Fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum water mark (MAX) inside the
kettle. Boil the water and empty the contents of the kettle. Repeat this process 2 to
3 times. To boil water, proceed according to the instructions in chapter Operation.
OPERATION
Attention:
The electric kettle is intended only for heating water. Never heat
any other liquids or substance in it.
■ Set the required power cord length and push it into the groove in the base stand.
Place the base stand on astable, even and clean surface.
■ Fill the kettle with the required amount of water. You may fill it through the spout
or through the opening after lifting the lid. To open the lid, press button A5. The
water level must reach at least the minimum mark (MIN) but must not exceed the
maximum mark (MAX) inside the kettle. After filling the kettle, properly close the lid.
Attention:
Never fill the kettle when it is placed on the base stand.
Turning on and stand-by mode
■ Place the kettle on the base stand and insert the power cord plug into a power
socket. It will beep, all the indicators on the display will flash and then the current
temperature and buttons B4 and B6 will be lit. In this way the kettle enters the
stand-by mode, meaning that it is ready for operation.
■ In the event that no action is performed within 5 minutes of the kettle being turned
on, the display will turn off and the kettle will automatically switch to the sleep
mode.
■ Wake the kettle from the sleep mode into the stand-by mode by pressing button B4.
Heating water
■ Press button B6 in the stand-by mode to start heating the water. The temperature
value 100 °C will quickly appear on the display and then the current water
temperature will be shown. The displayed temperature value increases as the water
is heated. Heating of water can be interrupted at any time by pressing button B6.
■ Pressing button B6 in the stand-by mode will quickly show the temperature value
100°C on the display and water will start being heated. Heating of water can be
interrupted at any time by pressing button B6.
Attention:
Never start the kettle empty without water. The incorrect use of
the kettle may negatively affect its working order and lifetime.
■ When the temperature of the water reaches 100 °C, the kettle will beep and
automatically switch to the stand-by mode.
■ Pour the boiled water into aprepared container, cup or mug. When carrying it, hold
the kettle upright, particularly when it is filled all the way up to the maximum mark.
■ If you wish to fill the kettle again and start heating immediately after pouring in
the water, wait approximately 30–60 seconds. When opening the lid, be especially
careful to avoid scalding yourself with boiling water or steam.
■ After you finish using it, disconnect the power cord from the power socket. Empty
the kettle and allow it to cool down.
Heating water to aselected temperature
■ Gradually press button B4 to select atemperature of 40, 80 or 90°C. Press button
B6 to start heating the water to the selected temperature. Water will start being
heated automatically if no other button is pressed within 5 seconds. The current
water temperature will be shown on the display, and increase as it is heated.
■ When the temperature of the water reaches the selected temperature, the kettle will
beep and automatically switch to the stand-by mode.
Heating water to aset temperature then maintaining temperature
■ Hold down button B4 until the text BOIL changes to WARM.
■ Gradually press button B4 to select atemperature of 40, 80 or 90°C. Press button B6
to start heating the water to the selected temperature.Water will start being heated
automatically if no other button is pressed within 5 seconds.
■ When the temperature of the water reaches the selected value, the kettle will beep
and automatically switch to the maintain temperature mode.
■ In this mode, the heating element automatically switches on and off to maintain the
selected temperature.The maintain temperature time is preset to 2 hours.When this
time elapses, the kettle will beep and automatically switch to the stand-by mode. If
you wish to end the maintain temperature mode sooner, press button B6 or lift the
kettle off the base .
Note:
When using the maintain temperature mode, consider whether
this function is really necessary. You will contribute to lowering
the impact of electrical appliances on the environment.
Turning the beep sound on and off
■ If you wish to turn off the beep sound of the kettle, simultaneously hold down
buttons B4 and B6.
■ If you wish to turn the beep sound of the kettle back on, simultaneously hold down
buttons B4 and B6.
Turning off
■ To turn off the kettle after use, press button B6.
■ When not using the kettle, empty it out and place it away from the base stand.
■ When not using the kettle for an extended period of time, we recommend
disconnecting the power cord from the power socket.
PROTECTION AGAINST BOILING WITHOUT WATER
If you accidentally turn on the kettle without water, the thermostat will, after reaching
a certain temperature, interrupt the electric circuit and the kettle will turn off. The
kettle can be used again after several minutes, once the heating bottom has cooled
down.
Attention:
Even though the kettle is equipped with protection against boiling
without water, do not turn it on when empty. The incorrect use of
the kettle may negatively affect its working order and lifetime.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention:
Prior to any cleaning or maintenance, always disconnect the base
stand from the power socket and allow the kettle to cool down.
Do not wash the kettle, its base stand or power cord under
running water and do not submerge them in water or another
liquid.
■ To clean the external parts of the kettle, use adry cloth or acloth dipped in aweak
solution of neutral kitchen detergent. Never use solvents, cleaning products with an
abrasive effect, etc. After washing, wipe the surface with aclean, lightly dampened
cloth and then wipe dry.
■ Wipe the internal parts of the kettle using asoft sponge or clean cloth dipped in
clean warm water. Do not use detergents or any other chemical agents on the
internal parts. After cleaning the kettle, rinse it out several times with clean water.
■ To clean the base stand, use only adry cloth.
Removing limescale deposits
■ During normal use, substances contained in water accumulate on the appliance to
form so-called limescale deposits. These may negatively affect the lifetime of the
kettle and ruin the taste and appearance of your beverage, so it is important to
regularly remove them based on how frequently the kettle is used.
