5. Basic monitoring
How many satellites in tracking?
Is there any
interference?
• Select the GNSS tab then Satellites and Signals on the Web
Interface
• In open sky, the AsteRx SB should track between 15 and 25
GPS and GLONASS satellites
• Satellites used in the position calculation are coloured green
• Select GNSS > Spectrum on
the Web Interface
• Click Show table and select
GPS L2-P(Y). This frequency
band can be vulnerable to
interference.
• The small GPS L2 bump at
1227.6MHz may be visible but
any other spikes or anomalous
activity in the spectrum may
indicate interference.

Quick Start Guide
To set up the AsteRx SB you will need:
Antenna Antenna cable
WiFi and USB capable device USB adapter (if device
is not USB capable)
Micro-USB cable
or

• Connect the micro-USB cable between the
front-panel connector of the AsteRx SB and
a PC or USB adapter
• If the AsteRx SB was turned on before
the last power outage, it will start up
automatically
• If the AsteRx SB does not
start up automatically,
press rmly on the
button

2. Connecting an antenna
• Connect one end of the antenna cable to the antenna and
the other end to the rear-panel ANT connector
• Make sure the antenna has a clear view of the sky
3. Is the WiFi turned on?
• Connect the WiFi antenna to the
front-panel connector
• The WiFi modem is turned on by
default
• When WiFi is on, the front-panel
LED will be lit

• Find the AsteRx SB WiFi signal
on your device and click:
Connect
• With the mictro USB cable
connected between the
AsteRx SB and your PC,
wait for the USB drivers
to fully install
• When connected, open a web
browser using the IP address:
192.168.20.1
• When the drivers have
installed, open a web
browser with the IP address:
192.168.3.1
