This lighted mirror has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electri-
cian. Never use with an extension cord unless plug can be fully
inserted. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

•Use with any 120V 60 Hz AC electrical outlet (ordinary house-
hold current). Do not use with any other electrical outlet.
There is an electric outlet in base. Do not plug any appliance

•Turn mirror switch to OFF position and unplug cord before
replacing light bulbs.
•Polarized plug fits into a polarized outlet one way only. Do not
force.
•Never use an extension cord unless the polarized plug can be
fully inserted.
•Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
•Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
•Do not place or store mirror where it can fall or be pulled into
a tub or sink.
•Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid. If mirror
falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the
water.
•Do not use while bathing or in the shower.
•Do not leave unattended when plugged in.
•Unplug when not in use or before cleaning.

faces where openings may be blocked.

The Dual 1x/5x Mirror with Variable Lighting has both 5X and 1X
magnification, four light settings, and an extra outlet on the base.
As a safety feature, it also has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other), which fits into a polarized outlet one way
only. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
•Plug cord into any standard 120V outlet.
•Turn on mirror lights by twisting the dial on mirror base.
•After use, turn dial to the OFF position.
Special Features
•This lighted mirror uses incandescent light bulbs with a special
coating to reproduce shadow-free lighting for four different set-
tings: Evening, Home, Office and Day.
•An electrical outlet in the mirror base may be used to power
a blow dryer, curling iron or other small appliance under 1500
watts. Never plug in an appliance with a power rating over
1500 watts.
INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: TURN OFF POWER
AND UNPLUG MIRROR.
ALLOW TO COOL AT LEAST THREE MINUTES BEFORE
REPLACING BULB.
•Replacement bulbs (not included) should never exceed 20
watts.
•Unscrew the two screws from the top and bottom of the
rotating mirror.
1. Carefully lift off the top half of the housing from the bottom
half affixed to the stand.
2. Unscrew the old bulb and replace with new bulb (Figure 1).

3. Carefully replace the housing by locating and aligning the
screw holes on the top and bottom halves. If the holes don’t
line up, turn top half of mirror 180°.
4. Insert screw into screw holes and tighten.
Maintenance
The Dual 1x/5x Mirror with Variable Lighting is virtually mainte-
nance-free — no lubrication is needed.
•If cleaning is necessary, disconnect appliance from the power
source and wipe exterior clean with a damp cloth.
•Clean mirror surfaces with a glass cleaner.
•To protect against electrical hazards, do not turn the mirror on
until you are certain it is completely dry.
•If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug and allow to cool.
Return mirror to an authorized service center for repair.
To Replace Bulbs

BE SURE DIRECT SUNLIGHT
DOES NOT STRIKE MAGNIFYING
SIDE OF MIRROR WHEN
STORED OR LEFT UNATTENDED;
REFLECTED SUNLIGHT MAY
CAUSE A FIRE.
•Disconnect mirror from electrical outlet.
•Allow to cool to room temperature before storing.
•Place in cool, dry area out of children’s reach.
•Coil cord loosely near mirror. Do not jerk or strain cord at plug
connections, or wrap cord around mirror for storage.

What Is Covered
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, with the exceptions stated below.
How Long Coverage Lasts
This warranty runs for 90 days from the date of original purchase.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or use other than as intended and described in the
product instruction manual, or loss or damage to batteries or removable parts.
What The Sharper Image Will Do
The Sharper Image will repair any defects in materials or workmanship. In the event repair is not possible,
The Sharper Image will either replace this product with one of similar features and price, or refund the full
purchase price of the product, whichever you prefer.
