Quickstart Card HTNC4410M
What’s inside:
- Sharx Security HTNC4410M PoE+ camera with 10x zoom
- Sunshade with plastic washer + phillips screw for attaching to camera
- Drilling template and 3 mounting screws, 3 plastic anchors (dowels)
- Protective cover for network connector, already attached to connector
- Connectors for wired alarm and audio in/out (for optional accessories)
Camera power up:
Temporarily untwist the cover piece from the network connector, then
connect a Cat5e network cable between the camera’s network jack and
the POE out port of your 24W PoE+ power supply, for example the
PSW4824-POE from L-com.com (Note: reattach cover piece for nal install)
Connect a second cable from the power supply LAN port to NVR or router.
(If you prefer, you can also use a 12 V DC / 2 amp (24 watt) power supply.)
Camera initial connection with a Sharx Security NVR:
After a few minutes the NVR nds and displays the camera automatically.
Camera initial connection with a PC:
Download SmartManager from SharxSecurity.com and run it on your PC.
It should nd all Sharx HTNC cameras even if the default IP is inaccessible.
Right click on the camera and choose “Assign IP”, then type an IP address
that’s valid on your network (same rst 3 sets of numbers as your router).
You can then check the box for DHCP if you prefer automatic IP selection.
Camera initial connection with a Mac:
Connect the cable from the PoE power supply LAN port to your Mac. Turn
Wi o, then go to network preferences and set the Mac’s ethernet IP
temporarily to 192.168.30.100. Then type http://192.168.30.220 into the
browser’s address bar and log in with username admin password admin.
Now go to the camera’s network menu and enter the desired IP, or select
DHCP for an automatically assigned IP. When done, connect the camera
to your router and set the Mac’s ethernet back to DHCP and Wi back on.
Browser and software or app choice:
Internet Explorer (IE) supports the full H.264 image quality and provides
access to all menus including zoom and focus. Other browsers support
MJPEG at low clarity and skip some menus. To start IE on Windows 10,
right-click on the windows icon at the bottom left, select “Run”and type
iexplore into the search box. If you don’t like IE or have a Mac without
Bootcamp or Parallels, most PC, Mac, iOS, Android apps support the
camera as an ONVIF device and can display the full H.264 image quality
including zoom control. The default HTTP port is 80 and RTSP port is 554.
