WIFI MODULE
MODULE HARNESS
INSTRUCTION SHEET
1. Inspect package contents and ensure all components are
accounted for; check for unique MAC address and velcro pad on
WIFI module. Record the MAC address if planning to use a virtual
assistant.
2. Remove outer glass; see installation manual for detailed
instructions.
3. Remove louvers by lifting up and out; start with the
sides.
4. WIFI module will mount on the right side of replace,
near the valve. Remove mating velcro pad attached to WIFI
module; peel o lm and stick to cabinet as shown in Fig.2
5. Plug harness into WIFI module and secure on velcro pad
with MAC address facing outward (Fig.2)

6. Remove orange velcro wire-ties securing the main
replace wiring harness; run the module harness along side
replace harness and re secure velcro ties (Fig.3).
7. Plug module harness into IFC control board in location
shown; ensure all wires are secured and safely cleared of
cooling fans (Fig.4).
8. Initialize the WIFI module using the following procedure:

WIFI Initialization
NOTE
Your replace will only connect to a 2.4ghz network; not
5ghz.
NOTE
Your replace will only operate when connected to your
local WIFI network. The app will NOT operate while
connected to any other network.
8C. Open the App.
8D. Tap the menu
button on the top
left of the screen.
8E. Press “Congure

8A. Ensure you are connected to your local 2.4ghz network
before proceeding. Navigate to the WIFI settings on your
mobile device to check which network you are signed into.
8B. Download the Proame Connect app from either the
Android Play Store or the Apple App Store.
8F. Press “Next”
to continue
NOTE
Your replace requires the remote control to have
batteries for the WIFI system to work. This is because the
remote acts as a thermostat for the replace.

8G. Enter WIFI
password; press
“Next”to continue.
8H. Name your
replace. i.e. “Living
Room” “Kitchen”
“Upstairs” etc..; press
“Next”to continue.
8I. (OPTIONAL) Enter
pairing code for your virtual
assistant such as “Google
Home” or “Amazon Alexa”.
See “Pairing a Virtual
Assistant” section of this
manual for further detail.
You can also decide to
pair at a later date.
Press “Next” to continue.
8J. Tap the menu button on
the top left of the screen.
8K. Press “Manage Devices”.

Temperature
sets the temperature
set point at which the
replace turns OFF. This
function is only activated
when using T-STAT or
Smart mode.
Flame Height
sets height of ame.
Fan
this function not used.
Split Flow
this function not used.
Lamp
allows you to turn ON/
OFF top accent light and
control the brightness
level.
Controls
Auxiliary output controls
the ON/OFF function of the
LED bed. *LED models only
WIFI Controls
The app works in a similar way to the physical remote
described in the Urbana User’s Manual.
O - Fireplace to remain OFF.
Man - (Manual) This will turn the replace ON without any
thermostatic controls (basic ON function).
T-Stat - The replace remote operates as a room
thermostat. Set the remote to a desired temperature and
this function will control the operation; be aware of the
location of the remote within your room. This function only
manages ON/OFF operation at the selected ame height.
Smart - This function operates similar to T-Stat
except with added ame modulation.

replace via the App.
Add an Additional Mobile Device
Theme Customization
An additional mobile device can be added to
the network to control the replace; follow the
same procedure using the added device.
Your “Proame Connect” app can be customized to your
preference. Toggle settings in the app menu.

Pairing a Virtual Assistant
The “Proame Connect” will work with Amazon Alexa or Google Home. No other virtual assistants work at this time. Follow the
steps below to get set up:

1. Register your WIFI module to Proame Connect; create an account at https://registration.proameconnect.com/
2. Input the MAC address listed on your WIFI module and a TAG (if desired).
3. Press “Register device to current user” and a pairing key will be displayed.

Amazon Alexa
Follow the steps below to connect your replace to Amazon Alexa:
1. Download and open Amazon Alexa App.
2. Tap “Skills & Games”.
3. Tap “Search” Icon

4. Search for voice commands “Proame Connect”.
5. Tap “Enable To Use”.
6. Tap “Settings”.

6. Tap “Link Account”.
7. Connect to the same account used for https://registration.proameconnect.com/
The following screen will apprear upon success:
Now you can use voice commands, see “Voice Commands” section of this manual for command list.

Google Home
Follow the steps below to connect your replace to Google Home:
1. Download and open Google Home App.
2. Tap “User” Icon.
3. Tap “Settings”.

5. Tap “Explore”.
6. Search for voice commands “Proame Connect”.

7. Press “Link”.
8. Connect to the same account used for https://registration.proameconnect.com/
Now you can use voice commands, see “Voice Commands” section of this manual for command list.
Voice Commands
In addition to the Proame Connect app, your replace can be remotely controlled by Amazon Alexa or Google Home
virtual assisntants. Both devices can set and read the status of all available controls of your replace. Use the following
command sequence to achieve your desire:

Example 1: “Alexa, use Proame Connect and set the <replace name> to ON.
Example 2: OK Google, use Proame Connect to set the <replace name> temperature to 70 degrees.
Example 3: “OK Google, use Proame Connect and turn on the replace.
Example 4: Alexa, use Proame Connect to set the replace ame to 5
SWITCH ON is synonymous with TURN ON
SWITCH OFF is synonymous with TURN OFF
Troubleshooting
LEDs state the WIFI module’s status as described below:
NOTE: AP mode means the module is ready to be set-up
NOTE: Push module botton to reset
