Infrastructure requirements

2. Details about the APN configuration of the Cellular
To prepare the iCOMOX for Internet connection with your local cellular provider you must first configure the
provider APN in the iCOMOX. In the following few steps, we will explain the process of preparing your iCOMOX and
the configuration details in the iCOMOX.
Insert the SIM card into the iCOMOX
into the left position (exactly as
shown in the image below).
Move the power switch to the left
(away from the USB port) to turn
the device on.

1. PoE (power over ethernet) port connection to
the organization IT network
2. Allow in the organization firewall connection to
xxx.xxx.xxx on TCP port xxxxx

Connect the iCOMOX
to the PC

On the iCOMOX (switch)
To connect with a PC to the iCOMOX over USB
you must install an FTDI driver. The driver can be
downloaded from the following link:
https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/
uploads/2021/08/CDM212364_Setup.zip
Once the monitor is installed and open, please
verify that the iCOMOX is identified with its USB port.
Press the connect button (number 2 in the image).
*** After successful connection, the monitor
connection LED will turn green.
Once the cellular provider
APN configuration
process is
done, your iCOMOX is ready
for installation and can
be
connected to 220V power.
(220V to USB Adapter not included)
Once completed, perform Program EEPROM
operation and reset the iCOMOX to allow the
configuration changes to take effect.
Upon successful connection, you can see details
like your provider’s name and IP address of
your device.Now your iCOMOX is ready to be
mounted on your asset.
Press the configuration button and select your
mobile operator. When configuring your iCOMOX,
the settings should be adjusted according to the
details you got from your cellular provider.

Step 01 - POE
Unit connection:
Connect the iCOMOX cable to
the
POE network (one side to the
network and the other side to
the PoE).
If you do not have an Internet point
that carries electricity (PoE), connect
one cable to the Internet and one
cable to electricity.
(220V to USB Adapter not included)
In order not to connect to the organization's
network, you can connect an iCOMOX to
a POE switch and connect it to a cellular
router activated by a SIM card (in order not
to connect to the organization's network).

Follow these instructions for the installation of iCOMOX on assets. Mounting position on motors: mount the sensor
between the drive-end and non-drive-end keeping the bearings close to the center. Note: The sensor mount
cannot be removed after

Epoxy glue Cleaner agent/
degreasing agents
Remove debris and oils from the mounting
plate with a degreasing agent
Remove paint from the mounting surface
with sandpaper. Repeat step 1

Cut epoxy glue from the tube between approx.
4 to 5 cm. Twist and knead until it has a uniform
and homogeneous color according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
Place the “asset mounting plate” in the center
of the epoxy glue. Press the mounting plate
against the epoxy. Make sure that the mounting
plate has been pressed deep enough. Allow it to
dry before performing the next step. (Follow the
epoxy instructions)
Mounting the plate on the iCOMOX: TM Screw the iCOMOX mounting kit with two screws i (4 DIN 965 FH
SCREW PH M4X6) on to the right place on the iCOMOX.
Apply and fill epoxy to the installation surface
between motor fins. The epoxy should be
approximately 1.25 to 1.5 in (3 to 4 cm) wide.
Fasten the iCOMOX mounting plate to the
asset mounting plate using two head screws.
