a.Readandfollowthedirectionssuppliedwiththeproduct(polishes,waxes,clean-
ers,etc.)
b.Applyasmallamountoftheproductdirectlytothepolishingpad.
c.Graspthepolisherrmlywithbothhands-onehandonauxiliaryhandleandone
onthemotorhousing.
d.PositionthepolisherwiththepolishingpadagainsttheworksurfaceandStartthe
polisher.NEVERrunorstopthetoolwhenitisnotincontactwiththeworksurface.
e.Movethepolisherbackandforthinasweepingmotion,over-lappingeachprevi-
ous pass.

beforeinstallingandremovingaccessories,beforeadjustingormakingrepairs.An

a.Engagetheatsofthespindlewiththesuppliedspindlewrench.
b.Whileholdingthespindlewiththewrench,useyourotherhandtorotatethepad
counterclockwisetoremove.
c.Toinstallthepad,reversetheaboveprocedure.

dry.Avoidusingyourpolisheronadirtysurface,itmaycause
damage,suchasscratchesorswirls,tothepaintorgelcoat.
Althoughyoumayusewax,Shurholdrecommendsthata
polish,suchasShurhold’sYachtBriteProPolish,beusedforthe
mostsignicantimprovementinthesurface’sappearance.Pro
Polishisapaintandberglass/gelcoatcleaner,sealantand
polishwithUVinhibitorsthatproducesanultrahighglossn-
ishinoneeasystep.Formulatedwithcosmeticgradeingredi-
ents,itcontainsnollersortalc,protectingyournishagainst
sun,salt,acidrainandotherharshenvironmentalelements.
Besuretouseaseparatepadforeachcompound.Avoidusing
differentcompoundsonthesamepad.Aplasticbaggieisa
goodstoragesourceforpadstobeusedagain.
Besuretoworkinanenvironmentwithgoodlighting,suchas
uorescentorhalogen.Directsunlightshouldbeavoided.
Alwaysremovejewelryandotherclothingorobjectswhich
mayscratchthesurfaceasyoupolish.

centeroftheQuickChangePad

ApplyProPolishtotheappropri-

ApplyProPolishevenlyonthe
surfacetobepolished.Dabbing
overtheentiresurfaceisideal,
too much compound in one area
willcauseittoingoffthepad.

BesurePolisherisoff.Turnadjustingwheeltoaspeedof1or2.Presspadagainst
surfacetobepolished,andswitchPolisheron.Oncethepolishhasabsorbedintothe
pad,thepolishercanbeusedatahigherspeedsuchas3or4.
STEP 5
Toworkthepolishintothesurface,increasethePolisher’sspeedto3or4.Withpad
at,applyrmpressure,andslowlymovethepadinthepatternshownbelow.Over-
lapeachpasshalfway,whilepolishingupanddown,thenlefttoright.
STEP 6
Onceyou’vepolishedenoughthatonlyathinlayerofpolishremains,youmaystop.
Checktoseeyou’vecoveredalltheareasnecessary.Theremainderofthepolishcan
beremovedwithamicrobertowel.
