General information
1. General information
1.1 Introduction
The TR80 semi-mounted rear application, hereinafter, will simply be called
"MACHINE" or “HARVESTER”; while the drive unit to which it is coupled with
will be called “TRACTOR” or “DRIVE UNIT”.
1.2 Purpose of the manual
This document contains all the necessary information about the accessory to
which it refers.
CAUTION
Reading and understanding this document is not a sufficient condition for

2. Safety
DANGER
Refer to the machine’s User and Maintenance Manual for all safety warnings
regarding maintenance, adjustment and repair.
DANGER
The movement of the machine trailed by the tractor is always prohibited on
unauthorized roads or public spaces.
The circulation of the harvester is allowed only for operational movements
in private properties, not admitted to public circulation. Any other use/use
on the road or in public places is forbidden and punishable according to the
terms defined by the Highway Code of the Country.
SICMA S.r.l. declines all responsibility in case of unaware use of the machine
and its accessories on public roads or places.
2.1 Residual risks
In addition to the residual risks indicated in the machine's User and
Maintenance Manual, it is necessary to bear in mind that the opening and
closing of the reverse umbrella requires a specific operating area within which
no persons, animals and/or things must be present.
DANGER
RISK OF IMPACT AND INJURY
During the operation of the machine, in particular for the operations of
opening and closing of the reverse umbrella, there must be no persons,
animals and/or things within the range of action of the machine.
Always observe the minimum safety distances from the machine when it is
operating.
2.2 Safety devices
The safety devices with which the machine is equipped are listed in the relative
User and Maintenance Manual; installation of the optional reverse umbrella
does not require additional safety devices.

Description and technical information
3. Description and technical
information
3.1 Description
The optional reverse umbrella acts as an interceptor and conveyor of fruit
falling from the tree as a result of shaking of the perennial woody organs.
The reverse umbrella is connected to the machine's support arm by means of
a quick-connect system that allows it to be unhooked and re-hooked in few
minutes.
The manufacturer provides two different versions of the reverse umbrella:
-Standard
-Mechanical tilting (4 front rods mechanically tilting)
Each version can have a diameter of 5, 6 or 7 meters. Any other request must
be specifically and previously discussed with the Manufacturer.
The reverse umbrella can be combined with 1/2 or 1 meter extensions (for
each rod) that can allow the diameter to be extended by 1 or 2 meters from
the initial size.
The maximum diameter of the umbrella may not, however, exceed 7 meters
under any circumstances, even with the aid of extensions.

User and maintenance manual - REVERSE UMBRELLA - TR80
Rev. 0 - 05/2021
The following diagram shows the TR80 harvester coupled to the tractor, in
working position with standard umbrella.
In the mechanical tilting version, the frontal rods the umbrella (two on each
side), open/close at a height of about 80 cm from the ground. Once the
opening of the tarpaulin has been completed, the rods can be lifted back to
their standard shape.
The use of the tilting solution is useful to facilitate the opening of the umbrella
on trees with low branches and expanded tree canopy that could hinder the
opening of the standard interception tarpaulin.

4. Transportation, assembly and
disassembly
4.1 Transport of the umbrella
The reverse umbrella is transported on the road separate from TR80 harvester.
A forklift is sufficient for loading, unloading and transporting the reverse
umbrella into the work area.
Once the machine has been brought into the working area, it is necessary
to proceed with the coupling of the reverse umbrella as described in the
paragraph “4.2 Umbrella assembly” pag. 12.
DANGER
Moving the machine equipped with the reverse umbrella is only permitted
when operating in the field.
ATTENTION
Check that no part of the reverse umbrella has been damaged during
transport.
4.2 Umbrella assembly
Proceed as follows to mount and connect the reverse umbrella on the machine:
ATTENTION
The procedures described must be performed by trained technicians; operate
on level ground/structure.
A) Bring the reverse umbrella near the machine hitched and connected to
the tractor.
B) Place the umbrella with the back aligned with the back of the machine.
C) Start the machine and act on the remote control commands to fully
retract the telescopic arm.
D) Make sure that the machine is in a safe and large place to be able to
proceed safely.
E) Ensure that the protective frame/net is raised to allow the vibrating head
entry.
12

Transportation, assembly and disassembly
DANGER
Before moving the machine, make sure that there are no people and/or
animals near the machine.
F) Advance slowly until the umbrella case can be hooked into the quick-
release device (1).
G) Once the case has been hooked, to lock it definitively insert the special
red pin with handle (2) which is locked to the frame by screwing the
special bolt (3) which prevents it from coming out.

H) Hook the quick couplings (4) of the umbrella as shown in the figure.
I) Lower the hinged protective frame (5) from above.
J) Insert the two fixing screws (6) of the metal protection frame (on both
sides) as shown in the figure.

4.3 Umbrella disassembly
To disconnect the reverse umbrella from the machine, proceed as follows.
CAUTION
The procedures described must be performed by trained technicians; operate
on level ground/structure.
A) Make sure that the machine and the tractor to which it is connected are
in a safe place and safely switched off.
B) Make sure the umbrella collecting case is resting flat on the ground and
not under tension.
C) Remove two fixing screws (6) of the metal protection frame (on both
sides).
D) Lift the hinged protective frame (5) from above.

G) After removing the blocking pin, act on the hydraulic arm and move it
backwards slowly until the umbrella case can be released, as shown in
the figure (1). Once separated, the machine can retract to complete the
release.
