Intended use
• DRIVE axxent DK is a concealed chain drive that may only be used for the motorised tilting and the
closing of turn/tilt windows from their tilted position.
Commissioning
• DRIVE axxent DK is an incomplete machine that must not be commissioned until it has been incorpo-
rated in a power-operated window as a complete machine and has been approved in accordance
with the manufacturer's specifications.
Application and accessories
• DRIVE axxent DK is only to be used if it is in a technically sound condition, and no modifications may
be made to the unit and/or its components.
• Use DRIVE axxent DK only with original accessories from SIEGENIA.
• DRIVE axxent DK is suitable only for installation in dry rooms (protection class IP20) and permissible
operating temperatures of -20°C to +40°C.
• In the event of a fault, have DRIVE axxent DK checked and repaired by experienced specialists only.
• The system is designed only for occasional manual operation.
• Any other use is considered as improper use.
Improper use
• DRIVE axxent DK may not be used as a drive of smoke and heat heat control systems in windows.
• DRIVE axxent DK may not be used in windows that are intended as emergency exits.
• Do not use levers with lock-in position, but use only removable handle levers of theSi-line with Si-line
rose.

Safety Notices
Risk of injury from falling out of open windows
›Use only stable stepladders.
›Secure yourself from falling out of the window.
›Do not hold onto open window sashes.
Parts of the body may get caught, resulting in injury
›When closing windows or portal doors, never place your hand in
the opening between the sash and the frame.
Placing objects between the sash and the frame may re-
sult in injury or property damage
›Do not place objects in the opening between the sash and the fra-
me.
Additional load on the sashes may result in
›injury or property damage
›Do not subject the sashes to additional loads.
Risk of injury from wind
›Do not allow open sashes to be blown around by the wind.
›Make sure to close and lock windows if it is windy or if there is a
draught.
Risk of injury in case of window malfunctioning!
›Do not continue to use the window if it is not working properly.
›Secure the window and have it repaired by a qualified technician
as soon as possible.

Commissioning
• The red LED of the DRIVE axxent DK flashes when the supply voltage is switched on.
• A referencing cycle must now be performed.
Risk of injury during referencing cycle!
The safety functions are disabled!
›Do not operate the DRIVE axxent DK if you do not have a clear view of the window!
›Ensure that other persons stay clear of the window.
Perform reference run
The reference run takes approx. 2 to 30 seconds, depending on the drive's starting position.

Teaching the remote control
Buttons 1 to 5 windows can be assigned to one window fitted with DRIVE axxent DK.
1. Press buttons 1, 2, 3 and 5 within a period of 3 seconds.
2. LED lights green.

Deleting windows from remote control
Safety functions
• If the maximum permissible force of 150 N is exceeded when closing, e.g. due to wind load, the
drive will return to its starting position.
• The drive will attempt to close the window again after 60, with the LED flashing red/green. If the
second attempt fails, the window will remain open with the LED flashing red.
• Check window for obstructions and remove them, if required. Press button "Close" again.

The remote control is now ready for a new teach-in procedure.

Manual operation of open window
Be sure to always observe this operating sequence!
1. Insert the handle into the rose, the lever must be in vertical position.
2. Close window manually by pushing it into closed position.
3. Move the window handle lever into locked position, ensuring that the lever points vertically
downward.
4. Move the window handle lever into turn position.
• When the window is closed again and locked, the drive must be connected. Press button "Close".
The drive is then reconnected. All functions are then available again.
• If the drive is not reconnected, then the drive cannot be controlled. When pressing button "Open"
for 3 seconds, the drive will open and then return to its starting position.
• Remove handle and close the rose after manual operation.

Manual operation of the closed window
Be sure to always observe this operating sequence!
1. Insert the handle into the rose, the lever must be in a 45°-position.
2. Shift window handle lever fully into locked position, ensuring that the lever points vertically
downward.
3. This is necessary because the drive must first be disconnected from the fitting.
4. Only then can the window be turned open by a 90°-turn of the handle and opening of the
window.
5. Turn the handle lever back into the closed position after closing the window.
• When the window is closed again and locked, the drive must be connected. Press button "Close".
The drive is then reconnected. All functions are then available again.
• If the drive is not reconnected, then the drive cannot be controlled. When pressing button "Open"
for 3 seconds, the drive will open and then return to its starting position.
• Remove handle and close the rose after manual operation.

Maintenance
The DRIVE axxent DK and any fittings installed in the window must be serviced and checked at least
once per year by a qualified professional.

Liability
Intended use
Any use or application of this product that is not in accordance with its intended purpose, or any
adaptation of or modification to the product and its associated components for which our express
consent has not been obtained, are strictly prohibited. We are not liable for any damage to material
or persons if this stipulation is not observed.
Product liability
Provided that they are correctly installed and handled, our products are subject to warranty for 1
year after receipt of goods by companies (according to our general terms and conditions), or as
otherwise agreed, and for 2 years for end consumers according to statutory law. As part of our
ongoing improvements, we reserve the right to replace individual components or entire products.
Consequential losses resulting from a failing in the unit are excluded from the warranty within the
limits of the law. The warranty shall become void if modifications that are unauthorized by us or have
not been described in this documentation are made to the product and/or individual components,
or if the product and/or individual components is/are dismantled or partly dismantled.
Exclusion of liability
The product and its components are subject to stringent quality controls. As a result, they function
reliably and safely when used correctly. Our liability for consequential losses and/or claims for da-
mages is excluded, except in the case of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where we are
responsible for injury to life, limb or health. Strict liability under the German Product Liability Act (Pro-
dukthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected. Liability for the culpable violation of significant contractual
obligations also remains unaffected; liability in this case is limited to losses that are specific to the
contract and that could have been foreseen. The above regulations do not imply a change in the
burden of proof to the detriment of the consumer.
