This telephone system complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. On the bottom of the base station is a label that contains, among other
information,theFCCRegistration Number,RingerEquivalencenumber(REN)and the UniversalServiceOrderCode(USOC),whichis RJ-11C,
forthis equipment. You must,upon request,providethisinformation toyourtelephone company.
TheREN isuseful in determining the quantity of devices you may connect to yourtelephone line and still have all ofthose devicesring when
yourtelephone number is called. In most,but not all areas,the sumofthe RENs of alldevices connected to onelineshould not exceedfive
(5.0). To be certain of the numberof devices you may connectto yourline, as determined by the REN,you should contact yourlocaltelephone
companytodetermine the maximum RENforyourcalling area.
Ifyourtelephoneequipmentcausesharmto the telephone network,thetelephone company may ask youto disconnectthe systemfromthe
lineuntil theproblemhas beencorrected ortheymaydiscontinue yourservicetemporarily. Ifpossible,theywill notify youinadvance. Butif
advancenoticeisn’t practical,you will be notifiedas soon aspossible. You willbe informedof yourright to file a complaintwith FCC.
Yourtelephone companymay makechangesinitsfacilities,equipment,operations,orproceduresthatcouldaffectthe properfunctioningof
yourtelephone system. If they do,you will be notifiedin advanceto giveyou an opportunity to maintain uninterruptedtelephone service. If
youexperience trouble with thistelephone system,disconnectit fromthe networkuntil theproblemhas beencorrected oruntil youaresure
thattheequipment is not malfunctioning.
Thistelephone systemmay not be usedoncoinserviceprovidedby the telephonecompany. Connection toparty lines issubjecttostate
tariffs. Privacyofcommunicationsmaynotbeensuredwhenusingthis phone.
Thistelephone system equipment hasbeentestedand found to complywith the limits forClass B digital device,pursuantto Part 15of the FCC
Rules.Operationis subject to the followingtwoconditions: (1)Thisdevice may not cause harmful interference,and (2)Thisdevicemust accept
any interference received,including interference that may cause undesired operation. These limits are designed toprovide reasonable
protection againstharmful interferencein aresidentialinstallation. Somecordless telephonesoperate at frequenciesthat may cause
interference to nearbyTV’s andVCR’s; tominimizeorprevent suchinterference,thesystem baseshouldnot be placed nearoron top ofaTVor
VCR;and,if interferenceisexperienced,moving thebasefartherawayfrom theTVorVCR willoftenreduce oreliminate the interference.
However,thereisno guaranteethatinterference will not occurinaparticularinstallation. If this telephonesystemdoescauseharmful
interference to radio ortelevisionreception, which canbe determined by turning the system off and on,the user isencouraged to try to
correct the interferencebyoneormore of the followingmeasures:
1.Increase the separation between thebasestation andreceiver.
2.Connect thebasestation into an outletona circuit differentfromthatto which the receiverisconnected.
3.Consult the dealer or an experienced radioTV technician forhelp.
NOTICETOHEARINGAIDWEARERS:Thisphonesystem is compatible with inductivelycoupledhearingaids.
POWER OUTAGE: Inthe eventof a power outage, yourcordlesstelephone willnotoperate.Thecordlesstelephone requires electricity for
operation. You shouldhave atelephone thatdoesnot require electricity available foruse duringpoweroutages.
