WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated. Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals
in your plug, please proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and
must be connected to the terminal marked
[N] or coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked
[L] or coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or
the blue wire be connected to the [EARTH]
terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be fitted with a fuse of the
same rating already fitted and conforming to
BS 1362 and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician who
will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug.
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use
an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS
1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician
who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect
it from the mains – and then cut it o of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a
safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug
or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a
danger of an electric shock.

BEFORE FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Locate your appliance in accordance with the safety instructions.
3. Plug the appliance into the mains supply.
4. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
5. Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE CONTROLS:
1. Connect the power adaptor to an active mains socket. There will be a sound
prompt and the unit’s LCD screen and indicators will come on to indicate the
unit has been turned on.
2. Press the On/O button once the unit is plugged into the mains to switch
the dehumidifier on. The On/O button and the dehumidifier indicator will
illuminate blue, the ioniser indicator will illuminate green, the current humidity
will be displayed on the unit’s LCD screen and a gentle breeze will begin to emit
from the air outlet to show the dehumidifier is in operation.
3. Press the On/O button again while the unit is in operation to put it on Standby.
All of the unit’s indicator lights will go out and the symbols ‘- -‘ will appear on
the unit’s LCD screen to show the unit is on standby.
NOTE: When the unit is turned o, the fan will continue to work for a few seconds
before turning itself o. DO NOT unplug the appliance from the mains until the fan
has fully stopped.
SETTING THE TIMER
1. The unit is equipped with a 24-hour timer, which can be set both when the unit
is in operation and when it is on standby mode.
NOTE: If the timer is set while the unit is in operation, the unit will turn o once the
selected length of time expires; if it is set while the unit is on standby mode, the unit
will turn on once the selected length of time has elapsed. For instance, if a period of
1 hour has been selected and the unit is turned on, it will automatically shut itself o
after 1 hour’s operation; if this length of time has been selected while the unit is on
standby, the dehumidifier will turn itself on after 1 hour has elapsed.

2. Press the ‘Timer’ button on the unit’s control panel to activate the timer
function. The numbers ‘00’ will appear on the unit’s LCD screen to indicate this
function has been selected.
3. Once this function is in operation, repeatedly press the Timer button again
to select the desired duration for the timer, between 1 and 24 hours. The
corresponding number will appear on the unit’s LCD screen to indicate each
length of time has been selected.
NOTE: The timer length will increase by increments of 1.
NOTE: The timer operates in ascending order only. To set a length of time shorter
than the one currently selected, repeatedly press the Timer button until the timer
completes a full cycle, then start the process over from the beginning. Alternatively,
unplug the unit from the mains or press the Power button to reset it, then press the
Timer button again to re-start the process.
NOTE: Press the Timer key for 5 seconds to view the current room temperature.
FULL WATER TANK
When the tank is full, the corresponding symbol on the unit’s control panel will
illuminate, and the unit will switch off automatically. When this happens, turn off the
dehumidifier and empty the water tank.
To empty the water tank:
1. Pull out the rubber plug on the water displacement hole at the back of the unit.
2. Attach one end of the included rubber hose to the exposed hole.
3. Empty the water through the hole.
4. Put the rubber plug back into position, making sure it is secure.
5. Turn the unit back on.
6. The unit should now operate normally.

CLEANING THE FILTER
NOTE: Make sure the water tank is completely empty of water and the unit is turned
o before attempting to clean the filter.
1. The filter is located at the rear of the unit. To remove it, place your fingers inside
the small groove underneath the filter and pull it towards you until it unclips
from the main body of the unit.
2. Once the filter has been removed, rinse it under water until clean, then dab it
with a dry cloth to dry. Allow the filter to dry thoroughly before replacing.
3. When the filter is fully dry, place it back into the body of the unit. To do this,
align the two tabs on the filter cover with the two corresponding slots on the
body of the unit and push the filter upwards, then inwards, until it clicks into
place.
CAUTION! DO NOT turn the unit on or attempt to operate it when the filter is not in
place.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply
and has cooled down completely.
2. Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
3. Do not immerse the appliance in any liquid.
4. To clean the exterior, a slightly damp, lint-free cloth may be used.
STORING THE DEHUMIDIFIER
1. Turn o the appliance and unplug it from the mains before storing.
2. Ensure that the appliance has been drained.
NOTE: To prevent mildew from building up inside the appliance, allow the unit to
stand and dry.
3. Clean the appliance as detailed above.
4. When not in use, store the dehumidifier in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of
children.

Troubleshooting
