Software Installation
Important: Make sure the driver is installed before
connecting the MobileCam/Light Pro to the USB port.
If prompted for Windows Installation CD during
installation,pleaseinsertitandfollowtheon-screen
instructions.

Windows Driver Installation
1. Boot up to Windows and insert the driver CD.
2. Autorun will start installation. If Autorun does
not start, click Start, Run. Type in
D:\Autorun.exe, then click OK. (Change D: to
match your CD-ROM drive letter)
3. In the MobileCam Pro window, click the up
arrow to start driver installation, then follow
the on-screen instructions.
For Windows 98SE/ME:
Continue to step #4.
For Windows 2000:
At the Digital Signature Not Found window,
click Yes two times, then click Finish. Our driver
has been thoroughly tested in Windows for stability.
For Windows XP:
At the Software Installation window, click
ContinueAnyway, then click Finish. Our driver
has been thoroughly tested in Windows for stability.
4. Restart Windows to complete driver
installation.

Ulead Photo Explorer 7.0 SE Platinum
Ulead Photo Explorer combines easy to use tools for
acquiring, viewing, organizing, adjusting, and
sharing digital images. For more detail about Ulead
PhotoExplorer,pleaserefertothepdfmanuallocated
inCD-ROM:\UleadPhotoExplorer7.0SEPlatinum
\Document\Manual folder of the software CD.
Pleasenotethatthisutilityisoptionalandnotneeded
for the MobileCam/Light Pro to operate.
1. Boot up to Windows and insert the driver CD.
2. Autorun will start installation. If Autorun does
not start, click Start, Run. Type in
D:\Autorun.exe, then click OK. (Change D: to
match your CD-ROM drive letter)
3. In the MobileCam Pro window, click the
down arrow, click Install Ulead Photo
Explorer 7.0 SE Platinum, then follow the on-
screen instructions.
4. When prompted, enter the Ulead serial
number found on the driver CD sleeve to
complete the installation.

Connecting the MobileCam/Light Pro
Important: Make sure the driver is installed before
connecting the MobileCam/Light Pro to your system.
Note: After the MobileCam/Light Pro has been
connected, turn the lens to improve focus if needed.
Windows 98SE:
1. Plug the MobileCam/Light Pro into an available
USB port.
2. At the Insert Disk box, insert your Windows
98SE installation CD-ROM, then click OK.
3. If prompted, click Yes to keep the newer files.
4. Restart Windows to complete the installation.
Windows ME:
Windows ME will automatically detect and install
the correct driver for the MobileCam. Restart
Windows if prompted.
Note: If prompted, click Yes to keep the newer files.
Windows 2000:
1. Plug the MobileCam/Light Pro into an available
USB port.

2. At the Digital Signature Not Found window,
click Yes two times. Our driver has been
thoroughly tested in Windows for stability.
3. Click Finish.
4. The camera is now ready.
Windows XP:
1. Plug the MobileCam/Light Pro into an available
USB port.
2. At the Found New Hardware Wizard, select
Install the software automatically
(Recommended), then click Next.
3. At the Hardware Installation window, click
Continue Anyway. Our driver has been
thoroughly tested in Windows for stability.
4. Click Finish then Yes to restart Windows.
5. The camera is now ready.

To verify successful installation:
1. Check Device Manager to verify successful
driver installation.
Windows98SE/ME: Fromthemaindesktop,right
click MyComputer, then click Properties. Click
Device Manager tab.
Windows 2000/XP: Right click My Computer,
then click Manage. Click Device Manager.
2. Double click Imaging Device(s) option and
MobileCam Pro should be displayed.
MobileCam/Light Pro Buttons
Note: To view the exact location of each button, see
figure 1 on page 2.
1. Press the button on the back of the MobileCam/
Light Pro to activate/deactivate the light.
2. Press the button on the side of the MobileCam/
Light Pro to take a snapshot.

AMCAP Capturing
Usethisutilitytoeasilycapturevideoandsnapshots.
Note: Turnthelenstoimprovefocusifneeded. (See
figure 1 on page 2)
Video capture:
Windows 98SE/ME/2000:
1. Click Start, Programs, MobileCam Pro, then
AMCAP.
Important: Onyourveryfirsttimecapturing
video,clickFile,selectSetcapturefile...,type
inafilenamewith .aviextension,clickOpen,
then click OK. An example for this file name
is test.avi. You only have to do this once.
2. Wait for an image to appear, click Capture,
then Start Capture.
3. Click OK.
4. To end capture, click Capture, then Stop
Capture.
5. To save the captured video click File, Save
Captured Video As..., type in a name, then
click Open.

Windows XP:
1. Click the Snapshot button to start AMCAP.
Important: Onyourveryfirsttimecapturing
video,clickFile,selectSetcapturefile...,type
inafilenamewith.aviextension,clickOpen,
then click OK. An example for this file name
is test.avi. You only have to do this once.
2. Wait for an image to appear, click Capture,
then Start Capture.
3. Click OK.
4. To end capture, click Capture, then Stop
Capture.
5. To save the captured video click File, Save
Captured Video As..., type in a name, then
click Open.
Snapshot capture:
Windows 98SE/ME/2000:
1. Click Start, Programs, MobileCam Pro, then
AMCAP.
2. Wait for an image to appear then click the
Snapshot button.
3. In the StillCap window, click File, Save As,
type in a name, then click Save.

Windows XP:
1. Click the Snapshot button to start AMCAP.
2. Wait for an image to appear, then click the
Snapshot button.
3. In the VMCap window, click File, Save As,
type in a name, then click Save.
Sound
The MobileCam/Light Pro comes with a built-in
microphone. If you need this function, use the
directions in this section to configure the
microphone's recording level.
Windows 98SE:
1. In Control Panel, double click Multimedia,
then click Audio tab.
2. In Recording, select PC Camera... as the
preferred device.
3. Click the Microphone icon, move the slider
bar up to increase the recording level.
4. Close the open windows when finished.
Windows ME/2000:
1. In Control Panel, double click Sounds and
Multimedia, then click Audio tab.

2. In Recording, select PC Camera... as the
preferred device.
3. Click Volume, move the slider bar up to
increase the recording level.
4. Close the open windows when finished.
Windows XP:
1. In Control Panel, double click Sounds and
Audio Devices, then click Audio tab.
2. In Sound recording, select PC Camera as the
preferred device.
3. Click Volume, move the slider bar up to
increase the recording level.
4. Close the open windows when finished.
