1. Get to know your Silk’n Reveal
Silk’n Reveal is an electrical device. As such, it should be used with
special attention to safety. Before using the device for the rst time, be
sure to read all warnings, contraindications and safety precautions. It is
important that you read and understand the instructions on how to
use the device including after-use procedures, and follow them strictly.
We recommend you re-familiarise yourself with the instructions in this manual
before each treatment. You can also go to www.silkn.com to watch a short
video on how to get the very best from your Silk’n Reveal.

1.2 Device description
Silk’n Reveal is an over the counter device intended for self-treatment in the
home. Thedeviceexfoliatestheskin’supperlayertofreshenandcleanseyour
skin. Refer to the diagram at the front of this manual to see the location of
each feature.

Together, the dual technologies of microdermabrasion exfoliation and
vacuum stimulation both cleanse your skin and improve your skin tone.

1.3 Intended use
Silk’n Reveal is a home device for the self-treatment of:
Ageing skin of the face, neck and hands
Fine facial lines
Skin discoloration
Dark spots and shallow scars
Dull and sun-damaged skin
Do not use for any purpose other than as described in this manual.
2. Contraindications & warnings
Be sure to read this section carefully and take note of the
warningsandcontraindications.

the age of 16, those with limited physical, sensory or
psychologicalcapacities,orpeoplelackingexperienceor
knowledgeinhowtousethedevice.Childrenshouldbe
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

Do not use Silk’n Reveal if you have:
ERosacea.
EPoorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes
and thyroid conditions.
EAbnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes, systemic
or other metabolic diseases.

Receivedradiationtherapyorchemotherapytreatments
within the past 3 months, or have areas of potential skin
malignancies.

Usedphysician-prescribeddrugsonyourskinwithinthe
past 6 months.

Anyotherconditionwhich,intheopinionofyourphysician
or dermatologist, would make it unsafe for you to be
treated.
Do not treat areas that have:

Active eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds or
infections (cold sores), moles or warts, abnormal skin
conditions caused by systemic or metabolic diseases
(diabetes for example).
EA history of herpes outbreaks.
ETraumatized or injured skin.
KHad recent exposure tothesun withoutprotection(wait
1day);for tannedorsunburntskin,wait7days.
Additional warnings
EDo not use on nipples or genitals.
ERecommended use is no more than twice a week.

Use the low suction mode if you experience any
discomfort.
EStop use immediately if your skin is very red.
ERemove all jewelry before treatments.

Be sure to apply sunscreen SPF 30 or higher when out in
the sun.

Always ensure that your hands and skin are dry before
operating the device or touching the adapter plug.
A
Keep your device away from water or liquids! Do not use
near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing
water.Donotplaceor store thedevicewhereit canfall,be
pushedorplacedanywherenearwateroranyotherliquid.
There is a risk of electrocution. Unplug immediately if the
device comes into contact with any uids, and contact
Customer Service.
ANever leave the device unattended when plugged
into an outlet. Keep the AC/DC adapter accessible at
all times, so it can be removed from the socket easily
in case of emergency. Unplug the device immediately
after use.
EDo not carry the device by the AC/DC adapter cable.
EIf the device malfunctions, unplug immediately.

mayexposeyourselftodangerouselectricalcomponents
and may cause serious harm to yourself.

3. Do not use Silk’n Reveal if:
The adapter, attachments or accessories for this device are not
recommended by Home Skinovations Ltd.
The device hasadamagedcableorplug.Keepthe powercable away
from heated surfaces.
Yousee orsmellsmokewhenit isin use.
The treatment surface, or device casing is cracked or coming
apart.
The device is not working or appears to be damaged in any other way.
In such cases, contact Silk’n Customer Service.
4. What to expect with Silk’n Reveal
During a treatment session it is normal to experience or feel:
A humming sound from the device: This is the suction pump
working.
Some slight redness of the skin: This should subside within a few
hours, orup tooneday.
EStop use immediately if your skin is very red.
EContact your physician, if you experience any complications.

5. Possible side eects
If you follow the instructions fully and pay attention to all warnings and
contraindications,complications and sideeectsareuncommon.Allcosmetic
procedures,includingthosedesignedforhomeuse, involvesomedegree of
risk. Therefore, it is important that you understand and accept the risks and
complications that may occur.
Skin redness
You may experience dilation of the supercial blood capillaries. This may
result in some redness for a few days. Additionally, some capillaries may
present red spots that will also subside with time. In such cases, immediately
cool the area with cold water.
Bruising
You may experience slight bruising which should disappear after 2-3 days.
Consult your physician if you experience any persistent symptoms.
6. Before your rst treatment
To use your Silk’n Reveal, follow these steps:
1. Remove the device and other components from the box.
2. Plug the adapter cable into the device socket and plug the adapter
into an electricaloutlet.
3. Read the rest of this section for information on treatment areas, the
treatment plan, and when to use the ne and coarse treatment tips.

6.1 Treatment areas
We recommendthat you start withthe low suction mode, and move to the
high mode after a few uses. If you have any discomfort, work the treatment
areainlow suctionmode.
Treatment area Recommendations
Forehead, cheeks and chin Move the device over your skin from the center
outwards and towards the hairline.
Eyes and nose
Use short upward strokes for the area around
your eyebrows. Avoid the eyelids.
For the nose area, use straight downward
strokes following the curve of the nose and the
contour of the cheekbones.
Neck Use smooth, downward strokes and work the
whole of the neck area.
6.2 Treatment Plan
To start with, you should only pass the treatment tip over the same
patch of skin 2-4 times. When your skin is used to the treatment, you
may increase the number of times to 4-6.
We recommend you do not use the device more than once a week.

6.3 Silk’n Reveal’s Fine and Coarse treatment tips
The device has two treatment tips, marked ‘Fine’or ‘Coarse’. Werecommend
that you start with the Fine treatment tip.
Use the Fine treatment tip for general treatment or delicate nishing.
Use the Coarse treatment tip for heavy duty exfoliation.
To change treatment tips:
1. Make sure the device is not connected to an
electrical outlet.
2. Remove the current treatment tip (#1) from the
devicebygrippingandpullingit,thenreplacewith
the other treatment tip. Make sure the treatmenttip
is rmlyin place before use. Youwill hearaclickso
you know it’s in place.
7. Get started!
You'reonyourwaytofresher,smootherskin!TreatingwithSilk’nRevealiseasy.
Justfollowthesestepsforeachareayouwishtotreat.Eachtreatmentshould
take about 5 minutes.
7.1 Recommended precautions
Before you treat an area for the rst time,do a spottest on asmallarea
of skin and then wait 24 hours. If you have no adverse reaction, go
ahead and treat that area.
Use the low suction mode for your rst 2-3 treatments.
Stop immediately if you feel any discomfort.

7.2 Treatment steps
1. Make sure your skin is clean, dry and free from powder, cream or gel.
2. Make sure that the rubber cap (#2), filter (#3), and treatment tip (#1)are
rmly in place. For your rst few treatments, be sure to use the Fine
treatment tip.
3. Press the control button (#4)toturnonthedevice.YourSilk’nRevealis
ready forusein low suctionmode.
4. Apply the treatmenttip rmlytoyourskinsothatyoufeelthesuction.
5. Workeacharea asrecommendedinsection“6.1Treatmentareas”.
6. To move from low to high suction mode, press the control button
again.
7. To switch othe device after treatment, short press the controlbutton
once or twice, depending on which suction mode you are in.
8. Unplugthedeviceandstoreitinitsoriginalbox.Pleaserefertosection
“8. Maintenance”.
7.3 After treatment
Try not to expose recently treated areas of skin to sunlight. Be sure to
apply sunscreen SPF 30 or higher when out in the sun.
You may wish to apply a facial mask, or apply a day or night cream.

ItisimportanttocleanyourSilk’nRevealdeviceandstoreitproperlyaftereach
treatment.
LFirst, unplug the device.
LTo clean the device, wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Never use
acetone or other abrasive uids, because they will damage
your device.

LTo clean the treatment tip, rst remove it from the device,
wash with soap and water, then dry thoroughly.
LTo clean the lter, rst remove it from the device, brush away
any debris using a soft brush, and place it back on the device.
LAfter cleaning, we recommend you store the device in its
original box.
EWith the exception of the treatment tips, never immerse your Silk’n
Revealinwater.
8.1 Replacing the lter
The filter needs cleaning or replacing due to the build-up of discarded skin.
We recommend that you do this every few treatments.
To replace the lter:
1. Remove the treatment tip from thedevice.You
will then see the rubber cap andthe small black
filter.
2. Remove the rubber cap (#2), and then remove
the filter (#3).
3. To clean the filter, brush oany debris, then
place it back on the device. To change a filter,
remove the current filter and insert a new one.
4. Place the rubber cap back into position, then
put the treatment tip back on the device, making sure that it is rmly
connected.
8.2 Replacing the treatment tip and rubber cap
We recommend that you replace the treatment tip every 12 months.
There is no particular need to replace the rubber cap.

www.silkn.com. For replacement rubber caps or AC/DC adapters, please
contact Silk'n Customer Service.
10. Troubleshooting
Do notattemptto openorrepairyourSilk’nReveal.You may expose yourself
todangerouselectricalcomponentsandcauseseriousharmtoyourself.Itwill
alsovoidyourwarranty.
Problem Checks
My device does not
start.
Make sure the adapter is properly connected to the
device, that it is plugged into an electrical outlet,
and that you have pressed the control button.
I don't feel any suction
when the device
touches my skin.
Make sure the device is on, and check that the
lter, rubber cap and treatment tip are placed on the
device correctly.
EOnly authorized personnel are permitted to perform repairs. For
problems or queries, please contact Silk'n Customer Service.
