SLEEPOVER BODY AND BEDSIDE STAND - INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions are important.
Please read carefully and retain for future reference.
Your Sleepover body and bedside stand are high quality Silver Cross products.
They meet current British safety standards and care and regular light maintenance will
ensure long service.
If somebody unfamiliar is using your Sleepover body and bedside stand always
ensure that they read these instructions carefully so that they understand how the
products work best.
Although these instructions clearly outline the correct use of the Sleepover body and
bedside stand they do not relate to your chosen chassis. Always read all instructions
provided carefully and remember, the safety of your child is your responsibility.
The Sleepover body is designed and tested to work with the following
Silver Cross Chassis.
Classic (SX101, SX102, SX105) Linear (SX103, SX106)
The Bedside stand (SX502, SX503) is only designed and tested to be used with
Sleepover body and must not be used with any other products.

First check that all your parts have been supplied. Your Sleepover is provided with a
range of accessories including your bedside stand. Your package should include:

2. OPERATING THE HARNESS

To undo the harness press prongs and pull
apart. The shoulder straps will then slide off
the waist strap section
Your harness is fully adjustable by moving the
slides, to make fitting easy.
‘D’ rings are provided for fitting a separate
harness if required, complying with BS 6684.
Your child should always be harnessed in
and should never be left unattended, even for
short periods of time.
To fasten the harness, first slide the shoulder
strap clips onto the waist section. Then push
the waist prongs into the central buckle.

3. OPERATING THE BUMPER BAR
To adjust your bumper bar press the release
button on either side, located underneath
the bar.
Whilst pressing both buttons, pull the bumper
towards the foot end of the body until you
hear a click. Check that both side catches
have locked.
By pressing both buttons once more, the
bumper bar can be fully removed for greater
access or cleaning.

4. OPERATING THE FOOTREST

To lower the footrest reach underneath the
footrest and locate the release bar. Push this
downwards and the footrest will lower
The footplate is also adjustable, so as your
child grows the footplate can be stowed up
under the fabric
Gently lower the footrest into the lower
position.

5. OPERATING THE BACKREST RECLINE
The body unit’s backrest is fully adjustable
from upright to a lie flat position.
To adjust the seat place the palm of your hand
on the hand rest and grip the release catch.
Squeeze to release the catch either lift or
lower.
Remember when using the Sleepover in
the overnight cot mode always ensure the
backrest is lowered into the lowest position.

6. OPERATING THE HOOD

The Sleepover hood is multi positional and
self tensioning in the upright position. Simply
hold the front hood bar and gently lift or
lower.
To release the hood, locate the release button
(under the fabric, approximately 20mm
below the hood ratchet mechanism) press to
release the clip and lift the hood upwards.
Failure to press the releases button may result
in damage to your product. Finally undo the
two press studs on the rear skirt of the hood.
The hood has a simple to operate vent. To
open simply release the velcro pad, roll up
and secure with the press stud and flap. This
allows for extra ventilation on warm summer
days.

7. ATTACHING THE BODY TO THE STAND / CHASSIS
Lift the fabric flap on either side of the
Sleepover body. Underneath you will
discover the release handle. Always lift your
Sleepover body from this point and not from
any other point.
Position the body so that the four locking
catches on the base are directly over the top
of the support bars on your stand or chassis.
Push the body downwards so that all four
locks click and locate. Give the body a gentle
lift to check all points are securely fastened
The ‘safe and secure’ locking system operates
in an identical way on both the bedside stand
or chassis.

8. DETACHING THE BODY FROM THE STAND / CHASSIS

Gently grip the inner release catch and slide
the release hand towards the foot end of the
body. Squeeze to release the body catches
clear of the bars
The body will now lift away from the stand/
chassis freely.

9. OPERATING THE BEDSIDE STAND
The Bedside stand is for use only with the
Sleepover body and with no other pram
units, carrycots or Moses baskets provided by
Silver Cross or any other manufacturer.
Use only on a firm ground which is
horizontal, level and dry. When the stand is
not in use, it must be folded or put away.
Locate the locking clips and push in the
direction of the arrow so that it releases from
the pin to open.
Open out the stand so the top support bar
and upright legs swing clear of the base.

To lock the stand align the locking clip with
the pin. When both sides are lined up push
the clips down so that they lock.
The lower cross bars are able to rotate and
click into position to prevent or enable the
stand to gently rock.
Now double check the stand is locked at both
sides by lifting the top support.
Always ensure the stand is only used on a
stable, even floor.
Never use on a raised surface or
table.

10. PREPARATION FOR USE AS A PRAM
To prepare your Sleepover body for use as
a pram, ensure the backrest recline is in its
lowest position, extend the bumper bar and
lift the foot rest. Finally attach the body unit
to your chosen Classic / Linear chassis or
bedside stand.
Now fit the cot liner, ensuring that it is the
correct way around, and that it fits snugly
over all the edges of the Sleepover body
unit. Finally check that the hood attachment
points are open and clear.
Now place the supplied mattress inside the
Sleepover body, ensuring that the ventilated
section is placed towards the head end .
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE!
Only the mattress supplied with your
Sleepover is to be used. Do not use any
other mattress with this product.
Replacement or spare mattress can only be
purchased through Silver Cross, approved
stockists.

A bootend apron is supplied with your
Sleepover Deluxe this can be positioned over
the foot end of your body unit, and held in
place with the velcro tabs.
Open out your hood, this then fits by pushing
the clips into the body hood attachment as
illustrated in the picture opposite.
Once in position use the zip to fully secure the
bootend to the pram liner .

10. PREPARATION FOR USE AS A PRAM (CONTINUED)
To fully attach your hood, there are two press
studs on the underside of the rear panel which
attach to the head end of the Sleepover
body.
Slide the Sleepover apron onto the body
unit.
Line up the press stud on one of the sides and
attach to the body, now repeat on the other
side.

Your carrycot is now ready for use.
The ventilation disc is now exposed.
The level of ventilation can be adjusted by
opening or closing the vent to the desired
aperture required.
Your Sleepover body has a ventilation system
located on the under side of the body. To
locate open the fabric cover, and roll this
away.

11. PREPARATION FOR USE AS AN OVERNIGHT COT
To prepare your Sleepover body for use as an
overnight cot, ensure the backrest recline is
in its lowest position, extend the bumper bar
and lift the foot rest, Finally attach the body
unit to your bedside stand.
Now pull the Moses valance over the body
ensuring the button hole flaps on the valance
align with the hood attachment mouldings on
the Sleepover body. Ensure the valance fits
snugly within the Sleepover body unit
Now place the supplied mattress inside the
Sleepover body, ensuring that the ventilated
section is placed towards the head end .
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE!
Only the mattress supplied with your
Sleepover is to be used. Do not use any
other mattress with this product.
Replacement or spare mattress can only be
purchased through Silver Cross, approved
stockists.

Lift the velcro flaps on the Moses valance to
allow access to fit the hood. The rear of the
Moses hood can be held in position with a
velcro strip
Note : For packaging and transportation
purposes your Moses valance is supplied with
tempoary stitching on each of the pleats,
these can be carefully removed by cutting with
a pair of scissors.
Your overnight cot is now ready for use.

12. PREPARATION FOR USE AS A PUSHCHAIR
To prepare your Sleepover body for use as
a pushchair, attach the body unit to your
chosen Classic / Linear chassis or bedside
stand and follow the instructions below.
Retract the bumper bar to its shortest position.
For further information pleases read section 3
“Adjusting the bumper bar”.
Adjust the leg rest to the down position and
flip out the foot support if required.

Lift the backrest into the desired
position. For further information please read
section 5 “Adjusting your backrest”.
Your pushchair is now ready to use. During
warmer weather the cosy toe’s front can be
unzipped and removed .
Adjust harness accordingly for your child. The
Sleepover Deluxe is supplied with a cosy toes
for optional use in pushchair mode. When
using the cosy toes use the appropriate button
holes to slide through the harness webbing.
