1. Sicherheitshinweise
Die Einhaltung des Anwenderhinweises ist Voraussetzung für den störungsfreien
und sicheren Betrieb. Der Anwenderhinweis des Schmierstoffspenders simalube ist
Bestandteil dieses Dokuments. Der Betreiber muss gewährleisten, dass nur quali-
fiziertes Personal mit dem Schmiersystem arbeitet, der Anwenderhinweis und die
notwendigen Sicherheits- und Wartungsvorschriften eingehalten werden und das
Schmiersystem IMPULSE sachgerecht und bestimmungsgemäss verwendet wird.
Die einwandfreie Funktion des Schmiersystems ist nur bei Verwendung der
empfohlenen Schmierstoffe, des original simalube Zubehörprogramms und Be-
achtung der Montage- und Betriebsvorschriften gewährleistet. Bei Nichteinhaltung
dieser Vorschriften schliesst der Hersteller jegliche Haftung für Folgeschäden aus.
Die Batterien nicht wiederverwenden oder aufladen, nicht öffnen, nicht ins Feuer
werfen, sondern recyceln.
Das Schmiersystem simalube IMPULSE entspricht bei Auslieferung dem Stand der
Technik und gilt grundsätzlich als betriebssicher.
Gefahr
Das Schmiersystem steht im Betrieb unter Druck. Vor der Demontage oder bei
Wartungsarbeiten müssen die Leitungen und der Schmierstoffspender simalube
drucklos gemacht werden. Durch Lösen des Antriebskopfs am simalube kann der
Spender unbedenklich drucklos gemacht werden.
Verwenden Sie nur neue, original verpackte Batteriepacks. Öffnen Sie die Ver-
packung des Batteriepacks erst unmittelbar vor dem Einsetzen in das Gerät. Mit
gebrauchten oder entleerten Batteriepacks kann der Schmiervorgang nicht mehr
korrekt ausgeführt werden.
Warnung
■ Entfernen Sie nie einen simalube Schmierstoffspender unter Druck, welcher
noch nicht leer ist. Der Gasdruck des simalube könnte sonst das restliche Fett/
Öl unkontrolliert aus dem Spender ausstossen und das Batteriefach verschmut-
zen.
■ Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Installation dem maximalen Systemdruck standhält.
■ Beim Vorfüllen des IMPULSE darf der Druck niemals höher als 2 bar sein.
■ Der IMPULSE darf nur mit simalube Schmierstoffspendern betrieben werden.
■ Installation nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung aussetzen.
■ Der IMPULSE darf nicht mit Hochdruck oder mit Dampfstrahl gereinigt werden.

Das Gerät simalube IMPULSE ist ein vollautomatischer, elektromechanischer Druck-
verstärker passend zu den simalube Schmierstoffspendern. Der Druckverstärker
IMPULSE wird direkt auf den Schmierpunkt geschraubt oder an eine Leitung ange-
schlossen. Ein simalube Schmierstoffspender versorgt das System mit Schmierstoff.
Die Laufzeiteinstellung 1–12 Monate erfolgt am simalube Schmierstoffspender.
Am Druckverstärker IMPULSE müssen keine Einstellungen vorgenommen werden,
der Schmierstoffstrom/Takt wird automatisch detektiert. Mit der simatec App
"simatec world of maintenance" kann das Gerät einfach konfiguriert und
bequem überwacht werden. Die kontinuierliche Schmierstoffabgabe des simalube
wird durch den Druckverstärker in Schmierimpulse von ca. 0,5ml Volumen und
einem Druck von bis zu 10 bar umgewandelt. Die Funktion wird durch eine
Kontrolllogik überwacht, welche den aktuellen Betriebszustand anhand einer
blinkenden LED-Anzeige (grün/rot/blau) signalisiert oder über die App anzeigt.
Die Energieversorgung erfolgt über ein auswechselbares Batteriepack. Der Druck-
verstärker kann mehrfach wiederverwendet werden. Der Druckverstärker IMPULSE
ist durch ein integriertes Rückschlagventil gegen zu hohen Gegendruck geschützt.
Der simalube IMPULSE connect unterstützt die Bluetooth® Konnektivität, so
dass er mit der simatec App verwendet werden kann, die im Apple Store und
Google Play Store erhältlich ist (siehe S.7, Kap. 4, Pkt. 9).

Angaben zu Spendevolumen, Laufzeiteinstellung und Temperaturkompensation kön-
nen dem simalube Anwenderhinweis entnommen werden. Unter www.simatec.com ist
ein Online-Berechnungsprogramm (simalube/Calculation Pro) und ein Online-Schmier-
plan (simalube/LubeChart) verfügbar. Für mehr Komfort sind diese auch als App im
Google Play Store und Apple Store verfügbar.

Der IMPULSE darf nur durch qualifiziertes Personal montiert
werden. Das Gerät muss vor Feuchtigkeit, Schlägen, Schmutz
und Staub geschützt werden, darf nicht direkter Sonnenein-
strahlung ausgesetzt sein und muss gut zugänglich montiert
werden. Das Gerät kann in beliebiger Einbaulage installiert
werden. Bei starken Vibrationen, Wärme bzw. Kälte muss der
IMPULSE über eine Schlauchleitung entfernt vom Schmierpunkt
installiert werden. Die Leitungslänge darf dabei nicht länger
als vier Meter sein. Einfache Installationsanleitungen findet
man auch in der simatec App (siehe S. 7, Kap.4, Pkt. 9)
1. Die Schmierstelle muss gereinigt und anschliessend der
Schmiernippel entfernt werden.
2. Wenn nötig muss ein Reduziernippel eingeschraubt und
die Gewindeverbindung des IMPULSE/Reduziernippels
im Anschluss mit PTFE-Band oder einem geeigneten
Dichtmittel abgedichtet werden.
3. Vor der Montage des IMPULSE muss der Schmierpunkt
inklusive der Leitung zur Kontrolle mittels einer Fettpresse
mit dem korrekten Schmierstoff durchgeschmiert werden.
4. Den IMPULSE mit Hilfe einer Fettpresse und dem
Füllnippel 290.3015 befüllen bis am Gewindeende
Schmierstoff austritt. Achtung: Der Druck darf beim
Befüllen niemals höher als 2 bar sein.
5. O-Ring Dichtung am IMPULSE leicht einfetten.
6. Der IMPULSE wird auf die Schmierstelle geschraubt.
Das simalube IMPULSE Logo muss sichtbar nach
vorne zeigen, da sich die LED-Funktionsanzeige
unter dem Logo befindet.

7. Das Batteriepack kann nun eingesetzt werden.
Es muss ein neues Batteriepack verwendet werden.

an.

5. Betriebsanzeige
Nach der Anlaufzeit des Schmierstoffspenders simalube wird der IMPULSE kon-
tinuierlich mit Schmierstoff versorgt, das Gerät wechselt nun in den normalen Be-
triebszustand. Falls in der App der Modus "Zeit" gewählt wurde, geht das Gerät
nach dem zweiten Pumpenhub in den normalen Betriebszustand. Die grüne LED
blinkt 1× auf und wiederholt dies alle 10 Sekunden während der gesamten Lauf-
zeit. Fehler werden ab dem Auftreten durch Blinken der roten LED signalisiert oder
werden direkt in der App angezeigt. Fehlerzustände werden so lange angezeigt
wie sie anstehen. Falls keine LED blinkt ist das Gerät nicht in Betrieb, defekt oder
die Batterie ist komplett leer. Bei einer Laufzeiteinstellung von 1 Monat muss eine
wöchentliche, bei 3 Monaten eine 2–3 wöchentliche und bei mehr als 3 Monaten
eine monatliche Kontrolle durchgeführt werden.

9a. Es ist möglich, den IMPULSE connect über Bluetooth®mit
der simatec App zu verbinden, die Ihnen mehr Kontrolle
und Informationen über Ihren IMPULSE gibt. Man kann
die App im Apple Store oder Google Play Store herunter-
laden.
9b. Der Bluetooth®Code ist auf dem IMPULSE aufgedruckt
und mit einem Bluetooth®Icon gekennzeichnet.
Nach der Registrierung des IMPULSE in der App müs-
sen folgende Parameter in der App ausgefüllt werden:

8. Der simalube Schmierstoffspender wird nun auf den
IMPULSE aufgeschraubt, das Batteriepack wird dadurch
fixiert und aktiviert somit das Gerät.
Wichtig: Der obere graue Rand des simalube soll
bündig ins IMPULSE Gehäuse eingeschraubt werden.

7. Spenderwechsel
1. Der Spender muss druckfrei gemacht werden. Dazu muss vorsichtig das
Cartridge entfernt werden.
2. Der entleerte Schmierstoffspender wird herausgeschraubt und kann entweder
ersetzt oder wiederbefüllt werden. Hierfür muss der simalube Anwenderhin-
weis befolgt werden.
3. Das verbrauchte Batteriepack ist zu entfernen und durch ein Neues zu ersetzen.
4. Vor dem Einsetzen des neuen Batteriepacks ist die Dichtung des IMPULSE
zu kontrollieren und zu reinigen. Der IMPULSE bleibt unverändert auf der
Schmierstelle und kann mehrfach wiederverwendet werden.
5. Weiter im Kapitel "Montage und Inbetriebnahme" (siehe S. 6, Kap. 4, Pkt.7).
6. Wenn der IMPULSE in der App registriert ist, müssen die Grösse und Laufzeit
aktualisiert werden.
8. Entsorgung
Das verbrauchte Batteriepack und der simalube Antriebskopf sind dem Batterie-Re-
cycling zuzuführen. Batterien nicht wiederverwenden, nicht aufladen, nicht öffnen
und nicht ins Feuer werfen. Das Gerät IMPULSE (ohne Batteriepack) gemäss der
Richtlinie 2012/19/EU (WEEE) entsorgen.
Schützen Sie die Umwelt, indem Sie wertvolle Rohstoffe der Wiederverwertung
zuführen und beachten Sie die Entsorgungsrichtlinien Ihres Landes.
9. Wartung
Der IMPULSE ist wartungsfrei. Bei einem Spenderwechsel muss das Gehäuse und
die Dichtung kontrolliert und abgewischt werden. Falls das IMPULSE Gehäuse
Risse aufweist, muss das Gerät entsorgt werden.
Für detaillierte Informationen und die Kontrolle über den IMPULSE connect ist es
möglich, den IMPULSE mit der simatec App "simatec world of maintenance" zu
verbinden. Der Bluetooth
®
Code ist auf dem IMPULSE aufgedruckt und gekenn-
zeichnet.
6. Laufzeit während Betrieb verändern
Sie können die Laufzeit während dem Betrieb am simalube nur verändern, wenn
Sie den Modus "Zeit" zusammen mit der simatec App verwenden.
1. Ändern Sie die Laufzeit in der simatec App.
2. Stellen Sie das Cartridge des Spenders auf dieselbe Laufzeit ein.

1. Safety information
Compliance with the information contained in this user manual is a prerequisite
for smooth, safe operation. The user manual for the simalube lubricator forms
a part of this document. The operator must guarantee that only qualified staff
work with the lubrication system, that the user manual and necessary safety and
maintenance instructions are observed and that the IMPULSE lubrication system is
used correctly and for its intended purpose. Flawless functioning of the lubrication
system is only ensured through the use of the recommended lubricants, the original
simalube range of accessories and if the assembly and operating instructions are
observed. In the event of non-compliance with these instructions, the manufacturer
accepts no liability whatsoever for any consequential damage or loss. Recycle the
batteries; do not reuse, charge, open or throw them in a fire.
The simalube IMPULSE lubrication system is a state-of-the-art system upon delivery
and is considered inherently safe to operate.
Danger
The lubrication system is pressurised during operation. Prior to disassembly or
maintenance work, all lines and the simalube lubricator must be depressurised.
The lubricator can be depressurised safely by loosening the simalube’s gas
generator.
Only use new, originally packed battery packs. Do not open the packaging of the
battery pack until immediately before inserting it into the device. Correct lubrica-
tion is not possible with used or empty battery packs.
Warning
■ Never remove a pressurised simalube lubricator before it is empty. Otherwise
the gas pressure in the simalube could cause the uncontrolled discharge of
any remaining grease/oil from the lubricator and the battery compartment will
get dirty.
■ Make sure that the installation can withstand the maximum system pressure.
■ When priming the IMPULSE, the pressure must never be higher than 2 bar.
■ The IMPULSE must only be operated in conjunction with simalube lubricators.
■ Do not expose the installation to direct sunlight.
■ The IMPULSE must not be cleaned with a pressure washer or steam cleaner.

The simalube IMPULSE is a fully automatic, electromechanical pressure booster for
use with simalube lubricators. The IMPULSE pressure booster is screwed directly
onto the lubrication point or connected to a line. A simalube lubricator supplies
the system with lubricant. A dispensing time between 1 and 12 months can be set
on the simalube lubricator. No settings need to be made on the IMPULSE pressure
booster since the lubricant amount/cycle is detected automatically. The device can
be easily configured and conveniently monitored using the simatec app "simatec
world of maintenance". The pressure booster transforms continuous simalube
lubrication into lubrication bursts of about 0.5 ml in volume and a pressure of
up to 10 bar. This feature is monitored by a logic control that has a blinking LED
display (green/red/blue) to indicate the current operating mode or is shown in the
app. Power is supplied by a replaceable battery pack. The pressure booster can
be reused multiple times. The IMPULSE pressure booster is protected against ex-
cessively high counterpressure by an integrated non-return valve. The simalube
IMPULSE connect supports Bluetooth® connectivity enabling it to be used with
the “simatec app”, which is available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Please refer to the simalube user manual for information regarding dispensing
volume, setting the dispensing time and temperature compensation. An online
calculation program (simalube/Calculation Pro) and an online lubrication chart
(simalube/LubeChart) are available at www.simatec.com. For your convenience,
these programs are also available as apps in the Google Play Store and Apple
Store.

The IMPULSE must only be installed by qualified personnel.
The device must be protected against moisture, impact, dirt
and dust, must not be exposed to direct sunlight and must
be installed such that it is easily accessible. The device
can be installed in any position. In the event of strong
vibrations, heat or cold, a hose must be used to install the
IMPULSE at a distance from the lubrication point. The hose
must not be more than four metres long. Simple installation
guides can also be found on our simatec app. (see p. 16,
ch. 4, pt. 9)
1. The lubrication point must be cleaned and then the
grease nipple removed.
2. If necessary, a reducing nipple must be screwed in
and the threaded connector on the IMPULSE/reduc-
ing nipple must then be sealed using PTFE tape or a
suitable sealant.
3. Before the IMPULSE is installed, the lubrication point
and the grease line must be lubricated well using a
grease gun containing the correct lubricant.
4. Fill the IMPULSE with the help of a grease gun and
filling nipple 290.3015 until lubricant emerges at
the end of the thread.
Attention: The pressure must never be higher than 2
bar when filling.
5. Slightly grease the O-ring seal on the IMPULSE.
6. Screw the IMPULSE onto the lubrication point.
The simalube IMPULSE logo must face the front
and be visible since the LED function display is
located below the logo.

7. The battery pack can now be inserted.
A new battery pack must be used.
The green LED will blink 2× and indicates the start
mode.
If the battery pack has already been used, the red
LED will blink 2× and a new battery pack must be
inserted.

5. Operating display
After the simalube lubricator’s start-up time, the IMPULSE will continuously be
supplied with lubricant and the device switches into normal operating mode, if the
"Time" mode has been selected in the app, the device switches to normal operat-
ing mode after the second pump stroke. The green LED flashes every 10 seconds
during the entire dispensing time. Errors are indicated by a blinking red LED or
are shown directly in the app. An error status is indicated for as long as the error
exists. If no LED is flashing, the device is not in operation, is faulty or the battery is
completely empty. Inspections are recommended once a week if a dispensing time
of 1 month is set, every 2–3 weeks for a dispensing time of 3 months and once a
month for a dispensing time of more than 3 months.

8. The simalube lubricator is then screwed onto the
IMPULSE which fixes the battery pack in place and
thus activates the device.

Important: The upper grey rim of the simalube should
be screwed flush into the IMPULSE housing.

7. Replacing the lubricator
1. The dispenser must be pressure free. To do this, carefully remove the cartridge.
2. Unscrew the empty lubricator and either replace or refill it. When doing so,
follow the instructions in the simalube user manual.
3. Remove the used battery pack and replace it with a new one.
4. Check and clean the seal on the IMPULSE before inserting the new battery
pack. The IMPULSE remains at the lubrication point and can be reused
multiple times.
5. For more information, see chapter "Installation and start-up" (p.15, ch. 4, pt.7).
6. If the IMPULSE is registered in the app, the size and runtime must be updated.
6. Change runtime during operation
You can only change the runtime of the simalube during operation if you use the
"time" mode together with the simatec app.
1. Change the runtime in the simatec app.
2. Set the cartridge on the dispenser to the same runtime.
8. Disposal
Used battery packs and simalube gas generators must be recycled in a battery
recycling system. Do not reuse, charge, open or throw batteries in a fire. The
IMPULSE device (without the battery pack) must be disposed of in accordance with
Directive 2012/19/ EU (WEEE).
Protect the environment by recycling valuable resources and observe your coun-
try’s disposal directives.
9. Maintenance
The IMPULSE is maintenance-free. When replacing the lubricator, check the
housing and gasket and wipe them clean. If cracks appear in the housing of the
IMPULSE, the device must be disposed of.
For detailed information and control over the IMPULSE connect, it is possible to
connect the IMPULSE with the simatec app "simatec world of maintenance". The
unique Bluetooth
®
code is printed on the IMPULSE.
