Step-By-Steps Instructions on How to Service Your DU2 LED Flashlight
1. Remove Rear Trigger Switch Tail Cap by Unscrewing the Rear of the Simon DU2

2. Lightly DAB Your Cotton Swab into the 90% or Stronger Isopropyl Alcohol
3. Grab The Rear Trigger Switch and Look inside and you will see a Copper Nipple. Use Your Cotton
Swab to Clean Around the Copper Nipple and the End of the Copper Nipple.
4. Then Clean Inside the Rear Trigger Switch Threads and Wipe Clean Dry.

5. Then Clean The Rear Battery Tube Threads and Wipe Dry.
6. Unscrew the Battery Tube from the Rear of the Head Unit and Clean the Threads and Wipe Dry.
7. Use New Cotton Swab to Clean the The Spring on the Rear Chip Set

8. Clean the Threads on the Inside of the Rear of the Head Unit and Wipe Dry.
9. Unscrew The Lens Cap
10. Remove the Aluminuim Chrome Reflector Cone

11. Inside the Head Unit You will See the Other Sides Chip Set Mounted with a Aluminum Ring with
Two Holes. Place Your AWL into the Hole and Tighten it Tight into the Head Unit.
12. Place The Chrome Aluminum Reflector Cone Back Inside the Front of the Head Unit and Make Sure
that you CENTER IT over The Diode and have a White Paper Gasket to Protect the Chip Set, Also Do
Not Pinch The Diode. (The Gasket Sometimes will be stuck on the Chip Set Already)
13. Hold the Chrome Reflector Cone Edge with Your Thumb While Wipping Clean the Interior of the
Chrome Reflector Cone with A Clean Soft Micro Fiber Cloth.

14. Clean the Inside of the Lens with a Clean Micro Fiber Cloth Before your Screw on the Lens Cover
back on to Re-assemble.
15. Screw Back On The Lens Cover with the O-Ring and Lens and Make Sure When you are Re-
Assembeling The DU2 Flashlight that Everything Has Been Wiped Clean and DRY.
16. Screw together the DU2 Head unit with the Battery Tube. The Battery Tube ONLY fits one way so
you cannot make a mistake assembeling it. Make Sure Everything is 100% Dry

17. Wiped Clean and DRY Both Ends of the Protected Simon Panasonic 18650 Rechargeable Battery.
18. Insert The Protected Simon Panasonic 18650 Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery + Positive Side First
19. Screw on The Rear Trigger Switch and Turn On.
