Thank you for purchasing this product.
The Parallel Kit is designed to connect
two inverter generators to provide twice
the power output to a load.
The manufacturer cannot anticipate every
possible circumstance that might involve
a hazard. The warnings in this manual,
and on
tags and decals affixed to the unit are,
therefore, not all inclusive. If using a
procedure work method or operating
technique that the
manufacturer does not specifically
recommend, verify that it is safe for
others. Also make sure the procedure,
work method or
operating technique utilized does not
render the equipment unsafe.
If any section of the manual is not
understood contact your nearest
authorized dealer or contact SIMPSON
Customer Service at 1-877-362-4271.

Refer to the Assembly section of the
manual for instructions on final assembly
procedures. Follow the instructions
completely.
Throughout this publication, and on tags
and decals affixed to the unit, DANGER.
WARNING, CAUTION and NOTE blocks
are used to alert personnel to special
instructions about a particular operation
that may be hazardous if performed
incorrectly or carelessly. Observe
them carefully. Their definitions are as
follows:

preventing accidents.
When working on this equipment, remain
alert at all times Never work on the
equipment when physically or mentally
fatigued Do not connect or disconnect
parallel kit while running.
For safety reasons, it is recommended
that the maintenance of this equipment
be performed by an independent
authorized service dealer.
Safety Symbols and Meanings
Electrical Hazards
Equipment and property damage. Do
not alter construction of, or installation
of primary fuel tank
Doing so could result in death or
serious injury, unsafe operation or
generator damage.
Electrocution. Turn utility and emergency
power supplies to OFF before connecting
power source and load lines. Failure to
do so will result in death or serious
injury.
Electrocution. Verify electrical system is
properly grounded before applying
power Failure to do so will result in
death or serious injury.
Electrocution. In the event of electrical
accident, immediately shut power OFF.
Use non-conductive Implements to from
live conductor. Apply first aid and get
medical help. Failure to do so will result
in death or serious injury.
Electrocution. Contact with bare wires
terminals, and connections while
generator is running will result in death
or serious injury.
Electrocution. Water contact with a
power source, if not avoided, will
result in death or serious injury.

Setup

The Parallel Kit is designed to connect
two inverter generators to provide twice
the power output to a load.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Never connect
parallel kit to a running Inverter.
Remove Contents from Carton
1. Remove and verify carton contents
prior to assembly. Carton contents
should contain the following:

1-877-362-4271 with the unit model
number for any missing carton contents.
3. Record date of purchase on front
cover of this manual.
Operation and Use Questions
NOTE: Parallel kit is designed for use
with two SIG2218 inverter generators.
NOTE: When parallel kit is connected, do
not connect loads to unused outlets on
each generator.
Call SIMPSON customer service at
1-877-362-4271 with questions or
concerns about equipment operation and
maintenance.
Startup
Connected to generator
Electrocution. Turn utility and
emergency power supplies to OFF
before connecting power source and
load lines. Failure to do so will result in
death or serious injury.
1.Verify SIG2218 inverter generators
are ready for operation and powered OFF.
2. Verify there is no load connected to
parallel kit output .
3. Connect the parallel kit to parallel
outlets on both generators.

4. Start first generator and
wait for green Ready LED to illuminate.
7.Set the circuit breaker switch to ON
position.
8.Connect load to parallel kit. The load
will now have power.
5.Start second generator and wait for
green Ready LED to illuminate
6.Verify both generators are in the same
mode 1. Power load OFF.
2. Unplug load from parallel kit.
3. Shutdown first generator.
4. Shutdown second generator.
Wait for LED to illuminate

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM CORRECTION
Green Ready LED not illuminating
on either generator
1. Check inverter connection
2. Refer to SIG2218 Owners manual
1. Check inverter connections.
2. Check parallel kit output connection.
3. Try start sequence again(verify inverter
generators are OFF before connecting and
starting)and verify green Ready LEDs
illuminate on both inverters.
4.Check if the circuit breaker is ON.
Load not powered

90 Days if the product is used for personal,
family or household use.
This warranty does not cover product used for rental or commercial
purposes, or any other income-producing purpose.
