Sinn Chronograph Audi design
Wir gratulieren zum Kauf dieser außergewöhnlichen Uhr aus der Audi
collection. Sie wurde in Zusammenarbeit von Audi design und dem deut-
schen Uhrenhersteller Sinn Spezialuhren entwickelt – zwei Unternehmen,
die eine hohe Affinität zu Technik und Innovation besitzen. Bei diesem auto-
matischen Chronographen trifft progressives Design auf die Leistungsstärke
und Präzision des Uhrenherstellers. Die Designsprache von Audi ist bis ins
Detail erkennbar, beispielsweise an der Struktur der Kronen oder der klaren
Gestaltung des Zifferblattes.
Das Unternehmen Sinn Spezialuhren wurde im Jahre 1961 vom deutschen
Piloten Helmut Sinn gegründet und ist auf hochwertige mechanische Uhren
spezialisiert. Die Innovationsfreudigkeit spiegelt sich in der Einführung neuer
Technologien und Werkstoffe wider. Dieser Chronograph vereint mehrere
Sinn Technologien von Fliegeruhren, die höchste Zuverlässigkeit in puncto
Zeitmessung und Funktionalität garantieren. Insbesondere zu nennen ist
hier der Magnetfeldschutz bis 80.000 A/m. Dank der nachleuchtenden

Funktionen
Aufziehen
Die Krone „C“ ist verschraubt. Krone „C“ gegen den Uhrzeigersinn entschrau-
ben, in Position „C1“ bringen und aufziehen. Zur Inbetriebnahme reichen 40
Kronenumdrehungen, um die Funktion der Uhr zu gewährleisten. Beim regel-
mäßigen Tragen übernimmt die Automatik den Aufzug. Die Krone „C“ muss
nach dem Aufziehen bzw. nach Einstellungen bitte immer wieder verschraubt
werden.
Einstellen der Zeit
Krone „C“ entschrauben, in Position „C3“ bringen und die Zeit einstellen. Um
sicherzustellen, dass das Datum um Mitternacht schaltet, drehen Sie die
Zeiger vorwärts, bis das Datum einmal schaltet. Anschließend stellen Sie die
Zeit ein. Wir empfehlen, den Zeiger über den gewünschten Minutenstrich
hinauszudrehen und auf dem Rückweg einzustellen.
Schnellkorrektur des Datums
Krone „C“ entschrauben, in Position „C2“ bringen und im Uhrzeigersinn dre-
hen. Diese Korrektur bitte nicht zwischen 21.00 und 3.00 Uhr vornehmen, da
sich die Zahnräder zur Datumsschaltung im sogenannten Eingriff befinden.
Als Folge kann das Werk beschädigt werden.

Die zweite Zeitzone
Mit der Krone „C“ kann der Zeitzonenzeiger eingestellt werden. Krone „C“ ent-
schrauben, in Position „C2“ bringen und entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn drehen.
Achten Sie beim Einstellen zwischen 21.00 und 3.00 Uhr unbedingt darauf,
dass Sie die Krone nur entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Andernfalls kann
als Folge das Werk beschädigt werden.
Chronographen-Funktion
Ihre Uhr besitzt eine Stoppfunktion. Der zentrale Sekunden-Stoppzeiger und
die kleinen Stoppzeiger für Stunden und Minuten dienen dazu, die Zeit zu
messen und festzuhalten. Drücker „A“ startet die Zeitmessung beim ersten
Drücken, durch ein zweites Drücken wird die Messung gestoppt, beim dritten
Drücken wird sie fortgesetzt. Dieser Vorgang lässt sich beliebig oft wiederho-
len. Sie können gemessene Zeiten somit aufaddieren. Drücker „B“ stellt die
Stoppzeiger wieder auf null.
Fliegerdrehring
Der Fliegerdrehring ist ein Drehring mit Minutenteilung, der sich mittels der
Krone „D“ in beide Richtungen bewegen lässt. Sie können damit – ohne den
Chronographen zu verwenden – Zeiten von bis zu einer Stunde messen, indem
das Leuchtdreieck des Drehrings an die Spitze des Minutenzeigers gestellt und
ab dann die vergehende Zeit direkt auf dem Drehring abgelesen wird.

Allgemeine Hinweise
Bitte die Uhr abspülen, wenn sie mit Meerwasser, Chemikalien oder Ähnli-
chem in Berührung gekommen ist. Wird die Uhr häufig im Wasser getragen,
empfehlen wir, die Wasserdichtheit in jährlichen Abständen überprüfen zu
lassen. Als Schutz vor Wasser und Schmutz sollte die Krone bei 3.00 Uhr
stets verschraubt sein.
Die Uhr erträgt hohe mechanische Beanspruchung und ist stoßsicher nach
DIN 8308. Gleichwohl erhöhen ständige Belastungen wie Stoß und Vibration
den Verschleiß. Bewahren Sie deshalb Ihre Uhr vor unnötigen Belastungen.
Eine sichere Aussage zur Ganggenauigkeit kann nach ca. achtwöchigem
Betrieb gemacht werden, da sich während dieser Zeit die Mechanik einläuft.
Bei Beanstandungen stellen Sie bitte den täglichen Gang über einen länge-
ren Zeitraum (z.B. eine Woche) fest. Bitte legen Sie bei Garantiefällen eine
Fehlerbeschreibung und eine Kopie der Rechnung bei. Es können keine Garan-
tieansprüche geltend gemacht werden, wenn die Störung auf unsachgemäße
Verwendung zurückzuführen ist.

Audi design Sinn chronograph
Congratulations on your purchase of this extraordinary watch from the
Audi collection. It has been developed in collaboration between Audi design
and the German watchmaker Sinn Spezialuhren – two companies with a
great affinity for engineering and innovation. This automatic self-wind
chronograph combines a progressive design with the skills and precision
of the watchmaker. The Audi design language is recognisable down to the
finest detail, for example in the structure of the crowns or the clear layout
of the watch dial.
The company Sinn Spezialuhren was founded in 1961 by the German pilot
Helmut Sinn, and specialises in sophisticated mechanical watches. The
desire for innovation is reflected in the introduction of new technologies
and materials. This chronograph combines various Sinn technologies from
pilot watches, guaranteeing maximum reliability in time measurement and
function. Especially worthy of note is the magnetic field resistance of up to
80,000 A/m. The luminous hands and indices give the Audi chronograph
optimum legibility even in the dark.

Functions
Winding the watch
Crown “C” is screwable. Release crown “C” by turning it anticlockwise. Set it
to position “C1” and wind. About 40 winds of the crown are generally enough
to ensure reliable functionality. Under normal circumstances, simply wearing
the watch every day should suffice to keep the self-winding mechanism
wound. Please take care to fasten crown “C” again after making adjustments.
Time adjustment
Release crown “C”, set it to position “C3” and set the time. To make sure that
the date changes at midnight and not at midday, turn the hands forward
until the date changes. Then set the time. Our advice is to move the hand
past the desired minute marker and then adjust it anticlockwise.
Quickset date adjustment
Release crown “C”, set it to position “C2” and turn it clockwise. Please do not
make this correction between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. as the gear wheels used for
changing the date are engaged. This could cause damage to the mechanism.

The second time zone
The time zone hand is set with crown “C”. Release crown “C”, set it to position
“C2” and turn it anticlockwise. If you are setting the watch between 9 p.m.
and 3 a.m., make sure that you only turn the crown anticlockwise. Otherwise,
the mechanism could be damaged.
Chronograph function
Your watch features a stopwatch function. The central stopwatch second
hand and the subsidiary stopwatch hands for hours and minutes are used for
measuring and recording time. The measurement starts when button “A” is
pressed once. Pressing it a second time stops measurement and pressing a
third time resumes measurement. This process can be repeated as many times
as you wish. This allows you to add up and record the cumulative time. Press
button “B” to reset the hands of the stopwatch to zero.
Pilot’s bezel
The pilot’s bezel is a ring with a minutes scale which can be turned in both
directions with crown “D”. It is used – independent of the chronograph – to
measure times of up to one hour by setting the luminescent triangle on the
bezel to the tip of the minutes hand, from which point on the time elapsed can
be read off on the bezel.

General information
Please rinse the watch off whenever it has been in contact with sea water,
chemicals or similar. If your watch is frequently worn in/under water, we
recommend having its water resistance checked at yearly intervals. As
protection against water and dirt, the crown at the 3 o’clock position should
always be screwed.
The watch is designed to withstand high levels of mechanical wear and
tear and is shock-resistant in accordance with DIN 8308. Nevertheless,
continual mechanical stress in the form of impacts or vibrations will affect
its durability. Care should therefore be taken to protect your watch from
unnecessary wear and tear.
It is only possible to judge how well the watch keeps time after it has been
in operation for approximately eight weeks, since it takes that long for the
working mechanism to become adjusted. Should you have any problems,
keep a day-to-day record of its timekeeping over a prolonged period
(e.g. a week). Should you need to place a warranty claim, please include a
description of the fault and a copy of the invoice. No warranty claims can be
processed if the malfunction is caused by improper use.

Dar cuerda
La corona “C” está enroscada. Desenrosque la corona “C” girándola en el sen-
tido contrario a las agujas del reloj, llévela hasta la posición “C1” y de cuerda.
Para la puesta en marcha bastan 40 vueltas a la corona para garantizar el
funcionamiento del reloj. Si se lleva el reloj de forma habitual, el sistema
automático se encarga de darle cuerda. Una vez se ha terminado de dar
cuerda o de realizar ajustes, la corona “C” ha de volver a enroscarse.
Ajustar la hora
Desenrosque la corona “C”, colóquela en la posición “C3” y ajuste la hora.
Para asegurarse de que la fecha cambia a media noche, gire la manecilla
hacia delante hasta que la fecha cambie una vez. A continuación ajuste la
hora. Le aconsejamos que gire la manecilla más allá de la marca del minuto
deseado y que realice el ajuste girando la manecilla hacia atrás.
Corrección rápida de la fecha
Desenrosque la corona “C”, colóquela en la posición “C2” y gírela en el sen-
tido de las agujas del reloj. No lleve a cabo esta corrección entre las 21:00
y las 3:00 horas, ya que los piñones correspondientes al cambio de fecha se
encuentran engranados. De hacerlo, el mecanismo podría resultar dañado.

El segundo huso horario
La manecilla del huso horario se ajusta con la corona “C”. Desenrosque la
corona “C”, colóquela en la posición “C2” y gírela en sentido contrario a las
agujas del reloj. Si lleva a cabo el ajuste entre las 21:00 y las 3:00 horas,
asegúrese de girar la corona sólo en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.
De lo contrario, el mecanismo podría resultar dañado.
Función de cronógrafo
Su reloj incorpora una función de cronómetro. La manecilla de cronómetro
central para segundos y las manecillas de cronómetro pequeñas para horas
y minutos sirven para medir y registrar el tiempo. El pulsador “A” inicia la
medición del tiempo con la primera pulsación, y la detiene con la segunda pul-
sación, reanudándola si se pulsa una tercera vez. Este proceso puede repetirse
cuantas veces se quiera. De este modo pueden ir sumándose los tiempos medi-
dos. El pulsador “B” vuelve a colocar la manecilla del cronómetro a cero.
Bisel giratorio de piloto
El bisel giratorio está dividido en minutos y puede girarse en ambas direc-
ciones por medio de la corona “D”. Le permite, sin necesidad de utilizar el
cronógrafo, medir tiempos de hasta una hora; para ello, coloque el triángulo
fosforescente del bisel giratorio alineado con la punta del minutero y, a partir
de ahí, podrá leer directamente en el bisel el tiempo transcurrido.
