Assembly:
1. Place machine on flat surface.
2. Attach the wire closing handle to the wire closing handle axle located
on the right side of the machine. Use the screw provided to fasten the
handle in place. (See Fig. 1.1)

comb and 3:1 wire binding machine brought to you from Sircle.

General Precautions:
1. Read the instructions carefully and thoroughly prior to using the ma-
chine.
2. Avoid punching metal objects such as staples or paper clips. This
may jam the machine.
3. Keep fingers away from the punching throat to avoid injury.
4. Empty waste tray frequently for best results.
5. Ensure that the rating plate on the machine is appropriate for your
electricity supply.

Plastic Comb
Punch:
1. Use the paper margin guide to properly align papers. Tip: To ensure
proper alignment, use a piece of scrap paper to test the punch and ad-
just if necessary. (See Fig. 1.1)
2. Use the margin depth selector on the right side of the machine to
choose the margin depth you would like for your document. For
comb sizes greater than 12mm, push margin depth control in. (See
Fig. 1.2). For comb sizes, less than 12mm, pull depth control out.
(See Fig. 1.3)
2. Switch the punch selector switch to indicate the type of punch you
will be using—either plastic or 3:1 wire. (See Fig. 1.4)
3. Insert sheets into the punch throat using the margin guide to ensure
alignment. (See Fig. 1.5)
Getting Started:
1. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
2. Turn the power switch on.

Bind:
1. Select the plastic comb most suitable for your document size. The
following table will assist you in your selection.
2. Insert the plastic comb, with the open side up, behind the metal fin-
gers of the comb spreader.
3. Pull the comb opening lever towards the back of the machine to open
the comb.
4. Thread the sheets on the plastic comb.
5. Push the comb opening handle down towards the front to the machine
to close the comb.
6. Remove the bound document.

4. Push the electric punch button located on the lower right hand side of
the machine to complete the punch. Tip: If the machine fails to com-
plete the punching process, switch off the machine to cancel the op-
eration. Turn it back on to continue.
Wire
Punch:
1. Use the paper margin guide to properly align papers. Tip: To ensure

2. Switch the punch selector switch to indicate the type of punch you
will be using—either plastic or 3:1 wire. (See Fig. 2.2)

2. Push the electric punch button located on the lower right hand side of
the machine to complete the punch. Tip: If the machine fails to com-
plete the punching process, switch off the machine to cancel the op-
eration. Turn it back on to continue.

2. Move the wire closer depth gauge until the correct wire size element
is displayed.
3. Place wire open side up on the wire hanger.
4. Thread pages onto the wire hanger. (See Fig. 3.1)
5. Lift the wire closing handle so it is in the vertical or upright position.
6. Place the document in the wire throat so that the side to be bound en-
ters first. (See Fig. 3.2)
7. Hold the document steady and pull down on the wire closing hand to
bind the document. (See Fig. 3.3)
8. Remove the bound document.
Bind:
1. Use the wire diameter guide and the wire selector guide to determine
the appropriate size wire to be used for your document. It can also be
determined using the following table.

3. Insert sheets into the punch throat using the margin guide to ensure

Emptying the Waste Tray:
1. Slide waste tray out of the front of the machine.
2. Empty waste tray contents.
3. Slide waste tray back into machine.
