1Installation
Safety First Always observe safety precautions when using any electrical appliance.
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.
When the appliance is used by or near young children or infirm persons,
close supervision is necessary, especially to ensure children do not play
with it.
Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.
Do not cover the grilles or block the entry or exhaust of airflow by
placing objects up against the refrigeration system.
Do not probe any opening.
Only use this appliance with the voltage specified on the cabinet rating
label affixed to the appliance.
Ensure the appliance has adequate ventilation as this is essential to
economical, high performance.
Be careful not to touch moving parts and hot surfaces.
For your own safety and that of others, ensure that all electrical work is
done by authorised personnel.
If the power supply flexible cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced
by an authorised service agent or similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
This appliance is not designed to be stable in motion. Use extreme
caution when moving or transporting it.
Ensure all necessary safety precautions are observed during installation
or removal of the appliance.
Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a
flammable propellant in this appliance.

Unpacking
Remove all packing material from the inside and outside of the cabinet,
including the foam base and all adhesive tape holding the cabinet
accessories.
Shelves Model HB80 is supplied with two shelves. Model HB110 is supplied with
three shelves. Remove the packing material and then position the shelves
into the cabinet at the desired heights (see Figure 1 below). The bottom
shelf on model HB80 has hooks on the back which lock the shelf in position.
The two top shelves on model HB110 have hooks on the back which lock
the shelves in position.
Positioning
Power Supply The cooler is supplied with a power cord fitted with a 3-pin plug, which exits
behind the refrigeration system. The power cord should be retrieved before
the cabinet is positioned. Ensure the power supply can be easily accessed
once the cabinet is positioned so the cabinet can be disconnected from the
power supply for cleaning and maintenance.
Ventilation Ensure adequate ventilation is provided around the cooler. The cooler
should not be recessed or enclosed in a cabinet. It is designed for free-
standing installation only. The recommended clearance on both sides and
at the back of the cabinet is 50mm. The maximum normal operating
conditions are 32°C (climatic class 5).
Location When positioning the cabinet:
Avoid direct sunlight and warm draughts etc.
Allow adequate space for the door to open fully.
Ensure the cabinet is positioned on a level surface so the door shuts
and seals correctly, and to prevent the condensate tray from
overflowing.
Levelling This cooler has a stabiliser foot located underneath the door hinge. After
final positioning, the stabiliser foot should be screwed firmly down to floor
level to stabilise the cabinet. Turn the stabiliser foot clockwise to raise the
cabinet or anti-clockwise to lower the cabinet.

2Operation
Cabinet Operation
If the cooler has been disconnected from the power supply for any reason,
allow about 10 minutes before switching it back on. This allows the
refrigeration system pressure to equalise before the system is restarted.
Before operating the cooler, ensure:
The cooler is positioned on a level surface.
The maximum operating temperature is no greater than 32°C.
There is adequate ventilation around the refrigeration system.
There is a gap of at least 50mm around the cabinet.
The plastic drain pin (included in the bag with the user manual) is placed
into the drain hole at the bottom of the cabinet (see image below). This
prevents objects from covering the drain hole.
The cabinet stabiliser foot is screwed firmly down to floor level (see
image below).
The cooler is allowed to stand for at least 30 minutes before connecting
to the power supply.
While the cooler is operating it is normal to hear gurgling sounds caused by
the flow of refrigerant when each cooling cycle ends.
Refrigeration
System
The evaporator fan (located inside the cabinet) should operate continuously
from the time the cabinet is plugged in. This may be verified by checking for
air movement inside the cabinet. The thermostat will click when the
refrigeration system cycles on and off.
Cabinet Light The cabinet interior light is controlled by the light switch next to the
thermostat knob inside the cabinet (see Figure 4 on page 9). The fluorescent
light will require a period of time to stabilise following initial start up. See
page 10 for instructions on replacing the fluorescent lamp.
Loading The cooler should be left running for 30 minutes to allow the cabinet to cool
down before loading with product. When loading the cabinet shelves with
product:
Allow air space around all the product for even cooling and efficient
operation of the cooler.
Do not exceed a maximum of 30 kg per shelf.
Do not allow products to overhang the front or rear of the shelves, as
this will affect air flow.
Do not obstruct air flow from the evaporator fan (inside the cabinet).
Do not block the drain hole inside the cabinet.

Temperature Adjustment
The storage temperature of the cooler is regulated by a thermostat located
at the back of the cabinet interior. The thermostat temperature setting is
preset at the factory and should not require adjustment.
The thermostat knob is graduated from 0 through to 6, with 1 being the
warmest and 6 being the coldest. The normal temperature controller setting
is between 2 and 3.
If further adjustment is required:
To make colder - turn the thermostat knob clockwise.
To make warmer - turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise.
Turning the knob to ‘0’ will switch the cooling system off (fan and lights stay
on).
