1 Sicurezza
SmartCAM Tempo è stato progettato tenendo in considerazione tutte le normative tecniche
di prodotto.
Si prega, comunque, di seguire scrupolosamente le seguenti istruzioni volte a garantire la
Vostra sicurezza e la sicurezza delle Vostre attrezzature:
•Proteggete l'attrezzatura da ambienti umidi.
•Evitare ogni contatto con acqua o altri liquidi
•Non utilizzare in caso di accidentale introduzione di liquidi all'interno del SmartCAM
Tempo. Il nostro ufficio tecnico è a vostra disposizione per qualsiasi informazione in
merito.
•Pulire esclusivamente tramite un panno asciutto
•Non utilizzare alimentatori differenti da quello fornito assieme al prodotto.
•In caso di guasto, la riparazione del prodotto deve essere eseguita solo da
personale qualificato ed autorizzato da SmartSystem Srl
•Utilizzare solo per lo scopo preposto
•Non rimuovere alcuna parte o procedere al disassemblaggio di SmartCAM Tempo.
Non sono presenti parti riutilizzabile dall'utente all'interno di SmartCAM Tempo.

5 Basi di funzionamento
SmartCAM Tempo è un splitter di segnale SDI con la capacità di effettuare il re-clocking
del segnale in uscita fornendo, al device connesso, un segnale rigenerato nelle
caratteristiche elettriche con lo stesso frame-rate e risoluzione di quello in ingresso.
SmartCAM Tempo è immediatamente pronto al funzionamento. E' sufficiente collegare una
fonte di energia con tensione opportuna (con qualsiasi polarità al connettore di
alimentazione) ed attendere il termine del boot del dispositivo.
6 Display principale
Il display principale di SmartCAM Tempo permette di conoscere, in un'unica schermata, le
seguenti informazioni:
•Tipologia di segnale (HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 12G-SDI
•Stato dell'equalizzatore di segnale (abilitato / disabilitato)
•Temperatura del processore di segnale
•Livello di Equalizzazione (EQ)
•Livello della Qualità del Link video (LQ)

Il tasto funzione di SmartCAM Tempo, permette 3 funzioni principali
1. Abilitazione / Disabilitazione equalizzatore di segnale
2. Flip dell'orientamento del display grafico
3. Analisi del segnale video in ingresso

7.1 Abilitazione / Disabilitazione equalizzatore di segnale
SmartCAM Tempo è dotato di un sistema di equalizzazione capace di migliorare
sensibilmente la qualità del segnale in uscita.
Per attivare questa funzione è sufficiente premere 1 volta il tasto funzione.
Nel display grafico sarà riportato lo stato dell'equalizzatore di segnale tramite icona come
di seguito riportato.

7.2 Flip dell'orientamento del display grafico
SmartCAM Tempo può essere installato con qualunque orientamento per permettere una
migliore gestione del cablaggio.
Al fine di permettere un corretto orientamento del display grafico ed eseguire un
ribaltamento dell'immagine è sufficiente premere 2 volte il tasto funzione.
Dopo circa 2 secondi, il nuovo orientamento verrà salvato in memoria come orientamento
di default.
7.3 Analisi del segnale video in ingresso
SmartCAM Tempo ha la capacità di mostrare, in modo visuale, il cosiddetto EYE-Diagram
del segnale video digitale in Ingresso.
Questa utilissima funzione permette di diagnosticare sul campo, eventuali problemi al link
video ed anche valutare la qualità dei cavi utilizzati.
Per effettuare l'analisi del segnale video, è sufficiente mantenere premuto il tasto
funzione per 2 secondi.
Al termine del processo di acquisizione, SmartCAM Tempo mostrerà direttamente sul
display i risultati dell'analisi.

8 Aggiornamento Firmware
Come ogni altro prodotto SmartSystem, anche SmartCAM Tempo può essere aggiornato
all'ultima release firmware tramite il software urner disponibile per PC e MAC.
E' sufficiente avviare il programma urner e collegare SmartCAM Tempo al PC o MAC
tramite cavo MiniUS ed alimentando il dispositivo tramite porta di alimentazione.
Il sistema automaticamente riconoscerà il vostro prodotto informandovi o meno della
possibilità di installare un nuovo aggiornamento firmware.
Durante la procedura di aggiornamento firmware non spegnere mai il prodotto prima di
aver completato il processo di upload della firmware da parte di urner.
9 Manutenzione
Non utilizzare solventi alcoolici o prodotti detergenti per la pulizia di SmartCAM Tempo. In
caso di macchie di grasso sulla superficie esterna, consigliamo l'utilizzo di carta
assorbente lievemente intrisa di acqua distillata facendo attenzione a non far entrare
liquidi all'interno del drive.
10 Smaltimento
Provvedere allo smaltimento di SmartCAM Tempo operando in conformità alle norme
vigenti, rivolgendosi agli organismi preposti e/o ad imprese specializzate nella
rottamazione di materiali metallici e/o nello smaltimento dei rifiuti.
Ai sensi dell’art. 13 del Decreto Legislativo 25 luglio 2005, n. 151"Attuazione delle Direttive
2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE e 2003/108/CE, relative alla riduzione dell'uso di sostanze
pericolose nelle apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche, nonché allo smaltimento dei
rifiuti" il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull’apparecchiatura o sulla sua
confezione indica che il prodotto alla fine della propria vita utile deve essere raccolto
separatamente dagli altri rifiuti.
La raccolta differenziata della presente apparecchiatura giunta a fine vita e' organizzata e
gestita dal produttore.
L’utente che vorrà disfarsi della presente apparecchiatura dovrà quindi contattare il
produttore e seguire il sistema che questo ha adottato per consentire la raccolta separata
dell'apparecchiatura giunta a fine vita.
L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo dell’apparecchiatura dismessa al
riciclaggio, al trattamento e allo smaltimento ambientalmente compatibile contribuisce ad
evitare possibili effetti negativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce il reimpiego e/o
riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta l’apparecchiatura.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte del detentore comporta l’applicazione delle
sanzioni amministrative previste dalla normativa vigente

merito lo smaltimento di SmartCAM Tempo

11 Garanzia
La ditta SmartSystem Srl Unipersonale, con sede in Via del Commercio, 22F, 61032 FANO
(PU) - ITALY - Proprietaria del marchio SmartSystem e dei brand ad essa collegati,
accorda una garanzia limitata territorialmente di 24 mesi sui prodotti a partire dal giorno di
consegna al cliente finale (compratore).
Nell'ambito della garanzia verranno eliminate gratuitamente eventuali deficienze di
funzionamento imputabili a difetti di fabbricazione o di materiale.
La ditta si riserva la possibilità di decidere tra l'eventualità di eliminare il difetto oppure
consegnare un nuovo prodotto al cliente.
Eventuali reclami dovranno essere comunicati dal cliente, subito dopo l'accertamento del
difetto, dietro presentazione della scheda di garanzia, debitamente compilata, oppure a
titolo sostitutivo, del contratto di acquisto del primo compratore.
La garanzia scade dopo 24 mesi; non verrà prolungata né dalla presentazione di un
reclamo né da eventuali adempimenti a posteriori.
Dalla garanzia sono esclusi eventuali danni causati da un uso improprio e/o errato
dell'attrezzatura, da cariche statiche oppure danni meccanici.
La garanzia non ha più valore in caso di riparazioni o interventi da parte del compratore e
di terzi non autorizzati e di modifiche arbitrarie della scheda di garanzia.
Le riparazioni potranno essere effettuate solo da persone o punti espressamente
autorizzati dal costruttore stesso.

1 Safety
SmartCAM Tempo has been designed considering all the technical regulations concerning
the product.
Please, carefully read the safety instructions and retain for future reference.
•Protect your equipment from wet environments.
•Avoid any contact with water or other liquids.
•Never use in case of accidental introduction of liquids into SmartCAM Tempo. Our
technical department is at your disposal for any information about it.
•Clean only with a dry cloth.
•Do not use a power supply different from the one provided with the product.
•In case of failure, the SmartCAM Tempo must be repaired only by qualified staff,
authorized by SmartSystem Srl.
•Use SmartCAM Tempo just for its own function.
•Do not remove any part or disassembly the SmartCAM Tempo. There are no
reusable parts in the SmartCAM Tempo

5 Working principle
SmartCAM Tempo is an SDI signal splitter with the ability to re-clock the output signal by
providing, to the connected device, a signal regenerated in electrical characteristics with
the same frame-rate and resolution as the input one.
SmartCAM Tempo is immediately ready for operation. It is sufficient to connect an energy
source with a suitable voltage (with any polarity on the power connector) and wait for the
device to boot up.
6 Main Display
The main display of SmartCAM Tempo allows you to know, in a single screen, the
following information:
•Signal Type (HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 12G-SDI)
•Signal equalizer status (enabled / disabled)
•Signal processor temperature
•Equalization Level (EQ)
•Video Link Quality Level (LQ)
7 Function Button
The function key of SmartCAM Tempo, allows 3 main functions
1. Enabling / Disabling signal equalizer
2. Flip of graphic display orientation
3. Analysis of the input video signal

7.1 Enabling / Disabling signal equalizer
SmartCAM Tempo is equipped with an equalization system capable of significantly
improve the quality of the output signal.
To activate this function, simply press the function key once.
The graphic display will show the status of the signal equalizer via the icon as shown
below.

7.2 Flip of graphic display orientation
SmartCAM Tempo can be installed in any orientation to allow you for a better cable
management.
In order to allow correct orientation of the graphic display and to reverse the image,
simply press the function key twice.
After approximately 2 seconds, the new orientation will be saved in memory as the default
orientation.
7.3 Analysis of the input video signal
SmartCAM Tempo has the ability to visually display the so-called EYE-Diagram of the
input digital video signal.
This very useful function allows you to diagnose any video link problems in the field and
also evaluate the quality of the cables used.
To analyze the video signal, simply hold down the function key for 2 seconds.
At the end of the acquisition process, SmartCAM Tempo will show the results of the
analysis directly on the display.

8 Firmware Update
Like any other SmartSystem product, SmartCAM Tempo can also be updated to the latest
firmware release through the urner software available for PC and MAC.
Just start the urner program and connect SmartCAM Tempo to your PC or MAC via a
miniUS cable powering it via standard power port.
The system will automatically recognize your product and inform you whether or not it is
possible to install a new firmware update.
During the firmware update procedure, never turn off the product before Burner
completes the firmware upload process.
9 Maintenance
Do not use alcohol of other solvents nor detergents to clean your SmartCAM Tempo. To
clean metal components, we recommend you to use a paper towel lightly soaked in
distilled water. Make sure no water drops reaches the inside components of SmartCAM
Tempo.
10 Disposal
Dispose of your SmartCAM Tempo in accordance with current regulations. Address to
special authorities or companies in charge of scrapping metallic materials and waste
disposal.
Pursuant to Article 13 of the Italian Legislative Decree no. 151 of 25 July 2005,
”Implementation of Directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and 2003/108/EC regarding the
reduction in use of dangerous substances in electrical and electronic equipment as well as
waste disposal”.Products bearing the barred dustbin symbol must be disposed of
separately from other waste.
The user must therefore dispose of the product in question at suitable recycling centers for
electronic and electro-technical waste, or he/she must turn the used product over to the
retailer when buying a new equivalent product, on a one-to-one basis.
Separate waste collection allows used equipment to be recycled, treated and disposed of
without negative consequences for the environment and health, and it allows the materials
in the equipment to be recycled.
Illegal dumping of the product by the user entails application of the administrative
sanctions stated in the Italian Legislative Decree No. 22/1997 (Article 50 et seq of the
Italian Legislative Decree No. 22/1997).

11 Warranty
SmartSystem Unipersonale Srl headquarter is located in Via del Commercio, 22F, 61032
FANO(PU), ITALY. Smartsystem main brand and all the other brands associated with it are
property of Smart-System Srl Unipersonale.
Your SmartSystem equipment is guaranteed against any manufacturing or material defects
for 24 months from the date of delivery to the customer. Warranty will cover any
functioning issues related to manufacturing or material faults.
In this case, the company reserves the right to decide whether eliminating the defect or
providing the customer with a new product.
Any claims due to manufacturing or materials faults must be communicated by the
customer, upon presentation of the warranty card, properly completed, or of a proof of
purchase.
The warranty, which will expire after 24 months, will not be extended either by a complaint,
or by subsequent executions. Damage caused by accident, misuse, do-it-yourself repairs
or modification, repair by unauthorized service center, static charges or mechanical
damages is not covered by the warranty.
Furthermore, warranty won't be valid neither in case the warranty card is arbitrary
modified.
Repairs must be made only by authorized service centres.
