Caution
➀Installer must make sure SMS CL V is positively and securely attached,
and appropriate fasteners are used.
➁Before installing, check to make sure all parts of the mount are there.
➂Assembly hardware is included; mounting fittings are not included with
the product for reasons of safety, since the properties and bearing
strength of walls/ceilings are specific for each case. Suitable mounting
fittings must be selected based on the material of the wall/ceiling. It is
the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the wall/ceiling can
support at least four times the combined weight of the screen/projector
and bracket.
➃The maximum weight of a screen/projector to be used with the SMS
CL V is 12 kg, or 26 lb.
➄Make sure all screws and bolts are tightened before allowing the mount
to bear the full weight of the projector.
➅Mount projector before hooking up to electrical and other cables.
➆When making adjustments, make sure projector is firmly supported.
➇All assembly screws require Metric Allen wrench (included).

➀Pre-assemble upper column (A) to celiing plate (B) using provided
hardware.
➁Use ceiling plate to mark mounting hole positions on ceiling.
➂Drill mounting holes. ➃Attach ceiling plate and upper column to ceiling.

Adjustment
Some models of the CL V have several points of adjustment. For ranges
of adjustment according to model, see charts below. Adjustments are infinite
within range. Adjustments can be made with the projector attached to the
mount; built-in safety features will prevent accidents by “catching” the lower
section before it drops out of the unit.
➂On adjustable models, if appropriate, run wiring down through large slots in
mounting plate.
➃Run wiring along cable guides for hookup to projector. Place cable covers
in cable guides, then snap on side covers.
➄Attach lower column cover.

➁ Insert and adjust threaded pipe so that, when they are flush with the
surface of the projector, the universal bracket is horizontally level.

➀ Place the Universal Projector Mounting Bracket over projector mounting
holes. If bracket arms cannot reach all mounting holes, loosen bracket by
unscrewing centerpiece, and replacing bracket arms with longer size arms
(included).
Please Note: Open ends of bracket arms should be at least flush with the
outer edge of the centerpiece; if open ends are not flush, use longer arms.
Please Note: Universal Bracket adds a minimum of 3" to overall height.

➂ Insert and tighten screws (provided) appropriate for projector mounting
holes.
Please Note: Do not overtighten screws into projector. If screw is hitting the
end of the threaded hole, add more washers at the top of the screw.
➃ Adjust the centerpiece so that it is above the projector’s center of gravity,
and tighten centerpiece. To determine the projector's center of gravity,
place a small level on the projector. Hold the projector by the top of the
bracket nut and make sure the projector hangs level. Adjust the Univer-
sal Projector Bracket by sliding the centerpiece along the arms until the
projector hangs level, then tighten the centerpiece.
➄ Tighten lower locking nut.
➅ Place the mount ball joint into the slot in the nut.
➉ Adjust height and tighten setscrews.
➆ Tighten the nut.
➇ Tighten the upper locking nut.
➈ Rotate projector into position.
