2. Safety
2.1 WARNING
Whenever you ride the Flowpad you risk serious injury or death from collisions, falls or loss of control. To ride safely, YOU MUST READ
AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS IN THIS MANUAL.
This manual includes basic operational instructions for the Flowpad. It cannot cover all situations where injury or death may occur.
OPERATORS MUST USE GOOD JUDGMENT AND COMMON SENSE TO DETECT AND AVOID HAZARDS AND DANGERS that they may
encounter when riding the Flowpad. The Flowpad operator must use the vehicle according to the local given traffic law and is not
allowed to drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication treatment.
By using the Flowpad, you accept the inherent risks of operating this product.
Please do not charge the battery when unattended and disconnect the battery from the power source when it is fully charged.
2.2 RISK OF INJURY
Whenever you ride the Flowpad, you risk injury from loss of control, collisions and falls. It is your responsibility to learn how to safely
ride the Flowpad in order to reduce the risks of riding.
This manual is designed to help you learn safe riding techniques.
NO ONE SHOULD USE THE FLOWPAD UNLESS THEY HAVE READ THROUGH THE MANUAL.

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
Review all the material frequently to help remind you of proper riding techniques and safety procedures.
2.3 Attention!
There are risks to riding or driving any vehicle. This one is no exception. Remember when you learned to ride a bike? You probably
started in a safe location without traffic and had somebody help you learn. You started slowly. This technique applies to riding a
Hoverboard as well. If you carefully follow all the instructions and warnings in this manual, you should be able to teach yourself to
ride. Avoid using the Flowpad if you feel tired, sleepy or you have an unstable health condition.
Please ensure this manual is read and understood before you ride and do pay extra attention when riding.
1. Always check the battery charge before using. Do not ride when the battery is low, as indicated by a blinking green light or a
solid red light. This may cause the board to stop and therefore cause you to fall.
2. Check local laws and regulations to see where and how you may use your Flowpad legally. Follow all applicable laws for
vehicles and pedestrians.
3. Avoid obstacles and slippery surfaces, which could result in a loss of balance or traction and cause a fall.
4. Do not exceed the maximum weight of 220 pounds (100 kilograms) –including backpacks and other items that might be
carried. Exceeding the weight limit could injure the rider and damage the board.
5. The Flowpad should not be used by small children. Parents should judge if the child has the required coordination, ability and
judgement to use the Flowpad properly.
6. Do not lift it offthe ground when it is turned on. Do not turn on in mid air. This will cause the wheels to spin freely, which
could result in injury to yourself or cause damage to things around you.
WARNING!

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
7. Do not modify your Flowpad. Modifications could interfere with operating and could result in serious injury and/or damage.
Modifications void it’s Limited Warranty.
8. The Flowpad balances by accelerating in response to your forward-leaning motion. If you lean too far forward, the motor will
not be able to catch up with you and you may fall. When you reach maximum speed, it will tilt backward. DO NOT attempt to
accelerate further or you will fall.
9. Never operate any Hoverboard, including this one, while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
3. Getting Started

3.2 Charging the Battery
Your package comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery pack. Before the first ride, you must fully charge the battery. Be sure to charge
the battery in a clean, dry location. Plug one end of the power cord into the board. Plug the other end into a grounded AC outlet. The
red charging light on the charger unit will turn on. The charger may take up to 3 hours to complete its charge. The red light on the
charger will turn green once it is finished.
Please do not charge the battery when unattended and disconnect the battery from the power source when it is fully charged.
WARNING!

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
3.3 Battery Level
An LED indicator is used to indicate battery level. When the light is green, it means that it has enough power. When the light turns
red, you should charge it as soon as possible. Please check the power level before usage to ensure that there is enough power for the
return trip. You may want to charge it every time after use.
When power level is lower than 15%, the LED indicator will flicker and the buzzer will sound.
Sustained range will decrease during winter, because the battery performance decreases quickly in cold conditions. In -15℃, for
example, battery performance will decrease by about half in comparison to room temperature.
WARNING: the Hoverboard will notify you when the battery charge is dangerously low by slowing down and shaking while you are
riding. If these warnings occur, immediately slow down and safely step off. Turn the unit off. Do not attempt to ride again until the
battery is recharged.
3.4 Temperature requirements
Please always comply with the following requirements:
Situation
Temperature requirements
While in use
-10°C to 55°C
While charging
0°C to 45°C
During storage
10°C to 30°C
3.5 Your weight must be over 15kg
In order to guarantee your children’s safety, everyone who rides must be over 33 pounds (15kg) in weight. If the driver’s weight is
lower than 15kg, it will shake automatically until he/she steps down. Do not exceed the maximum weight of 220 pounds (100
kilograms) –including backpacks and other items that might be carried.

4. Riding Guide
4.1 Preparation
When you want to start your first ride, please wear a comfortable casual or athletic outfit. Wear flat shoes and in addition we strongly
suggest you to wear protective equipment such as a helmet and knee protection. Please bring the hoverboard to a spacious area and
ensure that there are not any significant obstacles.
4.2 Steps to Riding
1. Set it on the ground and turn the power on. It can face either direction. The green light on the top of the unit will light up. Put
your dominant foot on the platform, next to the wheel. Use your foot to level the platform and activate the balancing system.
The balancing system will not activate until the platform is level.
2. With one foot on one platform stand up straight. Place your other foot on the other end of the platform.
3. Shift your body weight gradually forward to pick up speed. Do not lunge forward.
4. Shift your body weight backward to slow down or stop. If you continue to lean back, you will be able to travel backward.
5. To turn left, slightly tilt your right foot forward. To turn right, slightly tilt your left foot forward.
6. To rotate in one spot, slightly tilt one foot forward and the other foot backward.
7. When you are ready to get off, slow down, stop and step off backwards with one foot first, then with the other. Turn it off. If
you do not turn it off, it will stay on for 5 minutes allowing you to step on and go again without engaging the on/off switch. It
will shut off automatically after 5 minutes.
REMEMBER: Do not lift it off the ground when it is turned on. Do not turn on it in mid-air.

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
IMPORTANT: The top speed is 6.2 mph (10 km/h). When you approach the maximum speed, it will try to prevent you from
accelerating further. It will tilt back in order to shift your weight backward. You may feel that you are being 'pushed' back or that you
cannot make it go any faster. Do not continue leaning or bending forward to try and increase your speed or you will fall.
4.3 Terrain and Reminders
1. It is intended for indoors or use on smooth, flat surfaces. However, to prevent loss of traction, you must always be careful
when riding and learn to identify and avoid slippery and wet surfaces, loose materials, slopes, potholes and other obstacles.
2. Their wheels must be able to grip the ground for you to stay upright. Slips occur when the rider loses traction, potentially
causing loss of control and a fall. Abrupt maneuvers and riding over slippery surfaces, bumps, and loose objects and materials,
may cause it to lose traction.
3. Driving on rainy and snowy day is strictly forbidden.

5. Maintenance and Warranty
5.1 Storage
Please store it in a dry place. If left unused, recharge the battery every two months to maintain the longevity of the battery.
5.2. Repairs
Flowpads can only be repaired with original spare parts from the licence supplier or seller. Opening up, disassembling or modifying the
vehicle with non licensedor non original parts will invalidate the warranty.
5.3 Calibration
The gyrosensor of your Flowpad occasionally needs to be calibrated. The following situations are indicative of that:
The Flowpad reacts faster on one side than on the other
You have to tilt forward or backwards in order for your Flowpad to stand still
The stability indicator with the ring in the middle is glowing red when you stand on your Flowpad
The steering does not react or reacts differently than previously experienced
In order to calibrate your Flowpad you must first turn it off and put it in a horizontal position. The use of a mechanic’s level is
recommended in order to ensure the horizontal position of your device. Turn your Flowpad on and keep the on-button pressed until
the device makes a sound and the front lights flash 5 times. Then you can turn the Flowpad off and on again. The gyrosensor is now
calibrated. Repeat this process in case the problem reoccurs. You can find a video on how to calibrate your Flowpad on
www.youtube.com.
