TONE CONTROL
Bass sound can be increased through the control panel of the sound box. To do so, use the X-BASS button. Note that different signal sources and
different volume levels require different settings. Otherwise, the sound quality may deteriorate.
● The operation of controls may vary depending on the function used.
● Settings of the external device influence sound quality to a great extent. It is recommended to only adjust the tone on the sound box instead.
PHONE AND TABLET SUPPORT
Follow the screen and upcoming tracks while standing behind the DJ sound box controlling the keyboard. The recess on top of the device is a universal
solution. Before use, ensure that your mobile phone or tablet fits securely into the recess. The secure holding of all mobile devices is not guaranteed. Various
protective covers may affect secure fitting. Ensure charging of the mobile device as necessary. Do not use the USB socket on the back for this purpose.
WIRELESS BT CONNECTION
The device can be paired with other devices using the BT (Bluetooth) communication protocol, within a range of up to 10 metres. After pairing, music
can be played from mobile phones, tablets, notebooks or other similar devices. With a short pressing of the INPUT button, or using the BT direct
button, select BT functionality. In the area under the button, the LED by the BT mark will either start flashing or light up continuously. Place the device
to be paired nearby and in accordance with the user instructions of the given device, locate the nearby devices with a wireless BT connection, including
this sound box. Pair the devices. After successful pairing, the flashing BT LED will be lit continuously. You can then listen to the desired program on the
sound box. The application of the playback device (e.g. mobile phone) can be remotely controlled in general using the + / – / buttons on the control
panel. The ideal signal source of the device is either a tablet or a mobile phone. These can be fitted into the recess on top of the sound box.
● A single sound box can be paired with one BT device at a time.
● In case wireless connection is lost, keep pressing the INPUT or BT button as necessary until pairing mode is reactivated. If necessary, switch
the sound box or BT mode off and back on again on the mobile device.
● If a phone call is received on the connected mobile phone while listening to music, music playback is paused. Start playback after the conversation
if it is not automatically resumed.
● The actual range depends on the other device and the environmental conditions. (e.g. walls, human bodies, other electrical appliances,
movement...)
● Abnormal operation or noise may be caused by nearby electrical appliances, this does not indicate a malfunction of the device!
● Abnormal operation may be caused by the specific characteristics of the external device, this does not indicate a malfunction of the equipment!
The BT function may occasionally be limited depending on the external device.
● TWS mode ( button): pairing of two equivalent type sound boxes with the same BT name with one another and a mobile phone. In this case,
the two sound boxes are able to play the right and left sound channels in a wireless stereo sound system. Set both sound boxes in BT mode,
after normally connecting one of them to a mobile phone. Then press the TWS button until a sound signal is heard; pairing is successful.
USING THE RADIO
Pull out the antenna and select FM radio mode using the button. The LED indicator light by the FM mark should be lit. To start automatic tuning and
storage press and hold for 3 seconds the button on the control panel. After setting is complete, the device will play the first radio station found. Select
other set radio stations with a short pressing of the + / – step buttons. Pressing and holding the buttons longer will control the volume.
● The search will stop if it detects changing signal strength - this does not always mean a radio station has been found.
● The reception of the radio depends largely on where it is being used and the current reception conditions.
● Do not place large metal objects or electrical equipment near the device!
● Carefully unplug the telescopic antenna on the back and set it towards the direction of best reception. The positioning of the equipment also affects
the quality of reception.
MP3/WMA/WAV/APE/FLAC PLAYBACK FROM USB STORAGE DEVICES
The player is ready to play when the device is switched on. Carefully insert the USB storage device and the device will automatically change to USB
mode and start playback. When necessary, use the button to activate the function.
To start playback press the button, but playback will also start automatically when the external device is inserted. You can use the same button to pause
playback (PAUSE) or to select the desired programme using the + / – step buttons. Pressing and holding down the latter buttons will control the volume.
● When power is turned on, playback starts with the last played programme.
● The recommended file system for the memory: FAT32. Do not use an NTFS formatted memory unit!
● If the device does not emit sound, or it does not recognise the USB storage device, remove and insert the external device and select the desired
function again using the INPUT button. Switch the device off and on again if necessary.
● Only remove the external storage device after selecting a different playback source using the button, or after the device is turned off.
Otherwise, the data may be damaged. Do NOT remove the connected external device during playback.
● The USB device can only be inserted in one direction. If it gets stuck, turn it over and try again; do not force it! Do not touch the contacts with
your hands!
● Take care not to damage devices projecting from the device!
● Abnormal operation may be caused by the specific characteristics of the backup storage; this does not indicate that the device is malfunctioning!
● Do not charge devices (e.g. mobile phones) from the USB socket!
WIRED AUDIO INPUTS
The following input options are available for the connection of external devices with a headphone or audio output jack to the sound box:
MIC-1, MIC-2: ∅6.3mm socket for hand-held microphones (not included)
LINE IN: ∅3.5mm socket for receiving the output of an external headphone or LINE OUT output (mobile phone, tablet, PC, multimedia player, musical
instrument, CD/DVD…). This input can be activated with the button, when the LED by the LINE IN mark is lit.
● The LINE IN socket has a concealed RESET button, which can be pressed using a blunt (broken) tooth-pick. In case of irregular operation, press
the RESET button to return to factory settings.
● The sound quality available depends on the quality of the audio signal provided by the external device and its volume and tone settings.
● It is recommended to turn off the equalizer on the playback device and only use the tone setting of the sound box (X-BASS).
