•Static—Configurestheapplianceforanetworkthat
usesstaticIPaddresses.Recommended.
•DHCP—ConfigurestheappliancetorequestIPsettings
fromaDHCPserverinyournetworkorontheInternet.

•PPPoE—Point‐to‐PointProtocoloverEthernet(PPPoE)
istypicallyusedwithaDSLmodem.IfyourInternet
ServiceProvider(ISP)requiresdesktopsoftwarewitha
usernameandpassword,selectNATwithPPPoEmode.
• PPTP—Point‐to‐PointTunnelingProtocol(PPTP)isused

steadilylit,theSuperMassive9800applianceisreadyfor
configuration.Thistypicallyoccurswithinafewminutesof
turningonthepower.
IftheTestorAlarmLEDsremainlitaftertheSuperMassive
9800hascompletedpoweringon,restarttheapplianceby
disconnectingthepower,waiting1minute,andthen
connectingthepoweragain.
