SonicWall® NSsp 12000 SSD Hard Drive
Replacement and Installation
This document provides instructions for removing and installing a
replacement hard drive in your SonicWall NSsp 12000 network
security appliance.
A replacement hard drive can be inserted into either one of the two
drive slots on the back of your SonicWall NSsp 12000 appliance.
Removing the Defective Hard Drive from the
Appliance
To remove a defective hard drive from the SonicWall NSsp 12000,
complete the following steps:
1 Disconnect power from the appliance.
2 Remove the tamper seal.
3 Insert the SSD Drive tray key into the SSD drive tray lock, turn the
key clockwise to unlock the SSD drive tray.
4 Press the square button with the orange circle on the defective
drive to pop-out the drive handle.
5 Grasp the drive handle and pull the drive straight out to remove it
from the slot.
Installing a New SSD Hard Drive into the Appliance
To install a new SSD Module, complete the following steps:
1 Remove the new hard drive from the replacement shipping
package.
2 Pop open the drive handle on the new hard drive by pressing the
square button with the orange circle on the drive.
3 Insert the new drive into the empty slot, label side up with the
handle sticking out.
4 Press the drive firmly into place to seat the connectors, and then
close the handle.

Pour retirer un disque dur défectueux de l'appareil SonicWall NSsp
12000, suivez les étapes suivantes :
1 Débrancher l’appareil.
2 Enlevez le sceau de sécurité.
3 Insérez la clé du plateau de disque SSD dans le verrou du plateau
de disque SSD et tournez la clé dans le sens des aiguilles d'une
montre pour déverrouiller le plateau de disque SSD.
4 Appuyez sur le bouton carré avec un cercle orange situé à la
gauche du disque défectueux pour faire sortir la poignée du
disque.
5 Saisissez la poignée du disque et tirez ce dernier droit vers l'arrière
pour le retirer de son logement.
Installation d'un nouveau disque SSD dans
l'appareil
Pour installer un nouveau SSD Module, suivez les étapes suivantes :
1 Retirez le nouveau disque dur de son emballage.
2 Appuyez sur le bouton carré avec un cercle orange situé sur le
disque pour faire sortir la poignée du nouveau disque.
3 Insérez le nouveau disque dans le logement vide, avec l'étiquette
vers le haut et la poignée en saillie hors de l'appareil.
4 Poussez le disque fermement pour que les connecteurs se mettent
en place, puis fermez la poignée.

Uhrzeigersinn, um den SSD-Festplattenschacht zu entsperren.
4 Drücken Sie die Quadrat-Taste mit dem Orangen Kreis auf der
rechten Seite des fehlerhaften Laufwerks Pop-out-der Griff des.
5 Fassen Sie den Griff des und ziehen Sie das Laufwerk gerade
heraus, um es aus dem Steckplatz heraus.
WARNING: The NSsp 12000 Hard Drive is not hot swappable.
Power down the appliance before removing or installing the
hard drive.
WARNING: Do NOT insert anything except the SSD Module into
the appliance slot.

Installation einer Neuen Festplatte in das Gerät
Um eine neue Festplatte zu installieren, führen Sie die folgenden
Schritte aus:
1 Entfernen Sie die neue Festplatte aus den Versand Paket.
2 Pop öffnen Sie den Laufwerk-Griff auf die neue Festplatte durch
Drücken der Quadrat-Taste mit dem Orangen Kreis auf der rechten
Seite des Laufwerks.
3 Legen Sie das neue Laufwerk in den leeren Steckplatz, bedruckten
Seite nach oben mit dem Griff herausragen.
4 Drücken Sie das Laufwerk fest einrastet, die Anschlüsse zu setzen,
und schließen Sie dann das Handle.
