Our sculpted eers™Custom-Molded Earphones leverage an
electroacoustics design that uses tuned dynamic speakers to ensure a
high quality frequency response in the case of the PCS-100 (single driver
with enhanced bass), or a premium dual balanced armature speaker with
crossover for exceptional sound quality of the PCS-200. sculpted eers™
delivers unparalleled isolation from ambient noise and excellent acoustic
coupling with the ear for an enhanced listening experience.

Welcome to the SonoFit™
Custom Fitting Experience
Everything you need to create your sculpted eers™is included
in this kit.
Once you start the process, you will be assisted through 3
quick and easy steps, and will have custom-molded earphones
in just minutes.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to find an Animator as they will assist you in
the custom fitting process to ensure a perfect fit. Animators are
available on-site at the store you made your purchase or go online
to www.sculptedeers.com and find the Animator’s Section for
instructions.
The following pages allow you to follow each step along with
your Animator.
Let’s get started!

Step 1
Getting Positioned
The Animator will active your SonoFit™ System
to start the process. Then, the system will be
gently positioned on your head and adjusted to
your ears using the adjustable band.
Make sure the earpiece feels deeply inserted,
centered and comfortable. Your Animator is
there to ensure the fitting system is optimally
positioned on your head before the shaping
process begins.
Once the earpieces feel comfortable, let
the Animator know and you will be ready
to start shaping.

Step 2
Start Shaping
This step will only take 4 minutes.
To start the molding process, your Animator will
flip the start tab on each side. Once you hear each
click, your sculpted eers™will begin to shape.
Note: You may feel the expansion in your
ears for the first 30-45 seconds. It may
feel strange at first but don’t worry, it’s perfectly
normal.
For the next 4 minutes, sit still and relax.
• Do not move your jaw.
• Keep mouth neutral and slightly opened.
IMPORTANT: Movement of the head and
jaw may affect the quality of the fit. It is
very important to stay still.

About the
Shaping Process
Custom-molded earphones are
made possible by Sonomax’s
patented earpiece expansion-
system. A soft and completely
sealed silicone bladder, that
during the shaping process,
comfortably expands the
earpiece to the exact shape of
your ear canal. This technology
enables you to get professional,
custom-fitted earbuds in just
4 minutes.
During the shaping process,
silicone from the SonoFit™
System only flows within the
hermetically sealed bladder of the earpiece. Do not worry, NOTHING
ever touches your ear other than the earpieces’ soft, hypoallergenic
bladder. The silicone bladder has been designed to be malleable to
conform to the most complex ear canal geometries, yet strong enough
to hold over 12 times the maximum volume of silicone used in the
SonoFit™ System.

Step 3
Your eers™Are Done!
Time’s up! Now you can remove your fitting system.
You will get to see the unique shape of your
earbud. Everyone’s ear canal shape is unique
and different, like fingerprints.
Your Animator will now complete your new
earphone setup by removing the earphones
out of the fitting system and connecting on the
faceplates.
Your custom-molded earphones are ready
to take home!
Finally, let your Animator show you how to wear
and care for your new earphones so you know how
to get that perfect acoustic seal, and hear music
the way it’s meant to be heard!

How to Care for Your
sculpted eers™
Taking good care of your sculpted eers™ will make them last longer
and ensure excellent sound quality.
1. Keep earphones as clean and dry as possible.
2. To clean earbuds, wipe with damp cloth, and mild soap or antiseptic
wipe, NEVER immerse in water.
3. If dirt builds up in the soundbore, pinch or clean out but not using
a sharp object that might damage your earbud.
4. Protect your earbuds by loosely wrapping wires around hand to avoid
tangling and store them in pouch provided.
5. Do not expose earphones to extreme temperatures.

How to Wear Your
sculpted eers™
The earphone faceplates are labeled with
an “L” to indicate the left earphone and
an “R” to indicate the right.
For a perfect seal you can use the water
based fitting lubricant provided with the
kit. Make sure to avoid the soundbore of
the earpiece.

Simply put the lubricant (or some water
droplets) on your finger to wet your ear canal
prior to insertion.
Slide the earhook over your ear. The wire
should run behind your ear.

gently twist toward your nose and remove.

Frequently Asked Questions
SAFETY CONCERNS
Q: Can I get fitted if I have an ear infection?
A: If you are experiencing ear pain/infection, have had mastoid surgery,
currently wear ear tubes or have a perforated eardrum, please contact
a medical practitioner before using this product.
Q: Is it safe to insert the fitting bladder in my ear?
A: Our patented earpiece system was developed under the advisement of
our medical board consisting of Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists (ENT).
Our earbuds reach no deeper than the medically safe outer 1/3 portion
of the ear canal, or in other words, these earbuds reach no deeper than
the disposable foam earplugs that millions of industrial workers
use everyday.
Q: Will the liquid silicone flow into my ear?
A: During the shaping process, nothing ever touches the ear other than the
hermetically sealed bladder of the earpiece. The safety of the product
is thoroughly tested, including the strength of the bladder which can be
expanded to over 12 times the volume of silicone that is contained in the
fitting system. Sonomax has been using this in-ear expansion technology
in its custom-molded hearing protection over the last 10 years, and there
are now over 100,000 users of this technology in the form of the Sonomax
hearing protector.

Q: Should I be concerned about allergies to silicone?
A: We use only medical grade hypoallergenic silicone for our custom-
molded earbuds. It is the same silicone that is certified for use in medical
implants. You know your allergy history best, so if you are concerned, then
you should speak with your doctor regarding your allergies before you use
this product.
HOW IT WORKS
Q: What does it feel like to get fitted? Will it hurt?
A: No, getting custom tted will not hurt at all. You may feel the expansion of
the earpiece in your ears for the first 30-45 seconds. It may feel strange
at first but don’t worry, it’s perfectly normal! As the earpiece takes on the
shape of your ear canal, you experience less and less noise from the outside
world coming in — some people describe it as a Zen experience.
Q: How do I know if my earphones were fitted properly?
A: If your earphones feel comfortable and seal your ear-canal so you are
listening at safe levels, you have a successful fit.
Q: Why do I need the over-the-ear loop?
A: The ergonomically-shaped earloops provide maximum security for
maintaining the in-ear position and acoustic seal of your earphones
during extremely active performance. The earloop is also beneficial in
attenuating sound of wire rubbing against clothing which is typically
experienced when the ear is occluded (acoustically sealed). The wire
noise is known as
microphonics .

Q: Can I get more bass sound?
A: A snug seal will greatly enhance bass response, so be sure that your
sculpted eers™are properly positioned. Use lubricant and don’t be afraid
to give them that extra little rotate/wiggle and gentle push-in to get that
desired snug seal.

desired response
Q: Now that I have my sculpted eers™, can I wear them right away?
A: Yes. Once your sculpted eers™are complete you can begin to use them
right away.
Note: Your ears most likely have never worn custom-molded earbuds
before. Custom buds will be the most comfortable earbuds you have ever
owned, but you will need to break them in, just like a new pair of shoes.
For the first week, wear your earphones for only a short period and
gradually extend the time. By the end of the week, you should be able to
enjoy your earphones for extended periods without any discomfort.

Q: How do I store my earphones?
A: Simply put your faceplates back to back and then gently wrap the cord
around your fingers. When the cord is wrapped, place in the pouch
provided to store neatly or travel with.
Q: I really like the fit, but I hear myself when I walk or eat, is this normal?
A: Yes, this is normal. The effect is called Occlusion Effect . This effect occurs
when the ear canal is acoustically sealed, vibrations like talking and
chewing no longer escape through an open ear canal—simply put you
hear them more. Your sculpted eers™ are designed to seal your ear canal
from outside noise, thus filtering out louder external sounds and enabling
you to hear your music better and more clearly.
USE + CARE
Q: Is it okay to use my earphones in all temperature and
environmental conditions?
A: Yes, sculpted eers™are designed for active performance, at the gym or
outdoors, rain or sunshine. However, sculpted eers™ earbuds are NOT
waterproof so please do not wear while swimming or drop them in water.
Q: Where can I get more earphone lubricant?
A: You can use any water-based lubricant on your earphones.
Some people simply use just water droplets or even saliva.
