Safety Instructions
zCheck the laws and regulations on the use of mobile phones and
handsfree equipments in areas you intend to use.
zAs much as possible, do not manipulate the buttons of the device
while driving.
zDo not expose the device to direct sunlight especially on the
dashboard of car in hot summer as it may cause product deformation
and even battery explosion. For safety, store the device in glove or
console box when not in use.
zWhen cleaning the device, do not use any type of abrasive pad,
scouring powder or solvents as these may render the finish dull
permanently.
zUse only designated car charger included in package to charge the
device.
zWhen using the device for the first time, charge the battery fully to
optimize battery life.
zDo not use in places like hospitals, airplanes etc. where use of
electronic devices is prohibited.
zDo not expose the device to extremes of temperature, moisture and
vibrations.
zRisk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

Introduction
sonorix A5 is a premium Bluetooth TTS car kit for handsfree operations at its best. It functions
as 'Car Handsfree Kit' or 'Portable Speaker' when linked to Bluetooth phones supporting A2DP,
Headset and Handsfree profiles.
A5 integrates TTS (Text-To–Speech) function not to mention the various useful handsfree
functions and allows you to listen to music saved in your phone. A5 will provide you with
maximum comfort and satisfaction for all of your handsfree needs whether you use the device
in car, outdoor or in office.

Charging the Battery
zWhen battery voltage drops below 3.4V, LED indicator will flash red every 5 seconds with
speaker tone generated every 30 seconds followed by voice prompt “Battery Low”.
zWhen battery voltage drops below 3.2V, A5 will automatically power off.
zTo charge the battery, insert the charger into cigar jack input of car and then plug the mini
USB end into USB port of A5.
zDuring charging, the LED indicator will light up red and when fully charged, the red LED
indicator will turn off.
Switching the A5 ON/OFF
zTo switch on A5, press and hold MFB for 3 seconds until LED indicator turns on blue.
Speaker tone will be generated followed by voice prompt “Power On”.
zTo switch off A5, press and hold MFB for 6 seconds until LED indicator turns on red.
Speaker tone will be generated followed by voice prompt “Power Off”.

To put A5 in pairing mode, first make
sure it is in power off mode. Press
and hold MFB continuously until LED

From a Bluetooth phone or PC,
search for sonorix A5. When
prompted for pinkey, enter ‘0000’. If
pairing is successful, blue LED will
flash once followed by speaker tone
and voice prompt.
For some phones, you may need to
establish the Bluetooth connection
separately after pairing. Please refer
to your phone manual for details.

Using A5 for Handsfree Operation

On an incoming call, bell will ring
from phone and car kit. If your phone
supports PhoneBook profile, caller
name will be heard. To answer call,
short click MFB.

To make a call, first dial from phone
and call will be automatically
transferred to car kit. For some
phones, you have to transfer call to
A5 by pressing ‘Vol Up’ button for 3
seconds after dial tone gets through.

Redial
To redial, double click MFB. For
some phones, when MFB is double
clicked, it first displays the numbers
last called or received. In this case,
double click MFB again to redial.
Note: Some phones allow direct
redialing by double clicking MFB.

Voice Dial
To voice dial, make sure your phone
supports voice dialing function and
that it is activated and voice tags
have been recorded. In idle mode,
long click MFB for 3 seconds to
initiate voice dial. Follow the rest of
the instructions from phone.

End Call To end call first, short click MFB
during ‘Talk Mode’. If other party ends
the call first, A5 automatically returns
to handsfree standby mode. End Call

Selection
A5 supports 5 languages, that is,
English, German, French, Spanish
and Italian. In idle state without
Bluetooth connection with phone,
long click Volume Up(<) button for 3
seconds. To select next language,
long click Volume Up(<) button for 3
seconds and so on. Once you hear
the desired language, it will be saved
if you stop manipulating the Volume
Up(<) button.
