On power sources
• Operate the recorder only Oll
120 V AC, 60 Hz
• The recorder is not disconnected
fiom the AC power soul ce as long
as it is connected to file wall outlet,
even if the recorder itself has been
turned oft'.
• If you are not going to use the
recorder for a long time, be sure to
disconnect the recorder from the
wall outlet. To disconnect the AC
power cord, grasp the phlg itself:

Onplacement
• Place the lecolder in a location
with adequate ventilation to
prevent heat build-up in the
recorder.
• If the recorder is brought directly
fiom a cold to a warm location,
moiseu-e may condense inside the
recorder and cause damage to the
video head, tape, and the optical
block When you first install the
recorder or when yoll illove it
fiom a cold to a warm location,
wait for about three hom-s before
operating the recorder.
• Do not place the recorder on a soft
surface such as a lug that might
block the ventilation holes.
• Do not place the recorder in a
confined space such as a bookshelf
or similar unit.
• Do not place the recorder in a
location near heat sources, or in a
place subject to direct sunlight,
excessive dust, or mechanical
shock.
• Do not place the recorder in an
inclined position It is designed to
be operated in a horizontal
position only.
• Keep the recorder, discs, and
cassettes away from equipment
with strong magnets, such as
microwave ovens, or large
loudspeakel s
• Do not place hea_O, objects on the
recorder
• To prevent fire or shock hazard, do
not place objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, on the
apparatus.
Onrecording
• Contents of the lecolding cannot
be compensated tbr if the
recording or playback is not made
due to a malfimction of the
lecolder, disc, etc.
• Make trial lecordings befole
making the actual recording.

tapes, discs, and other materials
