well as PDF, JPEG, GIF, and HTML files. Through simple stylus or Jog Dial operation, you can

Memo/To Do Basic Palm applications let you organise your schedule, record addresses and phone

numbers, maintain “to-do” lists, and jot down quick notes.

CLIE Mail and CLIE Mail Conduit software let you transfer your PC’s Outlook and Outlook

Express mail, including those with attachments, to the CLIÉ via HotSync®. Handling multiple

email accounts is a breeze and attached zip files can be decompressed right in the CLIÉ too.

Alarm & Clock With Date Book, you can set alarms to go off whenever you need a reminder. Now you’ll

File Unzipping The CLIÉ even has the power to decompress zipped files imported via HotSync®or Memory

Built-in Wireless LAN Straight out of the box, CLIÉ can gain access to “Hot Spots” for swift Net surfing, support

email exchange, and let you take advantage of wireless HotSync®with your PC.*1

(CLIE Mail)

CLIE Mail lets you exchange email with image and movie attachments. It also cooperates with

your PC’s Outlook and Outlook Express applications and makes multiple email account

management a breeze.

Web Browser

(NetFront)

The new “Smart Fit” function automatically optimises web page tables to fit the screen of the

CLIÉ for more comfortable Net surfing, while the Jog Dial makes it easy to scroll pages and

push on hyperlinks. History and bookmark functions come in handy too.

File Unzipping This extremely handy feature lets you decompress zipped files on CLIÉ that have been

downloaded from the Net, received with mail, or imported from Memory Stick — all without

the need to use a PC.

Data Sync with PC Besides conventional USB connection, data can also be synced via an Access Point to a PC

in the same LAN.

Data Exchange Use infrared IrDA (1.2) to exchange data with other Palm OS installed PDAs or make use of

Wireless LAN capability*2to send information to similarly equipped PDAs running the Palm OS.

Simply slide open the lens cover and the CLIE Camera application activates automatically,

leaving you ready to shoot in an instant. For the utmost in convenience, all images can be

recorded directly onto the Memory Stick in familiar JPEG format.

Still Picture Viewing CLIE Viewer has the power to display JPEG images on your screen, including those shot by

yourself using the built-in camera. Just tap on the thumbnail of the one you wish to view and

watch it open up in full across the entire screen!

Movie Viewing Kinoma Player 2 lets you enjoy movies, promotional music videos and home movies. With the

bundled Image Converter application, you can even convert video files on your PC into

QuickTime file format*, which is playable on CLIÉ.

Music Playback

(MP3) AeroPlayer for CLIE plays MP3 music files from Memory Sticks. It even lets you listen to music

while working on other applications.

Built-in Speaker A built-in speaker enables playback of audio files for all to hear.

Handwriting Input Decuma Input recognises characters handwritten on the screen with a stylus and replaces

them with a friendly handwriting-style font.
