Getting Started
1. Installing the Unit
The following steps must be performed to
correspond with the installation steps in the
instruction manual of the optional accessories.
Follow the instructions in this manual referring to
the instruction manual supplied with the
accessories. For explanations referred to in ( ) in
the installation steps, see the same steps in the
instruction manual supplied with the accessories.
Prepare the following item;
– SS-TBL700 Speaker System (not supplied)
~
• Before performing the following instructions, first you
must prepare the SS-TBL700 Speaker System (Table-
Top Stand). Attach the Base Plate to the Table-Top
Stand as shown in the instruction manual of the SS-
TBL700 Speaker System.
• Do not remove the blue tape that secures the plate on
the rear of the monitor, until you finish installing the
Table-Top Stand.
1Remove the stand cover.
2Gently slide the monitor onto the neck of the
Table-Top Stand by aligning the Fmark of the
plate to the top part of the Table-Top Stand.
Be sure to work with two or more people.
3Attach the monitor to the Table-Top Stand
using the screws (supplied with SS-TBL700).
Attach the two bottom screws first, then the
top two screws.

• If an electric screwdriver is used, set the torque to
tighten at approximately 1.5 N·m {15 kgf·cm}.
• Do not put stress on the LCD panel or the frame
around the screen.
• Hold the Table-Top Stand firmly with both
hands.
4Connect the mains lead (supplied) to the AC
IN socket.
~
• Insert the plug fully into the socket.
• When using with an HDMI equipment, also
connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN socket
(page 10).
5Attach the stand cover.
Hang the stand cover over the top of the
Table-Top Stand’s centre post, and then push
down to close until it clicks.
~
• Be sure not to pinch the mains lead when
attaching the cover.
6Attach the terminal cover.
7Connect the monitor to your mains socket
(220-240V AC, 50Hz).
Prepare the following items;
– SU-WL700 Wall-Mount Bracket (not supplied)
– SS-WAL700 Speaker System (not supplied)
– Spacers (black) (4) (supplied)
1Place the supplied spacers (4-2).

1Remove the four screws from the rear of the
monitor.
2Place the spacers (black) on the screw holes of
the previous procedure.
2Follow steps 4-3 to 4-4 referring to the
instruction manual supplied with the Wall-
Mount Bracket.
When using only the Wall-Mount Bracket
Proceed to the following step 5 in this manual.
When using the Speaker System
Proceed to the following step 3 in this manual.
3Lift the Lock Bracket to insert the Speaker
System (4-5).
4Fix the Speaker System with two screws
(supplied with the Speaker System).
5See the instruction manual supplied with the
Wall-Mount Bracket, and follow steps 4-6 to
4-7.
6Connect the mains lead (supplied) to the AC
IN socket (5-1).
When installing the Speaker System
Fix the mains lead with the two hooks, and
drop the lead down from the right edge of the
monitor.
~
• When using with an HDMI equipment, also
connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN socket
(page 10).
7Follow the instruction manual supplied with
the Wall-Mount Bracket to continue installing
this product on the wall.
~
• You cannot connect the cables to the monitor
after it is wall-mounted.
• When moving the monitor, lift it with a soft cloth
underneath to prevent damage. Do not hold the
speaker.

Prepare the following item:
– Stand Support adaptor (supplied with SS-TBL700
Speaker System)
1Remove the screw from the Table-Top Stand.
2Secure the Stand Support adaptor to the
Table-Top Stand.
3Attach a rope or chain to the adaptor, and then
secure it to the TV stand (not supplied). Make
sure that there is no excess slack in the rope or
chain.
1Install a wood screw (4 mm in diameter, not
supplied) in the TV stand.
2Install a machine screw (M6 × 12-15, not
supplied) into the screw hole of the monitor.
3Tie the wood screw and the machine screw with
a strong cord.

2. Locating Inputs

• This unit displays all video input signals in a resolution of 1,920 dots × 1,080 lines.

1AC IN Connects to your power source. Connect the supplied mains lead to AC IN and the
nearest wall outlet.
2HDMI IN HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) provides an uncompressed, all-digital
audio/video interface between this monitor and any HDMI-equipped A/V equipment.
HDMI supports enhanced, or high-definition video, plus digital audio.

• You can enjoy high-definition programming by subscribing to a high-definition cable service or a high-definition
satellite service.
