1. Introduction
The SRX-T110/T105 ultra high resolution projectors are successor models to SRX-R1xx and SRX-S1xx
series, combining the features and functions of two predecessor models.
With the unique Sony SXRD panel technology incorporated, the new projectors inherit the high quality image
projection capability, clearly showing tiny details even on a big screen. Furthermore, the new T series have
the improved stability of performance and the convenient functions added, all of which are crucial
requirements for the target applications.
In a variety of applications, such as industrial design, data analysis for utility market or medical/research
field, or virtual reality display for entertainment market, the SRX-T110/T105 projectors will not only
streamline, but enhance the total system operation with their superb projection performance.
2. Product Positioning
Positioned as the top-end product in Sony entire projector line-up, the SRX-T110/T105 are unique in the
market place as there are not comparative projectors in the target markets in terms of brightness and native
resolution.
On top of that, in the target markets, except auditorium presentation, a plural number of projectors are
usually used in a system to artificially create one high resolution image on the large screen. Therefore, an
end user is keen on a simple system configuration while keeping the highest image precision, rather than
single projector performance and cost. The below example show how SRX-T110 projector simplify the
system against competitor’s configuration;
Powerwall for automotive design
6m x 2.5 m screen (4 door sedan car)
a. SRX-T110 x 1 piece WITHOUT edge blending and color matching adjustments
4096 x 1100 pixels
b. SXGA Projector x 3 pieces WITH edge matching and color matching adjustments
3760x 1024 pixels
3. Target markets & Applications
••Digital design for manufacturing industries, such as
automotive, aerospace and marine construction
••Data visualization for utility industry, scientific research,
medicine.
••Virtual Reality display for entertainment industries, such as
planetarium and theme park
••Simulation for training in military/defence, commercial sectors
••Multiwall/command & control for broadcast stations and corporate
••Auditorium presentation for corporate and museum
4. Benefits & Unique Selling Points
••Ultra high resolution projection to clearly show the image details without door effects
observed with DLP projector.
For design review, a designer wants to get closer to the screen but does not want to be
annoyed by the pixel effects.

5. Competitive Analysis
Based on its propriety LCOS technology, JVC announced its 4K projector development, and the product
release is expected later this year. This projector is also OEMed to Barco with slight difference in brightness.
The ultra high resolution of the SRX projectors is the biggest factor to attract the customers in high-end
visualization/simulation customers, so that in this section we will discuss comparison between SRX-T105 and
JVC/Barco 4K projectors.
Advantages of Sony 4K SXRD projectors are;
- Higher brightness; 11klm and 5.5klm models
- Compability of variety of signals;
*Barco/JVC projector accepts only progressive signals via DVI-D inputs.
The external signal processor boxes will be separately introduced to cope
with a variety of signals.
- Track record
* More than 350 units of SRX-R1xx/S1xx series have been sold world-wide in
Outside D-cinema market.
6. Product Features
Added to the features and convenient functions from the previous models, the SRX-T110/T105 have further
improvements for better operability of the projectors.
6.1. 8.8 million pixel resolution at 4096 x 2160
Thanks to the SXRD panel technology, a native resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels can be achieved. The
projectors thus can deliver huge amount of image data on a large screen.
6.2. High brightness and contrast ratio
The newly designed optical unit enables the projectors to achieve the higher brightness and contrast ratio,
compared with the predecessor models. The typical brightness of the new projectors are 11K lumen for
SRX-T110 and 5.5K lm for SRX-T105 while the typical contrast ratio is 2500:1.
6.3. Accurate color reproduction with wide color space
Thanks to the xenon lamp used in the projector, the SRX-T110/T105 have wide color space to assure the
accurate color reproduction, and also offer rich tone of color. To maximize its color reproduction capability,
the projector provides color space selection and gamma curve selection, making it possible to set the
projector conditions properly according to the operation needs.

NOTE
1. When a lamp explodes, its fragments will possibly come out from the ventilation holes. For sake of
safety, the minimum 2m of clearance area as above is required. If such a area cannot be secured,
make sure that LKRA-001 is used to have the projector connected to the external exhaust duct.
Angle projection
When the projector is installed at +/- 90 degrees as in the below illustration, attach a mounting platform to
the projector, which can move the projector to 0 degree angle.
NOTE
1. When the projector is installed at +/- 90 degrees, connect the projector to the external exhaust duct
with the optional LKRA-001. When attaching the adaptor, be sure to provide enough room for
smooth exhaust flow and take care not to bend the duct.
