Charging the Unit
This unit has a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Charge the battery
before using the unit for the first time.
Note
•Attach a plug appropriate to your country/region to the AC adaptor beforehand.
Be sure to completely insert the plug into the AC adaptor until it clicks.

Charging starts when the unit is connected to an AC outlet via the AC
adaptor, and the CHARGE indicator lights up orange. Charging is
completed in about four hours and the indicator goes off.
How to Make Wireless Connection with
BLUETOOTH Devices
Select your case from the 3 pairing types, below. BLUETOOTH devices need to be
“paired” with each other beforehand.
Pairing and connecting with a BLUETOOTH
device
The unit can be paired with up to eight BLUETOOTH devices. When pairing with
two or more BLUETOOTH devices, perform the following pairing procedure for
each device.
1Press the /(power) button to turn on this unit.
The /(power) indicator lights up green.
Lit

2Tap the (BLUETOOTH) PAIRING button.
The (BLUETOOTH) indicator begins to flash white.

When you use the BLUETOOTH function for the first time, and when you
only tap the (BLUETOOTH) PAIRING button, the (BLUETOOTH)
indicator will begin to flash white quickly and the unit enters pairing mode
automatically.
3Tap and hold the (BLUETOOTH) PAIRING button until beeps
are heard and the (BLUETOOTH) indicator begins to flash
white quickly.
The unit enters pairing mode.

4Perform the pairing procedure on the BLUETOOTH device to
detect this unit.
When a list of detected devices appears on the display of the BLUETOOTH
device, select “SRS-X55.”
If passkey input is required on the display of a BLUETOOTH device, input
“0000.”
5Make the BLUETOOTH connection from the BLUETOOTH device.
When the BLUETOOTH connection is established, the (BLUETOOTH)
indicator on the unit stays lit.
Connecting with a paired BLUETOOTH device
1Turn on this unit.
2Tap the (BLUETOOTH) PAIRING button.
The (BLUETOOTH) indicator begins to flash white.
3Make the BLUETOOTH connection from the BLUETOOTH device.
When the BLUETOOTH connection is established, the (BLUETOOTH)
indicator on the unit stays lit.
Connecting with a smartphone by One-
touch (NFC)
By touching the unit with a smartphone, the unit is turned on automatically and
then proceeds to pairing and BLUETOOTH connection.
Compatible smartphones
NFC-compatible smartphones with Android™2.3.3 or later installed
NFC
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology enabling short-range wireless
communication between various devices, such as smartphones and IC tags.
Thanks to the NFC function, data communication - for example, BLUETOOTH
pairing - can be achieved easily by simply touching NFC compatible devices
together (i.e., at the N-Mark symbol or location designated on each device).
1Set the NFC function of the smartphone to on.
For details, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the smartphone.
•If your smartphone OS is Android 2.3.3 or later, and less than Android 4.1:
proceed to step 2.
•If your smartphone OS is Android 4.1 or later: proceed to step 4.
2Download and install the app “NFC Easy Connect.”
“NFC Easy Connect” is a free Android app you can download from Google
Play™.
Download the app by searching for “NFC Easy Connect” or access it by
using the following two-dimensional code. Fees may be charged for
downloading the app.
To download by the two-dimensional code, use a
two-dimensional code reader app.
Note
•The app may not be available in some countries and/or regions.
3Start “NFC Easy Connect” on the smartphone.
Make sure that the app screen is displayed.
4Touch this unit with the smartphone.
Unlock the screen of the smartphone beforehand.
Keep touching the smartphone on the N marked part of the unit until the
smartphone responds. If the unit is off, it will turn on when the
smartphone touches it.

Follow the on-screen instructions to establish the connection.
When the BLUETOOTH connection is established, the (BLUETOOTH)
indicator on the unit stays lit.
To disconnect, touch the unit with the smartphone again.
Hint
If you cannot connect the unit, try the following.
•Start the app on the smartphone, and move the smartphone slowly over the N
marked part of the unit.
•If the smartphone is in a case, remove it from the case.
•Make sure that the app screen is displayed on the smartphone.
Listening and Calling
Operate the unit after making BLUETOOTH connection with your BLUETOOTH device.
Listening to music
Profile: A2DP, AVRCP
Start playback on the BLUETOOTH device, and adjust the volume.
Set the volume on the connected device or with the VOL –/+ buttons on the
unit.

•For details about playback through connection via the AUDIO IN jack, refer to the
Help Guide.
Making a call/Receiving a call
Profile: HSP, HFP
Microphone
Operate your smartphone to make a call.
To terminate a call, press the button on the unit.
Press the button on the unit when an incoming call arrives.
Operate in the same way when an incoming call arrives while you are listening
to music.

Comment établir une connexion sans fil avec des
périphériques BLUETOOTH
Parmi les 3types de pairage ci-dessous, sélectionnez celui qui correspond à votre cas.

L’appareil peut être pairé à huitpériphériques BLUETOOTH maximum. En cas de
pairage à deux périphériques BLUETOOTH ou davantage, appliquez la
procédure de pairage suivante pour chaque périphérique.
1Appuyez sur la touche /(alimentation) pour mettre cet
appareil sous tension.

4Effectuez la procédure de pairage sur le périphérique

(BLUETOOTH) de l’appareil reste allumé.

Connexion à un smartphone par simple
contact (NFC)
Si vous mettez l’appareil en contact avec un smartphone, il se met
automatiquement sous tension, puis effectue le pairage et établit la connexion
BLUETOOTH.

NFC
La NFC (Near Field Communication, communication en champ proche) est une
technologie permettant d’établir une communication sans fil à courte portée
entre différents périphériques, comme les smartphones et les étiquettes IC.
Grâce à la fonction NFC, la communication des données (par exemple, le
pairage BLUETOOTH) peut être facilement réalisée en mettant simplement en
contact des périphériques compatibles NFC (autrement dit, au niveau du
symbole du repère N ou de l’emplacement désigné sur chaque appareil).
1Activez la fonction NFC du smartphone.
Pour plus de détails, reportez-vous au mode d’emploi fourni avec le
smartphone.
•Si le système d’exploitation de votre smartphone est Android2.3.3 ou une
version ultérieure, mais antérieure à Android4.1: passez à l’étape2.
•Si le système d’exploitation de votre smartphone est Android4.1 ou une
version ultérieure, passez à l’étape 4.
2Téléchargez et installez l’application «Connexion NFC facile».
«Connexion NFC facile» est une application Android gratuite que vous
pouvez télécharger sur Google Play™.
Téléchargez l’application en recherchant «Connexion NFC facile» ou
accédez-y à l’aide du code en deux dimensions suivant. Le téléchargement
de l’application peut être payant.
Pour télécharger à l’aide du code en deux
dimensions, utilisez une application de lecture de
code en deuxdimensions.
Remarque
•Il est possible que l’application ne soit pas disponible dans certains pays et/ou
dans certaines régions.
3Démarrez l’application «Connexion NFC facile» sur le
smartphone.
Vérifiez que l’écran de l’application est affiché.
4Mettez l’appareil en contact avec le smartphone.
Déverrouillez préalablement l’écran du smartphone.
Maintenez le contact avec le smartphone sur la zone de l’appareil
marquée N jusqu’à ce que le smartphone réagisse. Si l’appareil est hors
tension, il se met sous tension lorsque le smartphone entre en contact
avec lui.

Pour établir la connexion, conformez-vous aux instructions affichées.
Lorsque l’appareil est connecté au périphérique BLUETOOTH, le témoin
(BLUETOOTH) de l’appareil reste allumé.
Pour le déconnecter, mettez-le à nouveau en contact avec le smartphone.

Si vous ne parvenez pas à connecter l’appareil, essayez ce qui suit.
•Démarrez l’application sur le smartphone et déplacez lentement le
smartphone sur le repère N de l’appareil.
•Si le smartphone se trouve dans un étui, sortez-le de celui-ci.
•Vérifiez que l’écran de l’application est affiché sur le smartphone.
Écoute et appel

NFC (Near Field Communication, Transmisión de datos en proximidad) es una
tecnología que permite la comunicación inalámbrica de corto alcance entre
diversos dispositivos, como teléfonos inteligentes y etiquetas IC. Gracias a la
función NFC, es posible transmitir fácilmente datos (como el emparejamiento a

Busque “Conexión fácil NFC” o escanee el siguiente código bidimensional
para descargar e instalar la aplicación. Es necesario abonar los costes de
comunicación para descargar la aplicación.

3Inicie la aplicación “Conexión fácil NFC” en el teléfono
inteligente.

NFC (Near Field Communication) ist eine Technologie zur drahtlosen
Kommunikation über kurze Strecken zwischen verschiedenen Geräten, z. B.
Smartphones und IC-Tags. Dank der NFC-Funktion lässt sich die
Datenkommunikation – beispielsweise das BLUETOOTH-Pairing – einfach
durchführen, indem die NFC-kompatiblen Geräte nahe aneinander gehalten
werden (und zwar an der N-Markierung bzw. einer festgelegten Stelle an den
Geräten).
1Schalten Sie die NFC-Funktion am Smartphone ein.

•Bei einem Smartphone, auf dem das Betriebssystem Android 2.3.3 oder höher,
aber eine frühere Version als Android 4.1 installiert ist: Fahren Sie mit Schritt2

2Laden Sie die App „NFC-Schnellverbindung“ herunter und
installieren Sie sie.

Google Play™herunterladen können.
Zum Herunterladen der App suchen Sie nach „NFC-Schnellverbindung“

3Starten Sie „NFC-Schnellverbindung“ auf dem Smartphone.

Het toestel opladen
Dit toestel heeft een interne lithium-ionbatterij (oplaadbaar). Laad de batterij op
voordat u het toestel voor de eerste keer gebruikt.

volgende koppelprocedure voor elk apparaat uit te voeren.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is een technologie voor draadloze
communicatie binnen een kort bereik tussen verschillende apparaten (bv.
smartphones en IC-tags). Met de NFC-functie kunt u gegevenscommunicatie
(bv. koppelen via BLUETOOTH) uitermate eenvoudig instellen door apparaten
die NFC ondersteunen elkaar te laten raken (bv. bij de N-markering of een
andere plaats die aangegeven is op het apparaat).
1Zet de NFC-functie op de smartphone aan.

Download de app door naar "NFC eenvoudig verbinden" te zoeken of scan
de volgende tweedimensionale code. Om de app te kunnen downloaden,
worden er mogelijk verbindingskosten aangerekend.

gebruikt u een app voor het lezen van

3Start "NFC eenvoudig verbinden" op de smartphone.
Ga na of het scherm van de app weergegeven wordt.
4Raak dit toestel aan met de smartphone.
Ontgrendel het scherm van de smartphone vooraf.
Blijf het gedeelte dat gemarkeerd is met N aanraken op de smartphone tot
de smartphone reageert. Als het toestel uitgeschakeld is, schakelt u het in
wanneer de smartphone hiermee contact maakt.

Wanneer de BLUETOOTH-verbinding tot stand is gebracht, blijft de

smartphone.
Tip
Probeer het volgende als het niet goed lukt om de verbinding te maken.
•Activeer de app op de smartphone en beweeg de smartphone langzaam over
het gedeelte dat met N gemarkeerd is op het toestel.
•Als uw smartphone opgeborgen is in een hoes, verwijdert u deze.
•Controleer of het scherm van de app wordt weergegeven op de smartphone.
Luisteren en oproepen tot stand brengen
Bedien het toestel nadat u via BLUETOOTH verbinding hebt gemaakt met uw
BLUETOOTH-apparaat.
Muziek beluisteren

Start de weergave op het BLUETOOTH-apparaat en pas het volume
aan.
Stel het volume in op het aangesloten apparaat of met de knoppen VOL –/+ op
het toestel.

Bellen/een oproep ontvangen

Bedien uw smartphone om te bellen.
Om het gesprek te beëindigen, drukt u op de knop op het toestel.
Druk op de knop op het toestel wanneer er een oproep
binnenkomt.
Voer dezelfde handeling uit wanneer een oproep binnenkomt terwijl u naar
muziek luistert.

Carica dell’apparecchio
Il presente apparecchio è dotato di una batteria ricaricabile a ioni di litio

L’apparecchio può essere associato con max. 8 dispositivi BLUETOOTH. In caso
di associazione con due o più dispositivi BLUETOOTH, eseguire la seguente
procedura di associazione per ogni dispositivo.
1Premere il pulsante/(accensione) per accendere
l’apparecchio.
L’indicatore /(accensione) si illumina in verde.

Toccando l’apparecchio con uno smartphone, l’apparecchio si accende
automaticamente, quindi procede con l’esecuzione dell’associazione e della
connessione BLUETOOTH.

Smartphone compatibili con la tecnologia NFC con Android™2.3.3 o versione
successiva
NFC
NFC (Near Field Communication) è una tecnologia che consente la
comunicazione senza fili a corto raggio tra svariati dispositivi, ad esempio
smartphone e “tag” con circuiti integrati. Grazie alla funzione NFC, la
comunicazione di dati - ad esempio l’associazione BLUETOOTH - risulta
possibile semplicemente facendo toccare i dispositivi compatibili con la
tecnologia NFC (vale a dire in corrispondenza del simbolo N o del punto
appositamente predisposto su ciascun dispositivo).
1Attivare la funzione NFC dello smartphone.
Per i dettagli, consultare le istruzioni per l’uso in dotazione con lo
smartphone.
•Se il sistema operativo dello smartphone utilizzato è Android 2.3.3 o una
versione successiva e inferiore ad Android 4.1: passare al punto 2.
•Se il sistema operativo dello smartphone è Android 4.1 o una versione

2Scaricare e installare l’applicazione “Connessione facile NFC”.
“Connessione facile NFC” è un’applicazione Android gratuita che può
essere scaricata da Google Play™.
Scaricare l’applicazione cercando “Connessione facile NFC” oppure
accedere all’applicazione utilizzando il codice bidimensionale seguente.
Per lo scaricamento dell’applicazione potrebbero venire applicati dei costi.
Mediante il codice bidimensionale: utilizzare

•Questa applicazione potrebbe non essere disponibile per lo scaricamento in

3Avviare l’applicazione “Connessione facile NFC” sullo
smartphone.
Assicurarsi che la schermata dell’applicazione venga visualizzata.
4Toccare il presente apparecchio con lo smartphone.
Sbloccare anticipatamente lo schermo dello smartphone.
Continuare a toccare l’apparecchio con lo smartphone sulla parte
contrassegnata dal simbolo N fino a quando lo smartphone non reagisce.
Se l’apparecchio è spento, si accenderà non appena verrà toccato con lo
smartphone.

Suggerimento
Qualora non si riesca a connettere l’apparecchio, provare con la procedura
seguente.
•Avviare l’applicazione sullo smartphone, quindi muovere lentamente lo
smartphone al di sopra del simbolo N dell’apparecchio.
•Qualora lo smartphone sia inserito in una custodia, rimuoverlo da
quest’ultima.
•Assicurarsi che la schermata dell’applicazione venga visualizzata sullo
smartphone.
Ascolto e chiamata
Utilizzare l’apparecchio dopo aver effettuato la connessione BLUETOOTH con il
dispositivo BLUETOOTH utilizzato.
Ascolto di musica
Profilo: A2DP, AVRCP
Avviare la riproduzione sul dispositivo BLUETOOTH, quindi regolare il
volume.
Impostare il volume sul dispositivo collegato o con il pulsanti VOL –/+
sull’apparecchio.

Effettuazione di una chiamata/Ricezione di
una chiamata

Utilizzare il proprio smartphone per effettuare una chiamata.
Per terminare una chiamata, premere il pulsante sull’apparecchio.
Quando si riceve una chiamata, premere il pulsante
sull’apparecchio.
Eseguire la stessa operazione quando si riceve una chiamata mentre si sta
ascoltando della musica.
