Key Technologies
FD Trinitron®WEGA®Flat Screen is the basis of Sony's award-winning line of visually flat televisions.
FD Trinitron sets deliver incredible image accuracy, wide viewing angles, outstanding contrast, and corner-to-
corner detail while minimizing glare from light sources to enhance contrast.
ATSC Integrated Tuner allows the reception of local, off-air digital broadcasts providing the viewing of
FREE, true high-definition network programming without the addition of a set top box or a monthly fee.
CableCARD™ Slot provides cable subscribers with access to digitally encrypted cable channels -without
the need for a set-top box -that will enable you to receive not only standard definition but also high definition
television programs. The CableCARD, which is provided by your cable TV provider, is inserted into the TV's
rear panel CableCARD slot. After the service is activated with your cable TV provider, the card replaces the
need for a separate set-top box. (Check with your local cable TV provider about CableCARD service details,
limitations, pricing, and availability.)
DRC ®MF Circuitry (Digital Reality Creation®Multi-function) analyzes a 480i NTSC image and
creates a digital bit mapped pattern in real time resulting in an image that has 4X the density of the original
image for quality sources such as DVD, satellite, and digital camcorders. Resolution is doubled both vertically
and horizontally. The Video Menu allows you to select interlaced, progressive, or CineMotion ® output.
CineMotion®Reverse 3-2 Pulldown improves the display of video programs originally shot on 24 frames
per second film preserving the integrity of the original film frames for more fluid motion and finer detail.
