Volume Controls
Owner's Manual

Introduction
Thank you for purchasin a Sound Acoustics commercial volume
control. Sound Acoustics commercial volume controls are easy to
install and are specially desi ned to fit standard sin le an electrical
boxes. All Sound Acoustics products are desi ned and en ineered to
the hi hest possible standards and provide professional installers
with many unique features. Please read this manual to et the most
from your Sound Acoustics products.
Packa e Contents:
1. Volume control, cover plate and knob assembly.
2. Two mountin screws.
3. Removable terminal block connector.
Installation:
1. Always ensure the amplifier is unplu ed from the AC outlet
before connectin or disconnectin any wires to the
amplifier, volume control(s), or speakers.
2. Run an 18 aw 2 conductor stranded copper speaker wire
from the amplifier to the volume control location.
3. Remove the volume control terminal block and loosen the 4
screws usin a small slotted screwdriver.
4. Wire Connections:
AMPLIFIER VOLUME CONTROL SPEAKER
C --------------------AMP - SPK ----- Com /Black
25V -------------------AMP + SPK + ---- + 25/70V
70V ---------------------AMP +
5. Use parallel wirin techniques to connect multiple volume
controls to a sin le commercial amplifier. (see dia ram
below)
6. Use parallel wirin techniques to connect multiple speakers
to a sin le volume control.
7. NOTE: Never exceed the volume control watta e ratin by
connectin hi her watta e speakers or multiple speakers
where the combined speaker watta e ratin s exceed that of
the volume control. Example: Usin a 10 watt volume
control: connect 10 commercial speakers with transformers
tapped at 1 watt each for a total watta e of 10 watts.
Connectin 10 commercial speakers tapped at 5 watts each
equals 50 watts. This would overload a 10 watt volume
control. The solution would be to use a VC-75.
8. Once the parallel wirin connections are made re-connect
the terminal block to the volume control.
9. Place the volume control in a sin le an electrical box and
screw it into place usin the included mountin screws.

Warranty
Sound Acoustics commercial volume controls are warranted to be
free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three
(3) year without char e for parts or labour. The warranty applies only
to the ori inal owner. The owner’s responsibilities are to provide proof
of purchase and transportation to the dealer the unit was purchased
from or transportation to the Sound Acoustics factory. This warranty
does not apply to units which have been subject to misuse, abuse,
ne lect or improper installation, and does not apply to repairs or
alterations by unauthorized personnel. This warranty specifically
excludes responsibility for consequential dama e.
Retention of your dated ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE is required to obtain
service under the terms of the warranty.
