ShrutiVani is India’s FIRST 2-in-1 Electronic Shruti Box capable of playin hi h quality TAMBURA
SHRUTI and HARMONIUM SHRUTI alon with an accurate inbuilt electronic TUNER.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ON/OFF:
Switch on the instrument by pressin the ON/OFF button.
Before you switch on, make sure to plu in the mains cord; the two-pin male plu into your AC
wall power supply, and the female connector on the back of the Shrutivani.
Once ON, pressin the ON/OFF switch a ain will turn the Shrutivani off.
SHRUTI 2-in-1:
Press this button to select the Shruti Instrument you want to play: Tambura Shruti or Harmonium
Shruti. The correspondin LED will low a ainst the selected Shruti.
VOLUME:
Use the arrow buttons a ainst VOLUME to set the volume of the instrument.
Press the Up or Down arrow buttons to respectively increase or decrease the volume of the Shruti
Box.
MAIN SA:
Use the arrow buttons a ainst MAIN SA to select your required sur (note).
Press the Up or Down arrow buttons to navi ate from the lowest to the hi hest sur (i.e. main
notes).
The sur indication is arran ed like the keys of a harmonium or a piano keyboard for quick
reference.
The selected sur is represented by its correspondin LED in the display above.
The first LED indicates A scale 6 Kattai (lowest sur). The last LED indicates B scale 7 Kattai
(hi hest sur 2nd octave)
FINE SA:
Use the arrow buttons a ainst FINE SA to further fine tune your sur (note). The Up & Down buttons
allow fine pitch adjustment between two main notes.
Press the Up button to adjust between C & C#. Press the Down button to adjust between C & B.
SELECT:
Press this button to selection the style on a rotational basis: PA (Pancham), MA (Madhyam), NI
(Nishad) or only SA.
The correspondin LED will low a ainst the selected style only for PA, MA or NI.
To select SA, press the button until the LED is off i.e. when the selected style is SA, all LEDs will be
turned off.

TEMPO:
Use the arrow buttons a ainst TEMPO to adjust the tempo.
Press the Up or Down arrow buttons to respectively increase or decrease the tempo.
PLUCK:
Use the arrow buttons a ainst PLUCK to chan e pluckin .
Press the Up or Down arrow buttons to respectively move from a hard sound to a soft sound.
TONE:
Dial the TONE knob to adjust the tone (Treble / Bass) as required.
TUNER:
To enter Tuner mode, press the SHRUTI 2-in-1 button to select the Harmonium Shruti, then press the
select button until all LEDs are turned off
BATTERY OPERATIONS:
To use on battery instead of electricity, insert 8 AA pencil cells to switch on the Shrutivani. In case
of low Battery, the LED a ainst Low Battery will low and in sometime the instrument will shut
down.
WARRANTY:
The Shrutivani Instrument is warranted a ainst defects arisin out of faulty of defective materials
or workmanship for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of purchase. In case of defect
developin within the period of warranty, the company will undertake to repair the instrument
free of char e, provided the instrument is returned to the dealer, frei ht prepaid with adequate
packin .
This Warranty is void in case of any of the followin :
1. The instrument is dama ed by physical abuse, improper handlin , reckless use or ne li ence
of the user.
2. Any repairs or modifications are attempted on the instrument by unauthorized persons.
3. The warranty seal on the instrument is removed or tampered with
