INSTALLATION
A. Unpack all parts and remove protective material.
B. Insert the batteries (2xUM-4/SIZE "AAA") into the remote control transmitter
as shown in the battery compartment.
C. Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the main voltage and
before all other connections have been made.
D. Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several
centimetres around the unit for ventilation.
CONNECTIONS
A. Terminals for 2 loudspeakers (minimum speaker
impedance 8 ohm). Attach loudspeaker cables to
the unit. Left speaker: connect the wire to terminal
'L'. Right speaker: connect the wire to terminal 'R'.
B. Terminal for FM antenna. The antanna wire can
be connected to terminal. Adjust the position of
FM antanna for optimum reception. For good FM
stereo reception, use an FM outdoor antanna or
connect the supplied antenna wire to your house
distribution system.
C. Voltage selector (not on all version). If your version has this selector, check
that the setting corresponds with your local mains voltage. If the selector
must be reset, disconnect the AC power cord.

D. AUX input /MP3 input for connection of other sound sources. (e.g. TV or VCR audio
output).
OPERATION
POWER STANDBY ON/OFF
When you first plug the unit into the mains, the unit will go into standby mode.
The display will show the time.
• You can press STANDBY to switch on the unit.
•The standby function of the unit remains on until the unit is switched on.
•Pull the main plug out of the wall socket if you want to switch off the main
voltage completely.
OPERATION/CLOCK SETTING
1. Under power standby mode, press MEMORY/CLK ADJ key to access clock
setting.
2. The hour digit will flash, press Bor Fto set the correct hours.
3. Press MEMORY/CLK ADJ again to select the minutes setting, minute digit
will flash, press Bor Fto set the correct minutes.
4. Press MEMORY/CLK ADJ again to store in the memory.
OPERATION/TUNER
TUNING
1. Press STANDBY to switch on the unit or remote.
2. Press FUNCTION to select the TUNER mode.
3. Select the tuning range with the STOP/BAND button.
4. Press Bor Ffor few seconds, then release the button.
•The tuner will automatically search for the first transmitter of sufficient
strength.
•Repeat this procedure if you wish to select another station.
5. To tune to weak stations, briefly depress Bor Fcontinuously until you read
the correct frequency or the reception is at its optimum.
6. Switch to MONO if there is interference noise during FM STEREO reception.
PROGRAMMING OF PRESET STATIONS
1. Select the tuning range with the STOP/BAND button.
2. Tune to the desired station as described under Tuning.
3. Press MEMORY/CLK ADJ. "06" will start to flash and "MEMORY" will display.
4. Press ALBUM/PRESET DN or ALBUM/PRESET UP to assign a number (FM
1-30 / AM 1-15) to the preset station.
5. Press MEMORY/CLK ADJ again. The frequency, preset number and stereo
setting are now entered in the memory.
6. Repeat this procedure to store other frequencies and preset in the memory.
TUNING TO PRESET STATIONS
Select a number(FM 1-30 / AM 1-15) by pressing:
ALBUM/PRESET DN or ALBUM/PRESET UP button.

LISTENING TO FM STATION WITH RDS
RDS(Radio Data System) permits FM stations to send additional signals with the
regular programme signals. For example, the station send their station names
and information about what type of broadcast programme, such as sports or
music,etc.
When tuned in an FM station which provides the RDS service,the “PS” RDS
mode is set automatically, the station name and “ ” appear on the display.
Note:
- Some FM stations do not provide RDS ser vice.
- RDS may not work correcting if the signal sreength is weak.
- RDS is not available for AM broadcasts.
Selecting the RDS display mode
1. Press FUNCTION button, while listening to an FM station which provide the
RDS service.
2. Press RDS/REPEATbutton until “RDS” appears on the display
- If the signal is weak and reception is poor, “RDS” disappears.
3. Press the PTY/RANDOM button on the remote controller.
Related information will appear.
PS (Programme Service)
“PS” appears on the display, then station name is displayed. If no PS signal is
received, “NO PS” appears briefly, then station frequency is displayed.
PTY (Programme Type)
“PTY” appears, then broadcast programmed type is displayed. If no PTY signal
is received, “NO PTY” appears, then station name or station frequency is dis-
played.
RT (Radio Text)
“RT” appears, then text messages the station sends will be displayed. If no RT
signal is received, “NO TEXT” appears.
CT(Clock time)
“CT” appears, the clock and date will be display.
Frequency
Station frequency (non-RDS service)
After several seconds, the PS mode returns if RDS signal is received.
On characters displayed
When the display shows PS, PTY or RTsignals:
- The display shows upper case letters only.
- The display cannot show accented letters: for example, “A” may represent
accented “A’s” like “Á”, “À”, “Ô, “”, “Å” and “Ä”.

To search a station by PTY codes
Aparticular programme type broadcast can be located by specifying the PTY
codes.

Press the Bor Fbutton within 5seconds. The unit will scan up or down
the band and stops when it finds a broadcast of the PTY code you have
selected, then tunes into that station and “ ” appears.

RDS

OPERATION/COMPACT DISC/MP3/WMA
Press FUNCTION key to select CD/MP3 mode.
INSERTING THE MP3/WMA-CD/CD DISC
1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the CD door.
2. Insert a MP3-CD/CD in the tray.
3. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the CD door.
•The MP3-CD/CD-player starts and scans the contents list of the MP3/WMA-
CD/CD.
NOTE: In TUNER and AUX mode OPEN/CLOSE are disabled.
FOR CD
After a few seconds, the total playing time and number of tracks appear on the
display.
FOR MP3/WMA
After a few seconds, the total number of tracks, albums and MP3 or WMA
appear on the display.
PLAYING THE ENTIRE DISC
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE R/ P.
•Play starts with the first track.
•The display shows the current track number and its elapsed playing time.
•When all the tracks have been played, the MP3-CD/CD stops and returns
pristine display.
2. To stop play, press STOP C.
3. To interrupt play, press PLAY/PAUSE R/ P.
4. To resume play, press PLAY/PAUSE R/ Pagain.
SELECTING ADIFFERENT TRACK DURING PLAY
•Press Bor Funtil the required track number appears in the display.
•MP3-CD mode only:
Press ALBUM/PRESET DN or ALBUM/PRESET UP once or more to find
your desired album.
STARTING AGAIN WITH THE TRACK THATIS CURRENTLYPLAYING by
pressing Bonce. The track will be started again from the beginning.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE DURING PLAYby holding Bor Fto search
for the required passage. If you release the button, play will continue.
Find function
For MP3/WMAdisc playback only: Press FIND/ESP on remote control to access the
search function.

FIND BY FILE NAME
•Press FIND/ESP on remote control once to access this search mode.
The display will show letter "A". If any file name start with letter "A",
It will appear on the display. You can Press Bor Fto search from A-Z,0-9.
•If any file name start with letter "A" press stop key go to sub-mode.
•Press PLAY/PAUSE R/Pkey to start playing this track with your selected letter.
FIND BY ALBUM NAME
•Press FIND twice to access this search mode.
•Press Bor Fto search your desired album and press PLAY/PAUSE R/P
to start playing.
TEXT DISPLAY(ID3 DISPLAY)
During MP3/WMA-CD playing, press INFO/BIT-SEL key to switch to text display
mode, it will show the file name / title / album / artist name of the current track.
Press INFO/BIT-SEL key for to return to the track playing time.
ID3 information: File name / Tille /Album / Artist name.
PROGRAMMING TRACKS
Up to 32 tracks can be stored in the memory.
1. Load a MP3/WMA-CD/CD as described previouly.
2. Press MEMORY/CLK ADJ to start programming.
3. Press Bor Fto locate a particular track or album/track (MP3/WMA-CD/CD).
Press MEMORY/CLK ADJ to store it in the memory.
4. Continue this process until you have selected all the tracks you require.
PLAYING APROGRAM
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE R/P.
2. Play starts with the first track of the program.
3. When all tracks have been played, the MP3/WMA-CD/CD player stops.
CLEAR PROGRAM TRACKS
Press STOP Copening and closing the CD tray will erase all programmed tracks.
REPEAT PLAY(For CD)
If at any time you wish to listen to a disc or program over and over again, the
REPEATfunction will allow you to do so.
1. Press REPEATonce.
2. "REPEAT1" will be displayed on the LCD.
3. Press REPEATtwice, "REPEATALL" will be displayed on the LCD.
4. Press REPEATagain to cancel the repeat function.

REPEAT PLAY(For MP3/WMA-CD/CD)
1. Press REPEATbutton once.
2. "REPEAT1" will be displayed on the LCD.
3. Press REPEATtwice, "REPEATALL" will be displayed on the LCD.
4. Press REPEATthree times, "REPEATALBUM" will be displayed on the LCD.
5. Press REPEATfour times to cancel the repeat function.
RANDOM PLAY
Press RANDOM button once, "RANDOM" will be appear on the LCD, press
RANDOM button twice to cancel the RANDOM function.
INTRO PLAY
Press INTRO button once,"INTRO" will be appear on the LCD, play 10 sec of
each track/file.
Press INTRO button twice to cancel the INTRO function.
OPERATION/USB/SD/MMC
INSERTING THE USB/SD/MMC
Insert a USB or SD/MMC in the USB socket or SD/MMC socket.
SELECT USB OR SD/MMC
1. Press FUNCTION repeatly to select USB or CARD, the total number of
tracks, albums and MP3 appear on the display.
2. If there’s a USB, and you select the USB mode, the information of USB,
the total number of tracks, albums and USB, MP3 (or WMA) appear on
the diplay.
3. If there’s a SD/MMC, and you select the CARD mode, the information of
SD/MMC, the total number of tracks, albums, CARD, MP3 (or WMA)
appear the diplay.
FIND BUTTON FUNCTION
Press FIND/ESP to access the search function.
FIND BY ALBUM NAME
1. Press FIND to access this search mode.
You can press Bor Fto search the file name.
2. Press PLAY/PAUSE R/ Pkey to start playing.
TEXT DISPLAY(ID3 DISPLAY)
During MP3 playing, press INFO/BIT-SEL key to switch text display mode, it will
show the file name/title/album/artist name of current track. Press INFO/BIT-
SEL key again to return to the track playing time.
The other functions are the same as MP3.

OPERATION/RECORDER
REC FM TUNER
1. Press Function key, to select tuner mode, then press STOP/BAND key, to
select FM band.
2. Press FR/DOWN or FF/UP until you wish select station.
3. Press BIT-SEL key once, “BIT RATE” will dispaly on the LCD. Press B
or Fto select recorder BIT RATE(64-96-128-192-256)kbps. Press BIT-SEL
key twice to confirm.
4. Press REC key, “USB CARD” will dispaly on the LCD. Press Bor F
to select record into the USB or CARD.
5. Press REC key, start to record. Press REC key again, stop recording.
6. The MP3 music have been saved in the USB or CARD audio folder last song.
NOTE: AM station can not record; FM can record but must ensure the
transmitter is sufficient.”STEREO” icon must be appear on the LCD.
REC CD/MP3 DISC
1. Press Function key, to select CD, After reading TOC, press BIT-SEL key
once to select recorder BIT RATE. “BIT RATE” will dispaly on the LCD.
Press Bor Fto select BIT RATE(64-96-128-192-256)kbps. Press
BIT-SEL key twice to confirm.
2. Press Bor Fto select desired song. Press play, then press REC key,
“USB CARD” will be appear on the LCD display ,Press Bor Fto select
record into the USB or CARD.Press REC key again start to record, and the
CD start to play. While the song end. The CD will make automatically MP3
format and save in the USB or CARD audio folder last song.
3. Press REC key on stop mode,The CD will be recorded entire disc.
4. While play MP3 disc, Press REC key, The MP3 file of disc will copy to USB
or CARD. Percentage of complete will display on the LCD. The speaker no
sound.File will be saved in the USB or CARD FCOPY folder.
NOTE: While recording CD song, if press REC key or STOP key will cancel record.
REC AUX SIGNAL
1. Press Function key, to select AUX mode, ensure AUX IN signal is moderate
and clear.
2. Press BIT-SEL key, select bit rate. “BIT RATE” will dispaly on the LCD.
Press Bor Fto select BIT RATE(64-96-128-192-256)kbps. Press BIT-
SEL key to confirm.
3. Press REC key, “USB CARD” will dispaly on the LCD. Press Bor F
to select recorder position.
4. Press REC key, start to record. Press REC key again, stop recording.The
MP3 file will be saved in the USB or CARD audio folder last song.

USB/CARD COPY
1. Press Function key, to select USB or CARD mode.
2. In USB play mode, Press REC key, copy current file to SD or MMC card
FCOPY folder.
3. In CARD play mode, Press REC key, copy current file to USB FCOPY folder.
4. In STOP mode, Press REC key, copy all file to USB or SD/MMC card FCOPY folder.
5. In USB or CARD mode ,select file to delete. Press REC key, “DELETE N Y”
will appear on the LCD.Press Bor Fto select Y,Press REC key to delete
current file.
6.In USB or CARD stop mode, Press and hold REC key, “FORMATN Y” will
appear on the LCD.Press Bor Fto select Y, Press REC key to format USB or
SD or MMC card.
OPERATION/TIMER
Before setting the timer, make sure the clock is correctly set.
TIMER ON SETTING
Select TUNER or CD mode and select the desired sound source.
1. If you select BAND, press Bor Fto select a preset station.
2. The display will show the selected preset station and frequency.
3. Press STANDBY key to select standby mode.
4. Press SLEEP/TIMER to confirm your selection.
5. "H" will appear in the display.
6. The digit of hour segment will flash more than 2 second.
7. Press Bor Fto set the hour.
8. Press SLEEP/TIMER again, the digit of minutes segment will flash on the
display.
9. Press Bor Fto set the minutes.
10. Press SLEEP/TIMER again to store the start time.
11. Repeat steps 6~8 to set the timer off.
12. Press SLEEP/TIMER again to cancel time ON/OFF function, "H" will be
disappear.
OPERATION/SLEEP
1. Press SLEEP/TIMER, "SLEEP" appear on the display.
2. Keep pressing SLEEP to adjust the sleep time in the order of 90>80>70...10
minutes.
3. To cancel the sleep mode, press SLEEP/TIMER again.

OPERATION/PRESET EQUALIZER
Press PRESET EQ to select the digital sound performance in the order of FLAT,
CLASSIC, ROCK, POP and JAZZ.
OPERATION/MUTE
Press MUTE to terminate the sound output. Press again to cancel this mode.
GENERAL
Set not reacting when any function button is pressed.
The normal function of the product may be disturbed by external interference,
just reset the product (reconnect of power source may be required) to resume
normal operation.
