UNPACKING THE UNIT
1.Carefully remove unit from its packaging.
2.Remove polystyrene shipper.

POWER SOURCE
Unwind the AC powercord at the back of the unit and connect it to a 230V Mains power
outlet.

RADIO OPERATION
1.Switch theFUNCTION knob (6)anti-clockwise to chooseMW or FM.
2.Ensure the FM antenna wire (19) is uncoiled.
3.Turn the ON/OFF VOLUMECONTROL knob (4) in a clockwise direction to turn the

Using the remote controller for CD Operation
All the function on the remote controller are only available for CD.
PLAY/PAUSE

Press the PLAY/PAUSE key to pause the
selection being played.
Press the PLAY/PAUSE key again to restart
the paused selection.
UP/FF

Press the UP/FF key once to go the start of
the next track.
Pressing and holding the UP/FF key you can
forward to any point in a selected track.
DOWN/REW

Press the DOWN/REW key once to go back
to the start of the current track. Press this key
twice to go back to the start of the previous
track.
Pressing and holding the DOWN/REW key you
can reverse to any point in a selected track.
RANDOM

When stop press this key to start random play.
REPEAT
7
Press the REPEAT key once to play current
track repeatedly, press this key twice to play
all tracks repeatedly. Press it in the third time,
repeat cancel and resume normal playing.
STOP

Press the STOP key to stop playing the
selected CD.

Press the key, the CD drawer is opened or
closed.

CD OPERATION
1.Rotate the FUNCTION KNOB (6) to the CD position.
2.The CD TRACK NUMBER DISPLAY (9) will illuminate.
3.Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (11) and insert your CD with the printed side
of the disc facing upwards into the CD Drawer(7).
4.Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (11) and allow time for the disc to initialize
and the total number of tracks will be displayed.
5.Then press the PLAY/PAUSE button (14) and adjust the VOLUME (4) to the
desired sound level.
6.To move the tracks upwards, press the FORWARD SKIP button (13), or to go
back a track, press BACKWARD SKIP button (12).
7.To pause the track, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (14).
8.To stop the Player, press the STOP button (15).
TURNTABLE OPERATION
1.Rotate the FUNCTION knob (6) to the PHONO position.
2.Select the speed of the record, SPEED CHANGER button (22).
3.Place a record onto the turntable. Lift the Tone Arm with the ARM CUE (21)
and move gently to the desired position over the record.
4.Lower the ARM CUE (21) and note that, if the turntable does not rotate when
the tone arm is moved towards the record, this may be an indication the Drive
belt has been detached from the Turntable.If so,please refer to the Re-
attaching the Turntable Drive Belt section further in this booklet.
5.The tone arm will automatically return to the Tone Arm rest after reaching the
end of the record.
CASSETTE FUNCTION
1.Rotate the FUNCTION knob (6) to the Tape position.
2.Insert the Tape with the narrowest edge into the slot with the exposed tape
end facing the rear of the cabinet.
3.Ease the cassette into the mechanism and the cassette will automatically
latch into position.
4.Adjust the Volume to the desired sound level.
5.Should you wish to skip tracks, press the EJECT/FFWD button (26) halfway
in and this will engage the Fast Forward Mode.
6.To rewind, eject the tape and turn the tape over and repeat the above
procedure.

Finger marks and dust should be carefully wiped off
the disc's recorded surface with a soft cloth (not included).

Use a screwdriver to remove the black iron C-clip and lift
the turntable off the phonograph mechanism.
Retrieve the dropped black rubber band and replace
it around the column on the bottom of the turntable,
then pull it out gently without overstretching and hook
the band around the small column point at the edge
of the turntable, as shown in the diagram.
To fix the turntable back onto the phonograph mechanism,
make sure the column point is positioned over the correct
place on the phonograph mechanism, while placing the
axis of the turntable in the hole on the phonograph
mechanism, as shown in the diagram.
Gently turn the turntable until a 'plop'-sound is heard,
which indicates the repositioning of the rubber band.
Replace the C-clip to secure the turntable.
THE BELT IS FACTORY FITTED - USE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

The product may fall and could cause serious
injury to a child or an adult, and serious damage
may occur tothe product. Useonly with acart,
tripod, bracket or table recommended by the
manufacturer or sold with the product. Any
mounting of the product should follow the
manufacturer's instructions and only a mounting
accessory should be used that is recommended by the manufacturer.
9. Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and
to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, and
these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be
blocked by placingthe product on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surfaces.
This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or
rack unless properventilation is provided or the manufacturer's instructions have
been adhered to.
10. Power Sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power
source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of the
power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.
For products intendedto operate from battery power or other sources, please
refer to the operating instructions.
11.Grounding or Polarization- This product may be equipped with a polarized
alternating current lineplug (a plughaving one blade wider than the other).
This plug will fit into the power outlet in only oneway. This is a safety feature. If
you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the
plug should stillfail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. Alternate Warning This
product is equippedwith 3-wire grounding type plug, a plug have a third
(grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a grounding type power outlet. - This
is a safetyfeature. If you are unableto insert the plug into the outlet, contact
your electrician toreplace your obsolete outlet. Do notdefeat the safety purpose
of the grounding type plug.

12.Power Cord Protection- Power supply cords should be routed so that they
are not likelyto be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them,
paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacle and point
where they exitfrom the product.
13.Protective Attachment Plug - The product is equipped with an attachment
plug with overload protection. This is a safety feature. See Instruction Manual
for replacement or resetting of protective device. If replacement of the plug is
required, be sure the service technician has used a replacement plug specified
by the manufacturer, with the same overload protection as the original plug.
14.Lightning - For added protection for this product during lightning storms or
when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug from the
outlet socket and disconnect the antenna or cable system, where applicable.
This will prevent damage to the product dueto lightning and power line surges.
15.Power Lines - Anoutside antenna system should not belocated in the vicinity
of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can
fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna
system, extreme careshould be taken not to touch such power lines or circuits
as contact with them might be fatal.
16.Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral
convenience receptacles asthis could result in a risk of fire orelectric shock.
Never spill liquidof any kind on the product.
17.Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or
removing covers mayexpose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
18.Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualifiedservice personnel under the following conditions:
a. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
b. If liquidhas been spilled,or objects havefallen into the product.
c. If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
d. If the product does not operate normallyby following the operating instructions.
Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an
improper adjustment ofother controls may result in damage and will often require
extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to its normal
operation.
e. If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way.
f. When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance this indicates a
need for service.
19. Replacement Parts -When replacement parts are required, be sure the service
technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the
same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result
in fire, electricshock, or other hazards.
20. Safety Check - Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the
Service Technician to performsafety checks to determine that the product is in
proper operating condition.
21. Heat - The product should be situated away from heatsources such as radiators,
heaters, fireplaces and cookers and other products (including amplifiers) that
produce heat.

Troubleshooting Guide Chart
In case of trouble with the unit, please look through this chart and see if you can solve the problem by yourself before calling your
dealer.
