attemptingtoinstall onaforeignvehicle(non-
GeneralMotors,Fordor Chrysler).
A properly installed DRL Flasher will modulate the vehicle's
highbeamheadlight. Whenused atnight,thelowbeamhead-
lights remain on for proper illumination while the high beam
flashtogainattentionandincreasethevehicle'svisibility. When
the dimmer switch is activated to "high beam", the flasher
system"HighBeamOverride"interruptstheflashersequence
to allow for normal high beam function. Flashing automati-
cally resumes when the dimmer switch is deactivated. Any
timetheflasheroreither high or lowbeamheadlightsareOFF,
the DRL function will turn the high beam headlights on at 1/2
brightness.
INSTALLATION
MOUNTING: Mount the flasher so the maximum amount of
air will flow across it, typically in the front passenger side of
theenginecompartment.
GREENWIRE: Connectto a convenientreliableground.
NOTE
Alwaysconnect the green wireFIRST when
installing and disconnect LAST when
removing!
BLUEWIRE: Locate the wire thatsupplies power tothe high
beam headlights. Connect the blue wire to the high beam
headlightwire.
NOTE
Maximumtotalhighbeamoutputis110 watts.
DONOTusewithfoursealedbeamheadlight
system. If more wattage is needed, use a
Daytime Running Light Module with a
standardflasher.
GRAYWIRE: "T"ortapintothevehicle'slow beam headlight
wire.
BLACKWIRE (OPTIONAL): If an"Automatic Nighttime Cut-
off"is required, simply "T" or tap theblack wire into the flash-
ers gray wire. If not required, connect to ground.
REDWIRE: Connecttoa powered switch. Only a1/4ampis
required to operate the flasher. When the red wire is acti-
vated, the flasher will go into a three pattern, continuously
cycledmode(multi-pattern).

WHITE/RED WIRE: "T" or tap into the vehicle's wire that
becomes HOT when the vehicle is started and COLD when
thevehicleis turned off.
PINKWIRE(OPTIONAL): ConnecttotheHOT side of a user
suppliedswitch,thepark brake orneutralsafetyswitch. When
the pink wire is grounded through one of the switches, the
DRLfunctionand marker lightswill be deactivated.
ORANGEWIRE: Eitherorangewire"T"ortapintothevehicle's
side marker light circuit HOT wire.
The other orange wire: Connect through a 20 amp fuse di-
rectly to the positive post of the battery.
NOTE
DO NOT USE A CIRCUIT BREAKER OR
FUSIBLE LINK. ATO FUSE IS
RECOMMENDED.
WHITE WIRE: Connect through anATO type fuse (20 amp)
to the positive post of the battery. DO NOT USEACIRCUIT
BREAKERORFUSIBLE LINK.
WARRANTY
SoundOffSignalwarrantiesthe ETTMDRL RelayDrivenElec-
tronic Flasher Systems for one (1) year from the date of pur-
chase to the original purchaser against any manufactured
defects or workmanship. This warranty applies only to units
installedaccording to manufacturer's installationinstructions
andoperated within theunits specifications.
SoundOff Signal's obligation under this warranty is limited to
repairingorexchanging the unit.
Warranty is void if the unit was installed incorrectly or mali-
ciouslydamaged. All warranty claims must be accompanied
bya dated proof ofpurchase.
SoundOff Signal retains the right to be the sole mediator of
whatconstitutesdefects in performance ormanufacturing.
