DYNO PREAMP SERIES
Congratulations on your new Dyno Stagebox Preamp! Please ta e a moment to
review these important setup directions.
CONNECTIONS:
RHODES STAGE PIANO (All models)
Using a ¼” instrument cable, connect your piano’s “OUTPUT” jac to the
“INPUT” jac on top of your new Spea easy Preamp.
Using another ¼” instrument cable, connect the “OUTPUT” jac of your new
Spea easy Preamp to your external amplifier (Fender Twin, PA, etc.).
Turn all the preamp’s controls fully counter-cloc wise, and then turn on your
preamp and your amplifier, in that order.
RHODES SUITCASE PIANO (All models)
Using a ¼” instrument cable, connect your piano’s “ACCESSORY 1” jac to
the “INPUT” jac on top of your new Spea easy Preamp.
Using another ¼” instrument cable, connect the “OUTPUT” jac of your new
Spea easy Preamp to your piano’s “ACCESSORY 2” jac .
Turn all the preamp’s controls fully counter-cloc wise, and then turn on your
preamp and piano, in that order.
EFFECTS (phaser/chor s, wah wah, echo, etc.)
If you use effects for your piano, you should connect them so that they are
between the piano’s output (Accessory 1 jac on suitcase models) and the
Dyno Stagebox Preamp’s input jac .
INITIAL SETTINGS
STAGE: Turn the “Bass Boost” and “Volume” controls to maximum.
SUITCASE: Set your “Bass” to “0” and the “Treble” to maximum. Adjust the
“Volume” to a suitable level.
At the factory, your preamp was calibrated so that with the “Normal” nob set
to 10 (fully cloc wise) and the output level (red nob) set to 80%, the
preamp’s output level and tone would be exactly the same as it’s input level
and tone. Not all Rhodes pianos are the same, especially if it has not been
restored, so you should verify this by setting the controls as described and
chec ing your piano for normal volume and tone color.
