General introduction
Before you start using the Caddy e-Move please, please read these instructions carefully.
You should examine all possibilities and limitations of your Caddy e-Move.
Dear User,
The Caddy e-Move is a product of Special Mobility. Special Mobility products have
undoubtedly proven themselves over the years. You have chosen a quality product. This
manual will help you get acquainted with your transport means. Please read the
instructions completely before you start using this Transport Unit.
Among other here described the base frame and accessories and the operation and some
notes to take to heart. The safety instructions in this guide are general guidelines that
must be seen as broad guidelines.
You will find in this manual includes a detailed description of all the features of your
Caddy e-Move. Repairs require the knowledge of an expert. We advise you to repairs and
maintenance, conducted by an expert.

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
1.1 Structure and description
The Caddy e-Move has several components and parts shown in the illustration below. It
may be that your wheelchair is equipped with options and accessories that are not shown
on the sample drawing. However, this comes naturally to you while reading this manual.
The Caddy e-Move is not suitable for the transport of persons with a pressure condition.
The materials which come into contact with the coated skin are not curative or
preventative. Driving behavior and speed of the Caddy e-Move software are set by the
manufacturer. Changes in the operating software may only be performed by the
manufacturer. The Caddy e-Move has an automatic brake. This brake is activated when
the control stick is released.
The Caddy e-Move is designed for:
Persons weighing up to 150 kg.
Short-term transport of persons (max 2 hours)
Use on flat and paved surface
Taking forward speed max. 8 km/h
Use in backward maneuvering of max. 2 Km / h
Transportation max. 2 persons (excl. Driver) and one linked Caddy³
Special Mobility assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury resulting from any
use other than that for which the wheelchair was developed and designed.
You should well be aware of this manual before the Caddy e-Move is taken
into use.

1.3 Indications on the Caddye-Move
Identification label on the wheelchair.
The Caddy e-Move wheelchair is equipped with an identification sticker and various safety
stickers, identification sticker is located on the back of the electric drive module. There,
you can find all kind of stickers concerning the Caddy e-Move.
Below is an example of an identification sticker.

The markings, symbols and instructions are part of the safety
provisions. They may not be covered or removed. They must
remain throughout the life of the Caddy and be clearly legible.

using the Caddy e-Move.

1.5 CE declaration
The product manufactured under our own management as well as the inputted
components meet the
1) DIRECTIVE 2006/42 / EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL
of 17 May 2006 on machinery and the
2) DIRECTIVE 2013/35 / EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL
OF 26 JUNE concerning the minimum health and safety requirements regarding
the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (electromagnetic
fields) (twentieth individual Directive within the meaning of Article 16, paragraph
1 of Directive 89/391 / EEC) and repealing Directive 2004/40 / EC. Official Journal
of the European Union L 179 / 1-21, June 29 and on amending Directive 95/16 /
EC and therefore bears the CE mark.

1.7 Used Caddy e-Move and the environment
If your Caddy is superfluous or needs to be replaced, it can usually be taken back by the
manufacturer. If this is not possible, ask your local authority about the possibilities for
reuse or environment friendly processing of the materials used. For the production of the
wheelchair is made use of various types of plastics, metals, batteries, and electronic
components.
2. SAFETY
2.1 General Safety
Special Mobility bv imposes no liability for injury or damage caused by failure to strictly
adhere to the safety or by carelessness during the use and cleaning of the Caddy e-Move
and possible accessories. The Caddy e-Move is if the instructions for use as described in
this manual are followed, highly reliable and stable.
Contact the manufacturer directly if you observe a potential danger during the use of the
Caddy e-Move.
The user of the wheelchair is at all times fully responsible for compliance with
local safety regulations and guidelines.
Modification of the wheelchair is not allowed.
The technical specifications may not be changed.
The Caddy e-Move may only be operated by persons who are trained and
certified.
2.2 Warnings for safe use
Do not use the Caddy e-Move on streets or highways.
Do not use your wheelchair on the sand, rugged terrain, wet and slippery surfaces
or surfaces with low grip.
The unmanned transporting your Caddy e-Move in all vehicles specially adapted
and / or developed for the transport of the Caddy e-Move at your own risk. We
accept no liability for this.
The Caddy e-Move can not be used as a seat in a motor vehicle.
Surface temperatures can rise when the Caddy e-Move is exposed to external
heat such as sunlight.

3 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Checking before driving.
Ensure that the charger cord is disconnected.
Switch must be turned on (Figure 4 S).
Emergency button should be in the extended position (Figure 3 K).
3.2 Driving
The key switch must be in position 1 (Figure 3 H) The beacon light is working.
The On / Off button must be activated. (Figure 2B) The battery indicator lights up
(Figure 2A)
Select one of five speeds (Figure 2 D) Choose a speed at which the movement of
the Caddy E-move allows controlling. The settings are depending on the type of
transport being carried out.
Step on the footboard. (Figure 1 9)
Move the control stick (Figure 2E) in the direction you want to move the
Caddy e-Move.
The Caddy e-Move is equipped with a thermal security. If the engines are
overloaded than the thermal protection will enable the engines.
When reversing maneuver is activated automatically the software will activate the
"creep speed".
Stay with reversing maneuver always on the footboard to prevent
entrapment
3.3 Transfer
For the transfer of the person being transported, the key switch must be put to 0
(Figure 3 H), the flashing light is not working. The
Caddy e_Move can not now during the transfer inadvertently be put in motion.
Enter the transfer of the person to be transported in accordance with the safety
instructions and use Caddy³.
Attach the belt.
Place the hand luggage in the luggage rack (Figure 1 8)

3.4 Safety while driving
Keep well distance to persons int the surrounding of the Caddy e-Move.
Adjust your speed to the conditions.
Make sure to keep the passengers limbs within the contours of the Caddy e-Move.
Always check the safety belt is properly fitted.
3.5 Linking Caddy³
The Caddy e-Move is equipped with locking clamps (Figure 1 12). These clamps are
intended to link a Caddy³. 2 persons can then be transported simultaneously.
Watch out. Only a Caddy³ with special clamps can be linked.
Special Mobility accepts no responsibility if other than clamps and
ridges produced and installed by Special Mobility are used

Enter the transfer of the 2nd person to be transported in accordance with the
safety instructions and use Caddy³.
Lift the Caddy³ at the back and slide
the clamp over the ridge of the Caddy
e-Move until it locks on both sides.
The rear wheels of the Caddy³ are
now separated from the bottom.
The Caddy e-Move and Caddy³
are now linked.

3.6 Ramps
The Caddy e-Move Can be used at angles of up to 12,5%
It may be that when driving up a ramp to the front wheels of the Caddy
e_Move will light up. This, however, will depend on the weight that is being
transported. The Caddy e-Move is always controllable.
To prevent tilting backwards, the Caddy e-Move is equipped with anti-tip
wheels.

3.7 Maneuvering in tight spaces
When maneuvering in tight spaces should take into account the maximum
turning radius. (see technical specifications)

3.8 Noise emission
The Caddy e-Move is fitted with electric motors that have a sound emission
of <63 dB at 50 cm distance
3.9 Freewheel
If failure occurres, or the batteries are discharged. It may be necessary
that the Caddy e-Move must be moved manually. For this purpose the
motors need to be unlocked.
To unlock the left motor, the left handle (Figure 7 F) must be turned a quarter of
a turn clockwise.
To unlock the right engine, the right handle (Figure 7 G) must be turned a quarter
of a turn anti-clockwise.
(Figure 7 F) at the hands of the clock in a quarter of a turn to be rotated.
Locking is done in reverse order.
Warning: When the motors are unlocked, the Caddy e-Move has no
brakes

3:10 Charging batteries
The Caddy e-Move features an integrated charger
To load the batteries, the Caddy e-Move must be connected with a standard plug
on 220/230 volts of electricity.
The main switch (Figure 4 S) should be on.
The caddy e-Move is protected against driving off without the power cord is
disconnected.
on the driving compartment (Figure 1, 11) is an LED indicator light disposed. If
the LED is green then the batteries are fully charged.
See, for a description of the charging process, the Annex AGM Battery Charger.
Please note that it does not complete a full course of the charging cycle has the
effect that the battery pack suffers damage. The life of the battery pack is thus
greatly reduced.
3:11 Education / Qualification
The Caddy e-Move may only be operated by trained and certified employees.
Special Mobility organizes a training and certification of staff training other
employees.
4 Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Caddy e-Move
Decrease dry dirt
Clean the upholstery, metal parts and frame parts with a soft dry cloth.
Mud and other wet dirt decrease
First clean the dirty parts with a wet sponge. Then rub the parts with a dry soft
cloth.
4.2 Maintenance Interval
The maintenance interval depends on the deployed hours.
There will be individually agreed what is the right frequency.
